If you've got a 6- or 12-pack Collector's Edition, have you noticed the colors of the spines of the dvds?
While each workout features "4-Way Fusion" (4 training methods in each workout), the workout spines are color coded according to the predominant training emphasis in the workout:
(a) Blue = weight emphasis (darker blue is more weights than lighter blue)
(b) Magenta = cardio emphasis (darker is more cardio than lighter magenta)
(c) Orange = more yoga/pilates emphasis and
(d) Green = aerobic weight training.
These colors correspond to the bar graph shown on the Training Calendar-- and to the pie chart shown on each dvd back cover. (For the dvd spines, orange includes both yoga and pilates emphasis.)
Also, keep in mind that some activities are "dual purpose." For instance, a 4-limbed activity can combine both weight- and cardio-training. The charts and graphs show the predominant training factor-- and do not show the secondary training factor.
FitPrime is more "weights" oriented because of muscle loss after age 35. KickButt! is the only System to have aerobic weight training because of the physical demands of that method. KickButt also has more vigorous cardio activities.
Both FitPrime and KickButt! workouts are designed to be used as a "system" -- so the emphasis will vary from workout to workout to avoid overtraining.
Does this help??:)
