This is one for me to grow with. I still struggle to "get" some pilates moves, so I really had to focus on this workout.
Music is fantasic and Tamela is poised and beautiful! The workout alternates pilates, yoga, and aerobics with light weights. There are a number of balance and hip opening moves here too. It is a great day off or sunday workout.

I did this workout for the first time tonight and I loved it. Yoga and pilates are my favorites. I also need weights and cardio for my health. Tamela is a very spirited instructor and she reminds me to focus on my breathing and posture. The calorie burn with this workout amazed me- 295 calories in 55 minutes! The time absolutely flew by- before I knew it, the workout was finished! Now I feel relaxed and energized, like I just had a massage.

Were you in your aerobic zone at all? I haven't even previewed this one.

I did this one last night. First things first. The production quality is stunning and everyone looks great. Tamela looks awesome and I think her tatoo on her left leg is cute. She looks very intent, but her personality breaks through when she smiles or says something kind of cute. Music of course, sounds fabulous. So this w/o LOOKS and SOUNDS great.
But as for the substance, I'm not sure yet. It's hard to classify this w/o - there's some yoga and pilates sequences, but also a couple of cardio and light weight tunes that almost seem beside the point. Maybe I would have liked it more if it had been ALL yoga and pilates. Not hard to do at all, and I did NOT sweat (which is VERY rare for me - I usually start sweating in the warm-up!)
So I think I will have to do this one more to figure out whether I truly like it or not. I know the purpose of this w/o is to cross train w/ Metaboost, but it feels more like a stretching w/o, with sporadic stuff thrown in.

I think FlexPosture is probably going to be the most misunderstood and most underrated workout in the set, but I also think not including it in a WHFN workout rotation will be a mistake, because it includes exercises that complement those in the other workouts beautifully. It was the first new workout I used (I have the two retail DVDs and am waiting more or less patiently for the entire set from WHFN)--I used it the day after I had done Weights First. It made my body feel wonderful, especially my midsection, my shoulders and my neck.

"Were you in your aerobic zone at all?"
I use a Mio Shape heart rate monitor watch- my high heart rate was 123 bpm. By the time the workout ended, it was 103 bpm. This workout is a good one to do the day after a tough workout- I had DOMS from Upper Body Burn, so I used 3 lb. weights for this one.

I didn't liked this tape. I get more from The Firm Power Yoga and Wilson Pilates. I was expecting it to be more intense. It is like for people who never exercise.

I did this workout today after doing Metaboost yesterday. According to my HRM, I only burned ~ 100 calories during this workout (as compared to 300 calories during Metaboost). Though I did not break a sweat, I really enjoyed this workout. It is different from other workouts I have so I definitely will keep it. I can see myself using this on a "Rest or Yoga/Stretch" day or the day after a tough workout if I need something less intense. Loved it!!

I agree with this. I just completed this workout. To answer one question above, I did get 16 minutes in my aerobic zone. Tamela does seem very serious, but her instruction is superb. She tells you to keep your navel in just when it's sneaking out. This is a great one to compliment a tough workout for the day after.

For me, I don't use yoga tapes for my aerobic zone, but to increase my flexibility and my strength. I think flex posture will be a wonderful addition to this series (I also did it the day after metaboost).

Exactly, that's why I posted my thread the way I did - b/c I'm not quite sure I do "get" it (in fact, I'm pretty sure I don't). I really like Tamela in it, although she could have been a little more upbeat - she looks like a little girl who's trying hard to be "good." I loved her comment about those grasshopper things or crickets or whatever bug and then threw in "there's no place like home," I busted out laughing! And she looks gorgeous and did she age at all?
At first I thought the rug was too busy, but then I liked how it matched Tamela's top!:p
Oh, and I probably will buy a yoga block - my book just wasn't cutting it!:D Anyone know which size to get?

I felt Flex Posture was a nice follow-up to Metaboost which I did yesterday. Metaboost had me sweating buckets then today I spent 55 min. stretching, working on balance and core with a little cardio thrown in. Since I'm following the rotation Jammin' posted, I believe Strong Bear is up tomorrow. And I'll be ready to heavy up again.
Just because it doesn't feel like you're working hard doesn't mean your muscles aren't benefiting from the workout.

The following was posted by Tamela Hastie (on another thread):
In regards to Pilates - please try Flex posture - We incorporated pilates principals as well as yoga training. I have heard so many things about Flex posture not being hard enough - It is what you put into it! One thing that Flex Posture gave me is acceptance and peace with my body.( Does one have to be miserable when they work out? )Flexposture is like giving yourself a massage everytime you do it Its icing on the cake! Moving the spine properly and working with the CNS will work wonders - remember that anything that you do to increase you flexiblity and your body awareness the better off - you will have the tools to "advance the movments" or to offset injury while you mve about your day.

I agree completely that you get out of it what you put into it. I LOVE the FlexPosture workout. I have done this two days in a row now in the afternoon before dinner and it is such a wonderful, calming workout. I've heard many times that with Pilates type work, it's something that you work constantly to improve. It may seem simple on the surface, but, it can be continually fine tuned. I think as I get older it's even more important to incorporate this type of workout into my schedule.
I love FlexPosture and am SO glad that Tamela led this class.
Two thumbs up!!

I haven't done this workout yet, but have viewed it and am looking forward to it. Tamela definantly has classic pilates training-its evident in her breathing-it sounds strange but is done to really force the air out. I also cracked up when she did the grasshoppers(aka) heel beats. I thought her comment was cute.

I did FlexPosture yesterday (actually after Fast Cheetah -- b/c I was off from work AND curious). I wanted to add my thoughts about "not feeling like you're working hard enough" as some of the posts have mentioned.
One of the reasons I struggle a little with Pilates/ Yoga is because when I'm weight training or running it is so obvious that I'm working hard and do not have to question it. But, weight training and running are easy to do in terms of learning how to do them correctly and then it's just a matter of building up strength and stamina.
Pilates and Yoga (to me) have much more to do with correct breathing, positioning, CORE strength, concentrated mental attitude -- things that really take time, not only to master, but to do simultaneously.
That said, I really appreciate FlexPosture in that not only is it a true fusion workout, but it will work with all those heavy weights or heavy cardio workouts beautifully. Remember how the 6 original Firms all had a different emphasis and not one reminded you of the other in substance? I think Anna has created the same effect here.

If one does ALL weights/cardio training, your muscles tend to bunch up and
the energy does not flow correctly in your body. When you combine yoga (and I prefer non-power) you open the energy flow and it keeps you supple. Pilates builds the core better than any crunch. Sometimes its not all about calorie burn.;)
I think the yoga, cardio, weight, pilates combo is awesome! Leave it to one of the original Firm creators to come up with the perfect workout.

I choose Flex Posture for my very first WHFN workout. Since I usually don't workout on Saturday, I was hoping this workout was more like the stretchy variety than cardio/weights.
I was right; I'm feeling relaxed and about 2 inches taller. But it will take me a few more times to get the moves down. This workout requires mental focus and there is a slight learning curve.
I was so happy to see Tamela again! I'm so looking forward to doing this workout again. :D
P.S. Everybody is right about the colors and sound being perfect. These workouts are so incredibly beautiful. I'm thrilled!

FlexPosture - Tackling the Third Component of Fitness
Stretching which increases flexibility is the most neglected component of Fitness.
This workout admirably tackles this issue.
Do not expect a heart thumping aerobic workout. You will not get it here. What you will get is your muscles work in a different way, a less impacted way.
For those of you who care about increasing your flexibility and strength through none impacted ways (Pilates and Yoga), this is an excellent workout. I give it an A.

I chose Flexposture because I'm working on an injury and didn't want to overdue. I enjoyed this w/o and felt very refreshed afterward, but since I'm not familiar with a lot of yoga, some of the moves, along with the breathing, will take some getting used to.

I did Flexposture today and enjoyed it. My muscles needed a rest after doing almost all of the other FP's since last Wed. It is a nice fusion workout and made me feel tall and lean afterward. I did change up a few moves. The pilates side leg series was done with both legs extended like I am used to in class for one thing. I wasn't crazy about doing the saw on the box, but loved the triange stretch using the tall box. I also loved the balance work and the ankle work-it made me think of my aunt-she is 71 yrs old and is having heck with a broken ankle right now. I want to prevent that type of injury for myself someday.
Its a great workout for a rest day after doing some heavy weight work. Tamela did a great job of leading the workout and I am looking forward to doing this one again.

I just got my 12-pack yesterday (woo hoo! Most exciting day of my life - how pathetic am I?). I am recovering from a cold, so I wasn't ready to do any heavy lifting or intense cardio - so I decided to make FlexPosture my first workout from the WHFN series.
I really enjoyed this workout. It was invigorating, and yet relaxing at the same time. It wasn't particularly difficult - so I think it's perfect for a rest day or for a day when you're just not feeling 100%. I burned 210 calories during this workout, avg HR was 121. So again, not particularly strenuous. But it felt great and was a wonderful way to start my morning. Any other workout would have sent me in to a coughing fit, and I would have had trouble breathing due to stuffy sinuses. But I think FlexPosture actually opened up my sinuses and made breathing easier.
Like others have said - vivid colors and beautiful music. Tamela does a great job with cueing and giving form pointers. For the part of the workout where you're lying on your tummy with your forehead on the Yoga block - I didn't feel like I needed to look at the tv to see what they were doing. I was able to follow Tamela's guidance with no trouble at all. I have other Yoga-type workouts where the cueing is not so great and I find myself craning my neck to see the tv when I'm in a pose where I shouldn't be craning my neck at all. Cueing is so very important for these moves and Tamela does awesome. :)
All in all, I loved this workout and will definitely be working it into my rotations.

I previewed Flex Posture last Thursday and I loved looking at it! Tamela is so beautiful and poised and elegant and everything! This workout will be so great with my other Pilates workouts. I'm also going to get some of The Method workouts as well. I would love to get classic Pilates training! I would classify this workout as yoga/pilates with light cardio/weight thrown in for total body effectiveness. I think this is primarily a Yoga/Pilates workout though.

I did half Flexposture yesterday but did not have time to post. :( Life is just too busy sometimes to get these very important things done! *sigh*

I did Flex Posture today. I loved it. My first taste of Pilates moves and Tamela's cueing made it easy. It also showed just how UN-flexible I am. Definitely a good workout to have in my rotation.

Now I'm one who DID sweat buckets with this one and felt very worked out at the end. I REALLY focused and contracted muscles like Tamela said to do during the whole workout and I REALLY felt it all over. Maybe it's because I do AWT a lot but NOT yoga/pilates a lot. I LOVED this workout and can't wait to do it again. I give it a big A+!!!!!....Janice

I did Flex Posture this morning, not expecting much out of it, but was I wrong! I love the workout and Tamela. I with someone else who said that you get out of it what you put into it. It was a great workout and worked on some components of fitness that often seems to be left out! ................working smarter, not harder, maybe!

I really liked this workout. I have nothing else like it. I felt so relaxed when I finished that I wanted to do it again. I really focused on form and listening to Tamela's cue's. Tamela really did a great job instructing. Can't wait until it comes up in my rotation again.

I absolutely love this workout! I just finished doing it a third time, and each time it seems as though I'm working more muscles. I consider myself to be pretty fit, and I find this workout challenges me...unlike a lot of the other posts. It may be that I use the original firm barbell (w/o the weights) instead of an excercise stick. The arm moves in the beginning of the tape with the stick really work my arms and I have to rest in between! Throughout the tape, I feel so aware of all the muscles in my body and I'm constantly engaging them. I feel so refreshed, strong, and lengthened in the end.
The music on this one is awesome (my favorite of the 4 tapes I purchased) and very motivating as well. I feel the yoga and pilates emphasis really complements the rest of the FitPrime and KickButt workouts, and I hope they make more like it in the future! Well done!!

I did Flexposture for the 2nd time today and enjoyed it more! I have a feeling that the more I do it, the more I'm gonna like it. Yesterday, I did Core First in the morning, then while waiting for my DH & kids in the middle of the night, did Push Pull & then Metaboost. So today was definitely gonna be an easy day, and I thought Flexposture would be perfect. I really enjoy the music selection in this one, and it seemed to go by faster than the first time I did it. Plus, w/ my new yoga block (3 inches) and from reading many of the posts, I tried to concentrate more on contracting my abs. So I felt like I got much more out of it today. And I really enjoyed the cardio tunes w/ the arms moves b/c my upper body is a little sore from yesterday.
I think Tamela looks so great, and she seems to remind us to breathe exactly at the right time!

I had a very bad day yesterday, weepy, crampy, bloated - and having to find a dress for a formal event. Of course, nothing fit. So I went home depressed and did 30 min. on the Nordic Track and Flex Posture. Need I say, I felt great after?

Flexposture was my workout yesterday, too. Since it was my second time to do this workout, I was able to really concentrate on form. I felt it more this time around. Its got some of my fav moves-side kick series, modified side bends (or side planks) and planks along with some good work for the spinal erector muscles. I also really need to work on my balance(BIG TIME) so I am glad it incorparates that too!.

I too have just finish Flex Posture for the second time. I am amazed at how difficult some of the moves are. I am like "this shouldn't be hard". I look forward to the day when I can raise my hand, arms, head, thighs, knees, and feet off the floor at the same time like Tamela.

I did FlexPosture for the first time yesterday. I had my doubts about it before I tried it since I'm used to cardio/light weight training. I have to tell you that I felt stretched, relaxed, and invigorated after this workout. Even though it may not have been aerobic (at least for me), stretching and lenghtening our bodies should be part of everyone's workout. A big thumbs up!!!:D

I did Flex Posture yesterday and really felt it was lacking - that is, lacking as a yoga/pilates workout. I finished the workout with a sore lower back - which I never get from other yoga/pilates workouts, which are generally careful to cue regarding which exercises you need to be careful on. I also feel that some of the moves were modified so much from the original that the benefits were very much limited. For example, doing the saw while sitting on the tall box does not give you the stretch that doing the saw while sitting with your legs straight out does - you miss the lower back and hamstrings in particular. Doing the triangle pose while perched on the box does not add the strength component for the bent leg that is usually part of the move. I was disappointed.

I've done FlexPosture twice now, and really like it. I've taken many Iyengar yoga classes (the style that focuses on precise form), and have several yoga and pilates videos/DVDs. I can do most of my advanced pilates videos (I can do teasers, but have a hard time getting through some of the longer teaser series, IOW). Still, FlexPosture focuses on the muscles responsible for postural stability in such a different way than straight yoga or straight pilates do that I feel I'm sitting and standing even straighter than I ever have with those other disciplines alone. Tamela also demonstrates the breathing patterns, and wringing out breaths better than most other instructors I have in my video/DVD collection.
I modify by doing the saw, the tree, and the triangle in their original form rather than on the box, or keeping my foot low. I especially like the tree with the stick - it keeps my shoulder blades in exactly the right place - love it.
The first time I did FlexPosture, I thought the "cardio" moves with the stick were a little weak, but when I did it the second time, I realized how involved the muscles of the spine and shoulders/shoulder blades are - it's like moving Pilates. Wonderful!
It definitely has a place in my rotation. My one minor criticism is that I wish Tamela was a bit less serious in her demeanor - but that is a very minor nitpick.

I did this workout yesterday and I loved it!! I am not a big fan of yoga or pilates but I thought I would give it a shot. I classify myself as a middle/high intermediate exerciser and I got my heart rate up there, and burned 370 calories. The bonus was I felt refreshed and energized all day long. Tamela isn't as personable as others but I still got a lot out of the workout and a good idea of what I need to work on.

I used this today to complete a mega workout I did to make up for this weekend's transgressions. ;) I am so stretched out and at peace right now. It's wonderful! I LOVE Tamela! Oh, and I really expected it to drag a bit because it is a slower paced workout, and I had worked out for quite a while before doing it...well, the time completely flew by - I could not believe it! I can see myself doing this one regularly. It's wonderful!

EXQUISITE!
soon as I saw that this was gonna be a barefoot workout I knew I was going to like it!
after the warm-up I felt my inner goddess being released. (girls stop laughing at me:D )
then when the cardio with the dowel was happening...gee...I felt like Uma in Kill Bill! then my warrior princess was going to town with the stick-moves!
I love this workout! I feel fabulous! On top of the world right now! Ready to conquer the day!
The yoga block is so much fun to use. I love the background exercisers in the workouts again too. Missed them actually now that I come to think of it in the last Fitprime collection.
I felt like Demi in Charlie's Angels after I was finished. Toned, sexy, strong & downright beautiful. What an exquisite workout. Gotta like that!

I do not want to come across as critical but I have yoga and Pilates tapes that are very challenging and good. I don't think that this one is as good. but then I really was not expecting that. I think that the problem is the over modifications of the moves. It is modified to the point where it does take away from the original purpose of the moves. I really think that this could have been done better. I will still do this workout in combination with the rotation because I think that is the only way you can get the full benefit of the workouts. But if I needed to do a Pilate's or yoga workout by itself I would not reach for this one.
I did FlexPosture yesterday (actually after Fast Cheetah -- b/c I was off from work AND curious). I wanted to add my thoughts about "not feeling like you're working hard enough" as some of the posts have mentioned.

This workout has some interesting ideas, but nothing was really built upon to go for that nice burn. And, honestly, Tamela is so much more engaging when she smiles and approaches the task at hand with lightheartedness. Way too serious - yoga and pilates do not need to be so serious! Also, she seemed more interested in putting on a show than in instructing. That's not to say her intructing wasn't easy to follow, it's just that it seemed like 'the Tamela Show' first, and the workout, second. Need I mention the "TFL" comment, anyone?
Remember Cardio Burn from the Firm series that Tamela led? That is one of my favorite all time videos. I would like to see that Tamela return.
Just my opinion...

I did only part of this workout yesterday because that is all time allowed. I always feel refreshed when I do this w/o but the calorie burn is minimal. I'm lucky if I burn 50-60 calories. I know everyone is different, but when I read that some of you have burned over 200-300 calories, it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Or if maybe I'm in better shape than I think I am. Hopefully that's it! I do like this refreshing w/o, but I agree on the "too serious" part. I just have to concentrate on how good it makes me feel!

To me, this is the perfect stress buster workout. I can't think of another workout that has made me feel so relaxed. And my posture was better for some reason. It also pointed out my inflexibility in certain areas, namely hips and shoulders. I plan on doing this workout several times a week until I improve. I also felt my transverse abs working hard. All in all, I loved the whole thing and at this point wouldn't change anything about it.

Fitpal, I burn no calories with this one either, not more than 100 (and that's with repeating segments where I wasn't happy with my form the first time.) I don't find Tamela too serious here, but her speech comes across to me as stilted and affected, kind of like Madonna after she decided she was British. "Have a seat on your glutes? "Vertebraaaaaaa"? I usually don't pay a great deal of attention to an instructor's mannerisms once I get going, but this one... maybe I still haven't gotten the hang of it.

What is TFL?

I don't know what TFL is either?
Some of Tamela's speech and inflection is pretty common in the area where she lives. I lived in Columbia for 4 years, and I loved the way people spoke there. Linguistically, there is a reason behind it as well, as the vast majority of settlers were British, and the area (used to be) somewhat isolated. :)

I looked it up, was bugging me too :D ....tfl....
http://www.deeptissue.com/learn/hip/tfl.htm
tensor fasciae latae
Action: flexes and internally rotates the hip Referral: into itself and the lateral hip
Comments:
Remember this muscles name because it tenses alot of fascia. The fascia that is attaches to is the iliotibial band. Work on this muscle when some has limited external rotation. Include the gluteus medius with your work.

This a wonderful workout. Very calming and invigorating at the same time! I felt both stronger and longer after doing this workout.
Tamela is inspiring as an instructor.

I kept meaning to mention Tamela's Madonna moments :D . I didn't know about the British connection, I guess it's a bit like New Englanders

It is like New Englanders! You are right. But the inflection is different. In some parts of North and South Carolina, especially in some isolated Outer Banks coastal communities, people say "hose" for house, "a boat" for about, and in general, the whole dialect is different. Pretty cool stuff, dialects!

Did this first time last night and I liked it. I really liked thepilates in it. :-) And Tamela gave awsome form pointers that I really appreciated. When I was done my posture was totally made over. All the damage from sitting at a desk all day seemed undone so it will definately find a weekly place in my rotation. ;-)
The only part I'm unsure of or would have preferred be different was the weight section. I was still sore from doing Push Pull the night before and then we do weights. I used 3 pounds but then that just felt like a waste of time. I didn't do any of the pushups cause that move really had left me with DOMS so I didn't want to do it while suffering that DOMS. Though I didn't mind the planks that were incorporated with the pushups.
The cardio sections I enjoyed and felt they meshed with the rest fine.
So just the weights. I will problably use this workout on my 3rd weight day as opposed to on a recovery day. Then I can heavy up on the weight section so I don't feel it's a waste of time and still get all the streching and core work that was so excellent too.
:-) Overall though - a winner. I'd love a workout like this without the weights and throw in some more yoga or pilates there instead. ;-)

Hi Diane,
I'm not an expert but I don't think you are supposed to used heavy weights or weights as we are used to with Pilates. Other Pilates videos I've seen/used that incorpoprated weights stated the maximum weight should be 3 pounds. I think that is because Pilates is supposed to work the very deep muscles and if your weight is too heavy the work transfers to the outer muscles

But the weight moves like lat rows, triceps kickback seemed done in a standard way. The weight parts felt like traditional weight moves. I've done pilates arm work with 3 pound weights and agree for that I wouldn't go heavier.
Just my thoughts though. I felt NOTHING doing lat rows with 3 pound weights even when concentrating on them and there weren't enough to do much. Now if it was the bug move ore something it would be different. Again just my thoughts.
Anyone else??? Am I way off???? how do you do the weights in this????

Ok, I did Flex Posture again last night. Still love what it does for my posture. I got rid of the firm stick and used a mop stick for the stick work which worked better.
I used 5 pound weights for the other stuff and I am thinking I wouldn't go heavier than that in this one at least.
Anyway, love what it does for my back, sholders and posture. ;-)

I agree with what you say, Diane. IMHO, these aren't moves that would be unsafe with heavier weights.
The first time I did this workout I used 3 lb weights --because, like you, I anticipated pilates weight moves that really must incorporate lighter weights. I found that 3 lbs. was wayyyy too light for these traditional moves. Now I use 5 lbs throughout this workout (for me, 5 lbs. would be classified as "light to medium"; normally I could do kickbacks with 8 & lat rows with 10-15). I really feel like for this specific workout, the 5 lbs. challenge me in just the right way.
I guess one could "heavy up" here, if one wanted to. But my personal preference is to use this workout to concentrate on form, stretching, breathing and alignment, not really building muscle. In FlexPosture, I feel like the intensity comes from the effort I put into perfecting my form, not from lifting heavy weights.
I also agree with everyone who says this workout is underrated for its level of difficulty. If you put a lot of effort into perfecting your form, balance, posture, etc. you'll find it very, very challenging indeed.
To change the subject slightly, I did this workout tonight after DD went to bed. I had a hard day and needed some rejuventation and relaxation. I turned all the lights down and worked out by candlelight. :p Sounds weird, but it worked wonders -- I feel like I took a vacation and came back all refreshed.
I absolutely love Tamela in this one-- her sunny personality really shines here.

Was a great relaxing workout. I find that I can do this one to ease me back into a rotation if I have been sick. This one is a good one if I just don’t feel like a hard workout. Also if I had a hard workout week scheduled it is a good one to stretch out my mussels.

I guess I sort of liked this workout when I first did it. I gave it a good review but then it made its way to the bottom of my workout stack. This and Lean were low on my favorite scale.
I already took back my comments about Lean. Now I must do the same here. This workout is fabulous. I feel energized and alive when I am done. I have taken my fitness routine to a new level which includes 2-3 kickboxing classes a week and two Pilates/Yoga fusion classes plus working out with the old Firms and Fitprimes. I try and do Flex Posture at least once a week. It soothes my back and my aching muscles. I concentrate hard on my breathing and really try to lengthen my body. Tamela is amazing. She has that Sara Ivanhoe approach that I like.. calm and informative without being too "mystical". Her grace and fluid movements inspire me.
Anyone who has wrote this workout off as too easy or weird should really try it again. Especially after a tough rotation week.
I have always loved Tamela in the Core Cardios and Cardio Burn (I think that is the title) but this workout and Floor Burn have made her an immediate favorite with me.
Thank you thank you thank you for this workout. :D

I came to this EXACT conclusion last night! I used 3's and made a note to use 5's next time.

Same here! When Flex Posture ended last night, I was not happy...I wanted more; I did not want Tamela to say goodbye to me. I love this workout more each time I do it. In fact, all the WHFNs have affected me like this.;)

First, let me say I consider myself an advanced exerciser. I do Cathe, Christi, CIA, Firm Classics, TLTs... and I like yoga.
This workout is absolutely wonderful. I feel like I've had a massage when I'm done. Tamela is a wonderful instructor, the set is lovely, and the music fits perfectly.
I think all the WHFNs are just great. You totally get out of a workout what you put into it. This one is a jewel that more people need to check out.
Thanks Tamela for a great workout!!:D

I did Flex Posture last night for the 16th time. The first time I did it, I thought I'd learn to like it very much. There is a lot of instruction and I couldn't do everything as well as I wanted when I started, but I thought it was a very good workout.
Well, last night it was pure heaven. That workout makes me feel so strong and yet there is a calming influence...it's just magical.
My only complaint is that I can't give Tamela a hug and say, "I love this wonderful workout!"

When I was 25, I wouldn't have given this workout a second thought. I had little patience with tapes that didn't leave me sweaty and sore. While I still appreciate that (!), Flex Posture is perfect right now, as I am working through an injury. I've done it a couple of times and feel really limber afterwards. It's a great end-of-a-hard-day workout, or a wonderful morning stretch out. While some of the yoga moves were very basic, I found I could easily modify to make it more challenging, while still making the necessary allowances for my wrist injury.
As for Tamela, it's interesting to note that people either really like her, or really don't! I tend to find her a little hard to swallow. She was practically frowning throughout the first half! Thankfully, she relaxed a little towards the end. It was such a departure from her demeanor in Cardio Burn. She was so cutsie in CB; I'm wondering if she was stung by criticism for being TOO perky, and is now overcompensating?? However, I find the more I do a workout, the less important those types of iritants can be. On a positive note, Her movements were very controlled and cueing was good.

I received my 12 pack on Friday and attempted Strong Bear. WOW! I wasn't able to get through more than 17 minutes of that, so today I decided to do FlexPosture in its entirety.
One of my long term fitness goals is to improve my posture, as I believe it is the number one aspect of youth that we can attain through diligent fitness and nutrition.
Flexposture addresses three major problem areas that are ignored too often in exercise videos: the triceps, calves and pelvic floor. The exercises are innovative, and this Adult Attention Deficit sufferer was quite pleased with the originality and variety presented here.
Although I wasn't expecting a cardio workout (I run/jog for that usually), I was amazed to find that I spent 23 minutes in my fat burning zone (I run in the high end of my cardio training zone). Unbelievable. I also burned 367 calories.
Tamela is simply delightful in Flexposture. Someone else here said that she acted a bit serious, as though she were trying to be a "good girl." I actually giggled :o when I read that, as I thought the same thing. Poor thing may have been trying to overcome the blonde bombshell image she had from Better Bodies and Buns. At any rate, her instruction is top notch, and she seems to know just when my belly needs to be reigned back in. I like both the solemn and the bubbly Tamela.
I have just finished the workout and feel FANTASTIC, just as if I'd had a massage! Couldn't feel more relaxed.
Tomorrow I will do Metaboost and report back.
Have a good day y'all!

Hey--is anyone checking in here, these days? ;) .
I just wanted to stop in to say that yesterday was my 10th workout with Flexposture and this workout has most definitely not lost its charm.
This is a workout that I actually have to keep myself from doing. All Anna's workouts have wonderful music but FP is just OUTSTANDING.
My knees have suddenly started really hurting and the BSS Firms with the squats, tall box presses, lunges, etc were very uncomfortable but FP felt SOOOO good and today,my knees are not bothering me at all:D .
Tamela's form pointers are perfect and I love her demeanor.
This is a superb feel good workout.

Thank you Anna and Tamela, thank you for Flex Posture.
I have to say again that I am NOT a fan of yoga, but this workout really de-stresses me.

Which Flex Posture workout do you all prefer- Anna's or Tamela's? I have Tamela's but I noticed that Anna's is a little shorter and for me, sometimes that 10 min makes a difference in whether or not I get a workout in on a particular day. Patty

I received it yesterday along with G Force 2 (one I'd somehow missed), and the original Floor Burn and Steamin' Cardio. My son was delighted when I took the rebounder out of the closet. But I think I may end up doing Flex first since I've been ill with a nasty cold all week long.

I did the Anna Flex Posture workout today and LOVED it. I agree-it is different. It is more like actually being at my live weekly Yoga class. I will probably rotate both DVDs a couple of times a week. Right now I need Tamela's for a light workout since I've been battling a cold for the past 2 weeks and still want to keep up my workouts. Thanks everyone for the great advice!!
