View Full Version : What is your opinion on doubling up?

I am loving the WHFNs! Most of the time I feel that I need to add on another workout before or after. I have been rotating them 1-6 fitprime and then 1-6 kickbutt. I will either add a 30 min cardio (Firm or Cathe) or I will do 20 min of core.
Does this sound good, or should I be doing the cross trainers on the same day? I workout 6 days/week and I am trying to avoid overtraining.
Thanks for the help.
Allison;)

Allison, I've also been thinking about adding on a short cardio workout either before or after my FitPrimes/Kickbutts. There have been days when I combined the FitPrime/Kickbutts (Fast Cheetah & Strong Bear, for example), but I felt a little overworked.

When the DVD's first arrive, I was doing Fitprime and Kickbutt on the same day. I was matching volume numbers - so I would do Metaboost in the morning and then Strong Bear at night one day, Flex Posture in the morining and Fast Cheetah at night and so on.

Then my TransFIRMer system arrived. So now I am trying to incorporate BSS4 6 tapes with all 12 of WHNN. I have alter my schedule to workout out 5 days a week with two days (Tuesday and Friday) off. I double up the workouts on Sun, Mon, Wed, and Thu.

Sat-Mon is dedicated to the FIRM and Wed and Thu are dedicated to WHFN.

I have been doubling up pretty often, but whether I do or not depends on how I feel. I usual do at least 30 minutes of cardio (usually Cathe) followed by either a FitPrime or KickButt. I have also done different combinations of Fitprime/KickButt back to back. I have been working so hard lately on my diet and have slightly increased exercise to help lose weight, and I am thinking that once I am done with that, I am not going to work quite so hard. ;)

Hi! I'm new to the forum - love these workouts!!!

I've been doubling up for the past week. One in the morning and then it's partner in the evening. Part of it was the excitement of wanting to try all the workouts; now I like the feeling of strength and alignment. I did take a rest day yesterday (yard work, no WHFN) and plan to continue doubling up this week too. I'm curious as to what results I'll get!

I've been doing at least 30 minutes of cardio before my WHFN workouts. They have either been Kimberly Spreen's kickboxing workout from her Triple Threat DVD, Tae Bo AL#10 cardio section, BSS4 cardio workout, or one of the Firm's BSS3 cardio workouts.

If I were going to add cardio, I'd add it after the weights, not before. It takes 20 minutes of working out for your body to get past burning glucose and start burning fat. ;)

That's one of the things I like about the new workouts: many have the sculpting/floor/core portions at the beginning. A wonderful improvement IMHO.

Great idea Lisa!
Thanks everyone. I have been doing a 30 min cardio or Coremax. I would love to hear everyones results.
