I am new to this low carb stuff and just got started. I am wondering how to make the PB smoothie that is frequently mentioned---also, anyone have any other snack type recipes? I am getting tired of the same stuff.

Hey Jackie! Are you talking about the PB smoothie I make? If so, here's what I do--
1 cup skim milk
1 package of Myoplex Lite vanilla or choco protein powder (sometimes I use half a pack - it has 25 grams of protein)
Mix in the blender really well...
Then, I add 1 container of light (low sugar) vanilla yogurt and 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter and a couple ice cubes. Blend. It's pretty thick, but yummy. I like it with vanilla best because I taste the pb more. :D

Hi Jenn-
Yep, that's what I was looking for. I am low-carbing-week 2 now and looking for things to eat. I was reading everyone's check ins!
Does the protein powder have to be the specific brand-or can it be any protein powder?
Thanks!
Jackie

You can also make your smoothies with Hood Carb Countdown Milk. It only has 3 grams of carbs per 8 oz. and is delicious!

Hey Jackie! I am sorry I just now saw this. You can use any protein powder you like, but make sure to check the sugar content. Some are so sugary. I use the Myoplex Lite because it's lower carb without the use of sugar alcohol. That milk Jeanie recommended would be another great way to cut carbs. Let me know what you think when you try one! I think it's like a thick milkshake - love it! :D
