I was wondering if any of you have tried the "Fat Flush" program? I am considering getting the book both for it's weight loss and health benefit claims. I'm not looking for a fad diet, but good practices to incorporate into my life.

I have never done the diet, itself....but I did read the book and I do some of the things in it that she suggests....cranwater, hot lemon water, flaxoil/lemon dressing.....I think it is a great approach to eating healthfully. Sallie.... over at the fifties thread does it....I'll alert her about this thread!

Hi Tricia:

I am 58 years old and have tried the Fat Flush Plan. I was very successful using this plan and I will say the first 2 weeks are the hardest (Bootcamp). I did follow the diet exactly and only ate what was allowed and used the Primrose Oil Capsules. I did lose approximately 8 pounds during the first two weeks, but I found that I was preparing alot of meals and washing alot of dishes. Seemed like I was in the kitchen alot. I still use Stevia in my cranwater and the hot water with lemon. After the first 2 weeks you then get to incorporate more carbs in your diet. I did notice during the first 2 weeks my energy and stamina had decreased, so I did alot of rebounding and light intensity workouts. This was the only diet that never gave me any headaches, due to lower calories, and a easy one for me to follow. I hope I have been of help to you and please feel free to ask any other questions that you might need answered. Hopefully a few more ladies will chime in on this thread who have also tried the Fat Flush Plan, so you can hear their thoughts on this diet.
Sallie

Hi there. I have the book and tried the diet and it was great. I lost 6 pounds in the 2 weeks. I'm 46 years old. I still do flax seed in the morning before I eat. I mix mine with water and lime now. And the cup of hot water with lemon is still being consumed most mornings. All in all a great plan. I did backslide however and started to have dairy occasionally. It seems to me anything white is bad for the waistline.

I've got the book and really enjoyed reading it. It was a great education on the liver! I had no idea how much it is responsible for! I tried to follow it, but it didn't last very long. The one thing I did incorporate was flax seed and the cranwater (not doing much cranwater right now though). Oh, I also gave up my coffee for Teccino (herbal coffee). Did that for a few months, then started drinking decaf coffee, now back to regular coffee. I don't drink a whole lot, I just LOVE the taste!

After reading this thread, I went out and bought the book. I really want to try this program, but I'm a vegan and I'm not sure if the type of modifications I'll come up with are going to give me the results some of the other ladies experienced. I'm 36 and not overweight (run/FitPrime regularly -- possibly obsessively ;)) but I do have some pretty unattractive cellulite on my thighs. Has anyone adopted some of the practices (cran-water/ lowering carb intake/ etc.) to good effect on cellulite?

Fat Flush was recommended to me by Tracie Long as I was desperate for a diet that worked! I lost 6 lbs. the first 2 weeks and then had a 15 lb. weight loss. The first 2 weeks are the hardest when you are detoxing from sugar and carbs but then the cravings go away! Although I'm not following the plan to the letter, I still drink the cranwater, take the supplements, eat sprouted bread, try to eat organic and use some of the spices and occasionally drink Teecino. The hardest part for me was giving up salt. However, lately I have been eating a lot of salty stuff and feel bloated. I'm going to cut down on salt again! You also get a lot of support at fatflush.com;)

I have done Fat Flush on and off for 2 years. In January, I did the 2 wk phase 1 and lost 14 lbs. After that, I did not follow it strictly, but kept exercising and maintained the weight loss. I just started phase 1 again yesterday, hoping to get off another 10lbs this time around. It is a hard diet for me to do long-term, so I just do Phase 1 for 2wks once every couple of months. But I have seen the best results with Fat Flush, more so than any other diet I tried.

The author is coming out with a new book in April called the Fast Track 1 day detox diet, which sounds good also. You can read the synopsis on Amazon.

Good luck with FF!

Hi, I'm at day 3 of phase 1 and lost 3 lbs so far. It's hard to keep up with the cranberry water and flaxseed oil. But I figure, I'll just get better at it. :)
