Hi, everyone,

I know there are some great rotations with the new WHFNs floating around, and we would love to see them all posted over on the Reviews and Rotations forum. Once we have more posted, we can find an easy way to organize them for easier viewing. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! :)

Hello everyone!
Here's my rotation calendar. I have devoted Thursdays to Upper Body and Fridays to Lower Body (since WHFN has only one Upper Body workout - which is great by the way! - I would suggest you alternate it between Firm Parts-Upper Body and Upper Body Split - I'm sticking to Upper Body Burn for 4 weeks, then rotate. You can also fit in Firm Parts-Standing Legs and Lower Body Split on Fridays). Also, Wednesdays are dedicated to pure cardio/Tae Bo (no weights) and Saturdays to Power Yoga.

Week 1
Mon Strong Bear
Tue Fast Cheetah
Wed Tae Bo Cardio
Thu Upper Body Burn
Fri Lower Body Burn
Sat Brian Kest's Power Yoga 1 - Energize

Week 2
Mon Pump
Tue Lean
Wed Tae Bo Strength (or Power)
Thu Upper Body Burn
Fri Flex Posture
Sat Brian Kest's Power Yoga 2 - Tone

Week 3
Mon Crunch Time
Tue Steamin' Cardio
Wed Tae Bo Energy
Thu Upper Body Burn
Fri Lower Body Burn
Sat Brian Kest's Power Yoga 1 - Energize (or 3 - Sweat)

Week 4
Mon Metaboost
Tue Lean
Wed Tae Bo Flex
Thu Upper Body Burn
Fri Floor Burn
Sat Brian Kest's Power Yoga 2 - Tone (or 1- Energize)

I hope you find it helpful. I would appreciate any thoughts and/or modifications on it.

Chris.

Chris,

I like your rotation a lot. I don't own any Tae Bo. Would you suggest replacing those days with pure cardio?

I'm glad! Of course you can use any pure cardio workout to give your white muscle tissue a rest (especially your legs, since you will work them again on Friday). I use kick boxing (and sometimes incorporate Contact Tae Bo) to release some stress!!!

Cheers!

I also believe that 5-Day Abs and More 5-Day Abs are irreplaceable so I use them after almost every workout (especially Tae Bo). I do not work my abs after the Saturday Power Yoga class, for obvious reasons... :D

Now that a new FitPrime/KickButt DVD combo is out, I hope that the makers reconsider giving out a new rotation calendar incorporating both sets... Don't you agree?

:D

I'm wondering what factors go into designing a rotation. Obviously, a rotation will rotate between different groups of muscles. And, again obviously, you want a mix of cardio and weight sessions. But, for example, in the first week of the KickButt rotation, Strong Bear and Fast Cheetah appear twice. In the second week, Crunch Time and Floor Burn appear twice. Why? Also, I am enjoying the new DVDs so much, I am sometimes doing two of them a day. Do the same rotation rules apply or is there some subtle nuance that will make these extra workouts more effective?

Because there has never been a rationale or explanation for the WHFN rotations (and the Firm rotations too for that matter), I have always thought that they were somewhat randomly designed.

I would like to know this also. The mechanics of it. Hope that gets answered by the people who are in the know

I recently received an e-mail from whfn about the Rock that Butt Core-Hip-Thigh DVD with 3 KickButt and 3 FitPrime workouts. I have all the workouts but would like to know if anyone has the rotation for this series. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new at this, but here's my rotation. Sunday is always a rest day from weights (except that I do Flex Posture or Floor Burn any day I have time and incliniation), and I walk hills pretty regularly.

(Does everyone do extra ab work? Thanks for the info!)

I just purchased the Metaboost/Kickbutt combo. These are the ony two I have although I do have some other Firm videos. Any thoughts on a rotation would be great!

What other FIRMs do you have?

lionlawyer

I have: Complete Aerobic & WT; Fat Blaster, Max Cardio, Sculpt + Abs, Total Muscle Shaping, Hips, Abs and Thighs, Cardio Sculpt, Total Sculpt, Complete Body Shaping. I have a question: I did Flex on Saturday (not all of it), Metaboost on Sunday and CA&WT on Monday; my thighs are saying hello in a nice way. Is that the Metaboost? Although I just recently began to do the tall box climbs (I used to use the 8 inch step only), I think it was the crabs and the whole zipper routine. Thoughts?

I, too, am looking for a rotation calendar that combines both KickButt and FitPrime. The question posed by several writers was: "What factors go into designing a rotation?..." This question has not been answered by the professionals. I would love to see a reply from the Benson's or one of the instructors. Thanks.

Heidi Tanner posted about how to develop a rotation awhile back. I may have printed it. I'll look through my fitness binder to see if I can find it.

The first step was to classify all your videos. (She said this is an individual thing: what is AWT for one might be Cardio for another). I remember she also suggested getting all your videos out, and with your goals in mind, putting them in order then write it down.

Body types, fitness levels, preferences all affect what kind of rotation will work for someone. Even if an "expert" gives you a rotation, that doesn't mean it will help *you* reach *your* individual goals.

Thanks for that reminder Lisa. I may have that info from Heidi as well. I may have time Monday or Tuesday to look for it...not sure though.
