From watching the preview clips on the videos, I've been thrilled to see that I already own almost all the equipment needed from the years I've spent doing FIRM videos.

But I've never seen the little purple rectangles before. I'm assuming those are for stability or something. Where do you get one...and if you can't find one, what is a good, functional substitute?

Aspen, You mentioned on another thread that you are having back problems. I do, too. These yoga blocks are WONDERFUL aids for stretching. I have two. One for each hand.

Hi again!
The purple block is a yoga block. The block helps to stabilize and activate groups of muscles in intrinsic contraction and while other muscles move or "travel". Also very helpful in certain positions; especially if you have tight hamstrings etc.

Morning Everyone!

I found another great way to use yoga blocks this morning. They can be used under your shoulders when you're on your back doing upper body work, instead of using the wooden plank (i.e. Vol. I, II). They're not as stable as the plank, but they certainly give elevation
