Lori, I just wouldn't pay any attention to it. Everybody's life is there life. Most of my relatives think I need to be married with kids. And if I were I wouldn't be able to do the things that I want to do. Also people often put down that which they don't know anything about or are intimidated by.
My back still aches but the spasms seems to have gone away. While having the spasms, I was wondering if that's what it felt like to be **** with a stungun. My whole body would tense up and then shake. I can't sit for too long because when I do my back stiffens up. Walking and lying down seems to be okay.
Sorry the game was boring but congrats on the Win.:D and the weight loss.
I had class today but left an hour early. My back kept stiffening and there is only so many times I can roam the hallways trying to walk it out.
Okay. Talk to you later. Oh I got a new keyboard. Paid $15.00 which is expensive but couldn't find any for $8.96 which is what I paid for the last keyboard.

Saundra, $15 is still an amazing deal! your getting cheap now after that $9 deal last time!
oh, the kids issue. my family finally gave up on us (mainly me) (which always has been a sore spot with me) (like it's only me & my fault only, that I/we don't/didn't want kids)(as if I'm the only one who decided this choice?).
your right. I think people need to mind their business more. & stop making assumptions?
I forgot you had class. do you drive there? does it hurt when your driving? too bad you couldn't get a nice massage.
do you have a stability ball? when DH buggers up his back from hockey (alot) if he rolls forwards & back on his stomach every couple of hours he claims it helps? try that maybe?
if the spasms are gone, that's a good sign.
speaking of stun gun. I had a needle biopsy on my breast. now THAT reminded me of the stun gun! I thought I was going to fly off the hospital bed.
which you just reminded me of my mammogram results, I haven't heard back yet. hopefully next week? I hate the waiting.
I had a lump in my breast a few years back & I have to go annually now.
scarey stuff.
I had an ultra sound & they still weren't sure what exactly it was.
then I had the needle biopsy done.
it was some kind of cyst full of dried blood? the specialist was rather perplexed by it. but, did say that it wasn't cancerous fluid? never really got a full explanation. & at that time, my family doctor had quit.
like I said, I hate the waiting for the results.
I've had 3 good mammograms since then. hoping this will be too. hoping I won't have to go so often? better safe than sorry, though I know.
plays on my mind. & of course now my chest feels tender. don't feel anything though (lump wise).
anyways, your stun gun comment reminded me so much of the needle biopsy in the breast. I felt like Frankenstein's bride. or when you see them use those defibrillators. talk about jolt to the body.
Saundra, now the trick is to stay at this weight. I don't think I'm going to even allow the 3lbs anymore. maybe stick to 1 or 2. 3 is getting harder & harder to lose than it used to. dang.
I'm making your tuna sandwiches again tomorrow. had those on my mind all week too.
I just thought of something funny DH said the other nite. made me laugh. he's was complaining about having to take the dog out again. I was barking at him, it was "his" turn. I told him it could be worse, he could be the octudad.
he said he would have trouble raising a chia-pet. LOL, I thought it was funny.
ya, I should make my grocery list for tomorrow too. & tidy this joint up some. I'll check back later. watch taking those Advils, Saundra. they can be hard on your kidneys.
oh ya, Saundra, I was going to add. first everyone bugs you to get married. like you have to be married. then they hound you to have kids. & then after so much time, they start feeling "sorry" for you. I hate that. they assume "we" can't have kids. not that we "don't" want to.
& I don't like it either when people assume then, that I don't "like" kids. which is not true either.
or that we're "selfish". it's far from the truth. I think it's selfish when some people have kids for all the wrong reasons.
& I'll be the first one to say, being married is not all that it's cracked up to be.
as much as I love DH & I'm sure he feels the same way, it's hard work.
besides I hate how society always puts a pressure on people on how they think "they should be".
just because you don't fall into their patterns of what they think is "normal" they have a way of making you feel weird?
ok, I'm getting off the soap box now.:p

Well,Lori you probably know how I feel about waiting. I hate it. I am so impatient. But I am sure things will be fine. And you just reminded me that I need to make an appointment for my physical.
;) :( http://fitnessfavorites.com/board/images/smilies/***grin.gif - Seeing if I get X or the actual smilies. I don't think the smilies are working on the site.
My back feels about 85 to 90% better. I didn't go to WW yesterday but did go today. Gained 2lbs. but that is my fault. I went overboard on the comfort foods. I need to regroup and now is a good time to do it because we are in a new month. Which reminds me. I need to start the New Firm thread for the month of March.
Still resting. But I am ready to get my b.utt back in gear but I know I need to ease back into my normal routine.
I forgot to say I took my measuresments and compared to the beginning of Feb, I lost 2 inches. Go figure.
Saundra
Lori
March 1st, 2009, 05:47 AM
well then Saundra, that's good. 2 inches is alot. you gotta love that!?
maybe you just needed rest?
this morning someone at VForum was really happy with her results from STS. she lost inches too. I think she said she lost 3lbs. I'll look & see how long she said she's been doing it. (she's probably yakking with you anyhow at Cathe's forum)LOL
your right, it's a new month & you just have to get back on track.
slip-ups happen. & the comfort foods are needed. it was only a 2lb gain. you'll be fine. really.
I'm glad your back's better. did you get called in to work?
betting it will feel even better tomorrow. another day of rest should help tremendously. (just in time for back to the grind)
I truly believe when we/us/women in general get that real cranky, b.itchy feeling...you know when everything annoys the hell out of you? your just plain irrated at everyone & everything, it's when you eat stuff you shouldn't. it's got to be a hormone thing? or your body telling you, I need some real bad food! just alittle!
anyway, get back on the horse, but, your right, go it slowly & smoothly. you don't want to get all gung-ho again & mess your back more.

Well, Lovely. It had snow this morning and now it is suppose to snow again. I didn't realized it had snow until I got up to go weigh-in. Luckily it was the soft stuff and I didn't stick. But now we are suppose to get snow overnight. Which means tomorrow's commute is going to be a bear.
Lori, I didn't call into work because it actually feels better when I moved around. A co-worker of mine kept the Duty Blackberry for me this weekend - which I appreciated enourmously. I will have to remember that I owe him.
I haven't done much of anything today. Talk to my mom a bit and Watch a couple episodes of Suze Orman. Now I am watching the next two Mesocycles of STS to see if I want to continue or try something else. I think I want to loose 15lbs and then go back to STS.
Anyway, hoping you all are having a great weekend.
It's March already.
Saundra
Lori
March 1st, 2009, 09:28 AM
I know (March already)! hooray! we change our clocks this weekend to Daylight Savings already! too bad it snowed. hopefully this will be the end of your winter!?
you'll have to leave a few minutes earlier tomorrow.
glad you didn't go to work. your body needs a break Saundra, it's good you didn't do a whole lot today.
I know how your feeling about the 15lbs. you just want it gone, huh? like yesterday, not today or tomorrow.
I've decided myself too, now to be extra careful with the maintaining. It's so easy too gain & too hard to lose now. I don't mind 1 or 2lbs. (can be just water or that time of the month).
I tried to find that STS thread at VF, but of course now, I can't find it. (there are way too many STS threads going).
I think it's a good idea personally, to lose the 15lbs first, then go into the STS again. you'll feel better about yourself?
funny, because even before you started the STS, you were doubting yourself or questioning when you really wanted to commit to it. just wasn't the right time maybe?
my personal opinion is the scale don't lie. this will freak a lot of people out & they'll say it's muscle & all that. but, you have the bodyfat % on your scale too, right? (which I know isn't totally accurate, but, it is a good guideline).
I just know what worked for me. I leaned out alot from running & yoga. & I have not lost any strength whatsoever. & my bodyfat % is about the same when I was bodybuilding.
anyways, you'll make the right decision. & just keep tweaking it, as you go along Saundra.
DH has a blackberry. I don't know how you all can use them? too confusing. & I need my glasses which I hate wearing. LOL
finishing up laundry & getting ready for supper & the hockey game on tv. I really enjoyed our conversations this weekend Saundra. wonder what the heck Diane & Annette were up to?
talk to you tomorrow. hope the weatherman is wrong for your snow forecast tomorrow morning:cool:

Hi y'all, I took the kids to CCD in Chapin, which is about 10 miles from here. It is snowing steady there. 1/2 way back mixed and time I got home just rain. I think we are too evil in the Dutch Fork area :D....
They have already called and cancelled schools for tomorrow. There is no rest for weary is there?!
Saundra hope you feel better soon! Do you have Doan's pills, they work wonders for back pain. 2lbs is still not bad considering your workout schedule. Now me on the other hand weighed in this morning, and gained 8lbs. It is all in my stomach. Bloat, etc. Does this evvvvver end. I think it is time for cleanse, been feelin' really tired and my hands are dry. I have been eating ice lately which means my iron is low as well.
Diane, all I can say is MEN! I planted most of the shrubs in the front and back yards. I would love to cut down some of the trees and landscape as well as have a nice water feature and fire pit where the old stand up pool was. Right now it is a *** circle with weeds. Plus can't do too much landscaping with the boys around.
Lori, that is funny about the cobras. There is something sweet about Rainbeau Mars. I just couldn't get into Shiva Rhea though. It was a little too free flowing for me. I am tryin' to add yoga for Lent, but haven't been that well into practice.
Some people just don't understand about the web. I have met some really cool people via the web. And I love it when the people on the web come to ColaTown. That is exciting. Matter of fact, another person on the Yaya and VF Forum knows a friend of mine from school. They are both in CA. The web shrinks our global world doesn't it!
I cracked the whip after my kids on Saturday, it was a major diseaster area, that was for sure!! Dave got a new faucet for the bathroom. And fixed the tile in the kitchen. They went out yesteray, *** mamma stayed at home. Didn't venture out Saturday. I still need to go through and get rid of stuff and organize.
Sunday I went to 8:00 Mass today, and went by Food Lion, had a great meat sale, picked up a few packages for dinner. Pam,Christi and I had drinks on Friday, Pam makes a wonderful peanut sauce. I used the sauce in my pork, with green peppers/onions w/sesame seed and pepper. Worked out, did (3) 5 More Day Abs, Max Sculpt with Tracie and Tough Aerobic Mix. Ate dinner and crashed!
I think sometimes people are just traditional with a small "T" and what we are supposed to do. When I last looked in a reference book or a Bible, that says women have to get married and have kids. Dave and I have been together with 2 kids. Neither one of us wanted to get married, even though he did propose. He is content that way. I am more content when I can get a killer workout! :D Everyone has their own path. And personally I am glad you are happy where you are in life. A lot of people are not, thus want to project their unhappiness unto others.
Okay finished sermon today! :D
Oh yes Diane, if have another "declutter/clean sweep" please don't hesitate to zip by my house on your sculpting stick :D LOL
Y'all have a great day!

Hi ladies:
Saundra I did one those where you type out a whole post and push whatever b.utton and the post is gone how annoying. I have no idea which one it is that I am pushing.
Lori do use glasses for reading? or do you need them all of the time. I have yet to need them for reading I am sure my time will come.
Annette I am almost done with the de-cluttering.
I am getting into that Facebook site it's kind of cool meeting up with people that you haven't talked to in a long time.
We are supposed to get a lot of snow also not looking foward to it I was hoping it was done.
Well I started the second week of STS and I have to tell you I was not fond of the push-ups in disc #4 it was like enough already and I found the bicep curls with the band a killer I just barely finished the reps.

it's not been a very good morning for me. we got a phone call very early this morning that my MIL & FIL were in a car accident last night.
my FIL is on a ventillator & is not expected to make it. my MIL has a broken vertabrae & bleeding on the front of her brain. & she is in critical condition.
they went to a casino last night & on the way home, hit a cow.
DH left with one of his brother's to the hospital. my inlaws live about 5 hours away from here.

Have you heard from your husband yet?
Diane
Lori
March 2nd, 2009, 08:25 AM
no, I haven't talked to DH. I talked to his little brother (he was the 1st one at the hospital, just before I left for the dentist), I feel sorry for DH & his brothers & sisters. both parents at the same time.
my BIL said my FIL had all kinds of surgery on his face. & he looks a mess. & said my MIL has a b.ig chunk off the top of her head?
didn't sound all that good.
his brother said they hit 2 cows. & my MIL had $5000 in her purse. she obviously won some $ at the casino.
I'll post when I hear from them again. DH's b.ig sister lives in Saskatchewan which is 2 Provinces away. she won't get there till 6:00 pm.
my BIL said the roads were bad (snow) so, I'm wondering how much trouble DH had?
I just kept thinking driving to the dentist, how you really do take every day for granted.
as for FB, my 2 neices are banned from it.
my SIL said they are addicted to it. they are only 15 & 17.
she has a bet going with them. if they can stay off it totally for 10 days.
not sure how that's working. it was only 3 hours & one of them was complaining already.
I know 2 friends of mine, that spend hours & hours on it.
LOL, I think it's a place I should avoid. I'm bad enough visiting here.;)
& I just wear glasses for reading. but, my eyes are getting weaker & weaker.
I should have them checked really.

March 2nd, 2009, 09:54 AM
I have only been on FB once. And I went there to check out someone profile But the FIRM is now on it and Cathe has posted that she is on it.
I had a co-worker who spent hours upon hours on it.
For myself I have enough to keep me occupied without adding something else.
We got a lot of snow here today. I don't know how it is out there right now. I haven't been outside since I came to work.
My boss called me to aske me if I could come in early because everyone else had called off. I told him I could come in on time but possibly I was going to be late. My normal start time now is 12:15pm.
Personally I felt it was just a copped out. With the exception of one person I live farther out than anyone else. And my boss was like he had a foot of snow outside his house. And guess what? So did I.
And Lori, Your right. I know I am bless when the most trying thing I have to complain about is the weather.

oh, I feel the same way. I just have an addictive personality anyways. I'm afraid I'd be someone stuck on it for hours & hours. I have visions of my b.utt stuck on the chair in front of the computer, getting b.igger & b.igger. LOL
Saundra, people take advantage of people like you. I'm was the same way at work. I always seems to be the sucker stuck at work, who lived the farthest. I always wonder how I made it to work? or I would be sicker than a dog, working.
it's just our personality-type.
you be careful driving. dang that SNOW! why can't it stay on the darn mountains!?
how is your back today?
& I hope I didn't mean to make you all feel crummy. I just meant, I got to pondering about life. all of a sudden, something like this happens. you know how you never think it happens to you? always seems to happen to someone else.
anyhow, all your prayers have helped.
my MIL is talking & moving.
my FIL is totally out of it & the doctors can't do any more surgery on his face until some more swelling goes down. but, they so far say there is no brain damage.
the doctors say both vital signs are on the up. so things are looking better.
the doctors said, they will be in the hospital for a long time.
DH's phone call was alot promising than the grave feelings earlier this morning.
scarey. remember to enjoy your lives daily. every minute of it & try not to get too wrapped up in the little petty things.;)
it's just human nature to be wrapped up in the day to day c.rap & forget the b.ig picture.

Hi y'all,
Lori I am so sorry to hear about your inlaws but glad they are doing better. You are right about **** and the *** picture.
Saundra we had no snow here but Chapin had it, which is about 10 miles from here. Upstate still has snow, etc. Sunny but cold here. Dry as a bell.
Diane, glad you are doing well in spite of the STS pushups.
Did y'all read Stephanie's website and pushups interesting info.
Didn't workout tonight, just laid in the bed when I got home, Dave cooked dinner, pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns with cantaleope. Didn't need of it except the cantelope.

Lori, you didn't make me feel crummy. I often stop and say how thankful I am for my life and the things that I have and even don't have. Or at least I try too. Glad to hear the in-laws are doing better.
The back is much better. I didn't workout today or yesterday. I did shovel snow yesterday though. The stiffness and the little aches appear to be gone except for when I am sitting.
Diane, did you have to shovel snow.

Yes I did have to shovel snow twice, I did do all of the driveway because we were sleigh riding down it.
Did you quit STS I am stll doing it, I was actually going to buy the weighted gloves but my rebounder gloves worked great.
Did you get much snow? We did get as much as they said but then it was so windy we might have.
Did you get in on the Cathe road trip I saw it sold out fast how far are you away
from where the road trip is?
Lori how are things today? And how are you doing with everything? I have to ask do you think they had on their seat belts?
Annette don't get me started I am not one to have fruit in the food, I don't care how it tastes it just turns me off.

Hello girls!
Saundra, good to hear your back to normal. (pun intended)
raining here. warm. supposed to clear up this afternoon & stay sunny for the rest of the week.
Saundra, you always have a such a great attitude (grateful) (wish I was more like that). I really admire that.
Saundra & Diane, when you go to WW for your weigh-ins, do they also test your bodyfat%?
Diane, I haven't heard how the inlaws are doing today. DH & his brothers & sisters were just heading to the hospital again this morning.
DH said he would be home today around 4:00pm.
yes, they would have been wearing their seatbelts.
it's been mandatory here for decades.
don't nobody here who doesn't wear seatbelts. so automatic.
Annette, are you planning to get Stephanie's dvds?
crm549
March 3rd, 2009, 07:09 AM
Lori, no they don't do bodyfat%.
Diane, I am still deciding if I want to continue with STS or not. It is about a 2 1/2 drive to Cathe gym.
It takes me about 7 1/2 to 8 hours to get down to the FIRM gym. And it takes me about that long to fly into Columbia South Carolina because there are no direct flights from BWI to South Carolina. That's why I usually drive and it saves me the hassle of renting a car.
Lori I try to be grateful but it doesn't stop me from wanting more. But I can say to myself if I don't get it (whatever it is I want) I still have enough.

whenever I watch the news or when I go out to the stores or like the last hockey game.....& I see homeless people begging or just trying to survive, it hits me.
same as when I see the soldiers.

now, I wonder why they wouldn't do the bodyfat%?
Saundra, do you ever buy off ebay?
crm549

Mostly I buy from Amazon, HSN and QVC.

Lori
March 3rd, 2009, 08:50 AM
I used to buy quite abit from ebay. just dvds & American Eskimo dog stuff. like magnets & calendars, note pads. & a ton of makeup.
I rarely buy from there now. the sellers are so slow compared to amazon.
I bought alot of Firm off ebay at one time. the rarer titles.
I have sold some dvds on there at one time too. that started to become a hassle or somewhat stressful. eventually I stopped that too.
signing off for the day, have a nice evening girls. talk to you all tomorrow.

Hi y'all,
Lori, glad your inlaws are doing better.
Saundra, glad your back is doing better as well.
Diane, know you how "fruity" I am.
My first purchase from eBay was my Volvo wagon, I had to go to ATL which is about 4 hours away to pick up. We went to the Monastary while we were there. I don't like the new Paypal policy, so I try and do local pickups. I met 2 of my online friends from eBay as well as local people. One of the women I met, her parents owned the shoe/cobbler shop which has been sold.
I did manage to workout: 2 of M5DA, Upper Body Split, rested, V5,CC1. I am so done.
We do have a small farm not too far from my house. And they have cows. What we have to watch for is deer. We had them all the time in our yard but this area has been developed. Lots of wild life, including the boys :D
Y'all have a great night,almost Wednesday!
Diane I
March 3rd, 2009, 10:35 AM
Annette:
We hit a deer once I was so upset. After we hit the deer 2 other people hit it, it was a mess.
Lori I also bought stuff from e-bay it was mostly those quick buys I had not patience for that bidding stuff.
i actually have one of those body fat scales so it's not *** deal to me that WW doesn't do it.
Saundra what I am not liking with STS is moving the equipment all of the time I really don't have that much area to workout in. So I feel like everything is in the way.
So far this week STS discs 4 and 5, the treadmill, yoga, pilates abs, and partner ab work from ab circuits I got my niece to partner with me it was fun.
Diane
Lori
March 4th, 2009, 12:40 AM
Annette, what is the new paypal policy?
crm549
March 4th, 2009, 03:23 AM
Diane,I agree. It does require a lot of equipment. I ended up buying a workout bench because it was too time consumig to convert the step bench into an incline bench and back to a flat bench in the same workout. By the end of each workout, my floor space is covered with equipment.
Annette, I too would like to know what the new Paypal policy is. If I go to a site that I don't normally shop at, I tend to use paypal to pay for my purchase.
Lori, I do have to say that Amazon sellers are pretty quick. Normally I just order directly from Amazon, and not the sellers, But last month I decided to try the sellers because there prices were super cheap and they didn't disappoint on the shipping front. My only complaint was one seller didn't send an email to let me know my item had been shipped. I was on the verge of emailing them when it arrived in the mail.
I am truly taking advantage of my recovery week, because I didn't get up to workout today.

March 4th, 2009, 09:31 AM
Lori that is absolutely excellent. I am glad that everything turned out well. The hardest part of anything is waiting. For me it is anyway. Is DH back home now?
I am having only a semi-productive day at work today. I am ready to go home. Got slightly less than 2 hours to go but it won't be until 10 until I get home because of the commute. If I drove down, I would get home much faster of course, but I don't always like driving and I try to use the time on the train to study for class.
I have enjoyed the rest, but now it time to get my b.utt back in gear. I starting to feel guilty. I want to start back doing my 3 miles outside once a week. But it is still quite cold, so I don't know about that yet.
Tonight is the Season Premiere of America's Next Top Model. I like watching the show. This is the 12 cycle and I am surprise that it is still on. I don't know if it is as good when it first came out but I still like. But I am glad that I have DVR. There is so much muck that I normally have to Fast forward through. I also DVR American Idol and I am constantly fast forwarding through Ryan and most of the judges commments.

Well Saundra I am getting a little frustrated with this STS I gained again at my weigh in today another .8 so I have gained almost 4 pounds while doing STS. I actually felt good this week and was suprised when she said I gained again.
Between the STS and other workouts last week I workout for 6 and 1/2 hours
and my eating I thought was pretty good this week.
Lori I also had no trouble with the Amazon sellers for me some of them charge way to much for shipping their price for an item will be lower than others but the shipping charge is just crazy.
Glad your mammogram went well.

Hi y'all,
Ebay's new policy is Paypal or credit cards. Of course lately I haven't seen too much on eBay that I have wanted besides Laine's Tshirts, which I just pme'd her about.
Lori glad mammogram went well. I still haven't started my baseline yet.
Diane, sorry about the weight gain, but it is muscle and water retention. I finally had to do a cleanse this week, I felt sooo much better. I just don't understand why I can't burn off water retention with cardio after weighted workouts. That might be a top 10 question I'll ask God when I get to heaven!
Saundra, the news was talking about people who fast forward through commerials. Dave mutes them.
I did V3 today with Sandhal, and for some reason her leg presses left me winded. The entire workout did actually. I added Allison Abs from Core Solutions. Tomorrwo is Standing Legs which gets me every time. Jayne with her hover squats....I just don't think she likes me :D LOL!
It is supposed to be in the 70's, 80's here by this weekend. We go from snow on Sunday to summer/spring like weather by the weekend, no wonder the kids are sick, they don't know what to wear!
Y'all have a great night!

I love Top Model too. last year was so good. I think it was one of my favorites. the spin off of Canada's Next Top Model is awesome too. Jay Manuel is the host & I just love him. It's created by Tyra too. she's so cool.
I was really starting to worry (taking alittle longer than normal) for the mail (mam/results).
scared I was gonna get another bad news letter.
relief. something to forget about, at least for another year.
Saundra, you should use your treadmill. then when it's decent outside, go outdoors. take advantage of your treadmill. it will make it easier for you to transition outdoors again too.
I bet your chomping at the bit to get back to your workout routine. I can "ease" off for only so long also. then I start to feel like a slacker. LOL
yes, DH can home yesterday around 6:00pm. his mom is going to be alright.
she has 37 stitches on the top of her head. broken vertabrae around her neck. she will be fine with physio. broken hand & ribs.
my FIL not so good. he still is unable to breathe on his own. hooked up on the ventillator & tubes. still in intensive care.
they want to do reconstructive surgery but are unable to, because he cannot breathe on his own. they aren't able to see what kind of damage is really done, yet.
the swelling has gone down some, DH said since he first arrived. apparently DH said my FIL's head was massive. & he's unrecognizable.
they told him, he's still not out of the woods.
he's heavily sedated & seems to be at least stable.
DH's sisters are staying with them. all the brothers had to come home to work.
my FIL got the worst of it, apparently because of the steering wheel?
their car doesn't have airbags. which would have helped.
DH took pictures of the car & it's unreal. it's amazing they survived.
the cattle, one was hit & landed on the roof. flipped up on the hood & then the roof. this is how my MIL hurt the top of her head & neck.
the front of the car is smashed in. & the roof is totally collapsed.
her ribs were broken from the seatbelt.
weatherwise, it's really sunny & nice here too.
Diane, I so hate that! when you think you've starved yourself & worked out hard & get crummy results. frustrating. just keep plugging along. eventually you get it right.
I'm just so disappointed that I can't eat like I used to. LOL
oh Annette, I thought you meant paypal changed.
did any of you watch the season premiere of The Apprentice?

Diane, I know this is going to sound petty but I am glad that it is just not me. But I am sorry to hear of your weight gain. I am sure eventually the weight will come off but I am impatient. I was talking to a guy a work and he is experiencing something similiar although he isn't doing STS but he is lifting heavy weights.
I got callled into work. I was on the train when I got the call. I told them it would be awhile before I got back in because the train hadn't left you but I wasn't about to get off of it. So I had to go pick up my car and then come all the way back to work to fix a problem that took 5 minutes. But I am not complaining. I like it when their easy.
Lori I like Jay Manual too. I was hoping to see Canada's next top model but they don't show it here so I think I have to go online and find it. I don't watch the Apprentice. I think I watch the first season with Omarosa but haven't seen it since.
Annette, they were definately talking about me then because rarely will I watch a commercial. Love love my DVR.
Okay. I think I am going to stay for another hour or so to see if I can get this software install and the head home.

Hello ladies. I am going in late today because I worked well into the wee hours of this morning.
I did get up and workout today. I did The FIRM's Cardio Overdrive with Allison, but I chaptered pass the weight segments.
Lori thank you for the compliment. I actually watch ANTM when I got home this morning. In someways this show is starting to irritate. It seems like they find girls with the same issues year after year. And I am getting tired of all the unneccesary drama. I just like watching the photo shoots, and the runways and the challenges.
Anyway - off to work.

Hi y'all, just a brief hello, have to feed my starvin' family.....before they are famished and dry up.
I did Upper Body, Standing Legs, and Lean today. I think I have done enough.
I finally did a cleanse to get rid of all my bloat and water, it was driving me nuts. Which seems to help, not as tired and sluggish.
Haven't watched Top Model, etc., lately I have been in the bed. Plus DAve likes to watch Faux News and Bill O'Wrong, which reallllly drives me nuts. I am doing well to see House Hunters at night.
Andrew watches the other TV-basketball. Katie is watchin' some teeny bopper show.
If I am at home I'll watch the reruns of Desperate Housewives and The Real Housewives that is about it, besides FitTv.
TGIF!!

Lori:
I am glad you MIL is doing better.
If you see I am missing it is just because my niece and nephew are staying over again, my sister is on another cruse.
Saundra I did like STS disc 6 legs, but this week I couldn't do the stability ball leg lifts and last week I had no problem. I do like the leg work with out the barbell it's a nice change not have that barbell on your shoulders. What workouts did you have planned for your recovery week?
I think I will try to stick with STS I feel like lately I start things and not follow it through.
Annette we are supposed to have 65 degrees by Sunday maybe it will get rid of the rest of this snow. I don't share my TV with my husband I can't take all that channel changing he starts watching something then changes it 5 minutes later it drives me nuts.
This week I won't get the TV at all with my niece staying over.

Annette, I used to like Bill O'Rielly and I still do a little bit, but I think his house is made of glass and he continues to throw stones at other people like he is so perfect.
Lori, I am for one glad Friday is here so I can get rid of the duty blackberry. Can't stand that thing.

saundraLMAO, I bet.
as much as I love heavy weights, they are just not for me. maybe my bodytype?
gaining weight is not what I'm wanting. not at this stage in my life.
as for it being muscle or water retention. my scale tells me weight gain is weight gain. & it does tell me bodyfat %.
& I'm a believer in body building does make you eat differently. just my opinion:D
it is so sunny & gorgeous here today. nicer than yesterday. just about ready to take the dog for a walk.
I used to watch Bill too. I haven't watched him in ages. I seem to go through cycles or stages of watching different shows. get hooked on something or someone for awhile.
which Amy did you do, Saundra?
Diane I
March 6th, 2009, 10:43 AM
Saundra and Lori:
even though the scale has been showing a gain for the past two weeks I put on a jacket I haven't worn since the Fall and it actually had room in it. Last time I wore it, it was snug so something moving just not the scale.
Lori my sister has gone on so many cruises I lose track of where she is when, they is one thing I probably never do is go on a cruise I get motion sickness.
Lori I know lifting weights keeps me from looking as heavy as I weigh.
Lori was is LMAO?

Diane, LMAO is "Laughing My A$$ Off".
great job on the inches lost, Diane!
I'm the opposite with heavy weights. especially my glutes & thighs. my jeans get very tight.
same as my upper back & biceps, now that I think of it.
I can "build, bulk" whatever you want to call it, very easily.
hey, my logic is every "body" is different & you have to do what works for you.
I don't believe in this "one size fits all" business.;)
the heavy weight lifting after so many years, I lost so much flexibility.
another thing I noticed & which was oh so very humbling for me, was: I thought I was in really good shape. until I tried to run straight for a mile & a half. felt impossible.
realization kicked in & I knew I needed change of some sort.
the step dvds weren't cutting it anymore.
my flowers are looking lovely. very pretty. I'll take some pictures soon?
a few years back my dad & I got stuck out at sea on his boat. it was so scarey. we just kept saying, we were glad both my mom & brother weren't on board because they are petrified of the ocean at the best of times. & it would be alot worse with them on board.
what are all your plans this weekend? have a good one girlie-girls.

Hi Ladies:
Nice here too. We actually spent the day with my friend and her daughter.
We went to Bear Mountain park and walked around the lake and went to the zoo there. And I decided I want to walk across the bridge, the bridge crosses over the Hudson River. Well you won't believe what I did as we were walking back over the bridge, we were running a bit towards the end but I had to pee, so I stopped running and when I stopped my cell phone fell out of my pocket yup right off the bridge. I had to ask the bridge people to get my phone, the guy was looking at my like I was nuts or trying to get into their building or something, I don't think he believed me. But he did go get it and he was just fine after that. Of course I had to tell my husband that I broke my phone dropping in off the bridge the display doesn't come on and I can't get to any of my phone numbers. And I had to tell my sister she couldn't get a hold of me I used her son's phone and of course what do you mean you dropped it off a bridge.
We did have a nice day, it was a nice change to get out and do something different.
Lori is that a picture of your hubby?

Hi ladies
I forgot to Spring Forward:( . As a result I missed my WW weigh-in. Actually I could have made it but decided I rather go run.
So the last time I ran outside was back in October I think or maybe November. I thought I was going to be starting from scratch. I think you all know I have this 3 mile route mapped out and guess what I ran 2.5 miles of that 3 miles and I wasn't really even struggling. Although I will admit, I wasn't runnig very fast either. I clocked in at 40:55 for the whole 3 miles. So I need to work on getting that back down to 31 to 32 minutes.
So I weighed in at home which I do every Sunday regardless of whether I go to WW. Sometimes I wonder why I signed up again because it doesn't make me any more accountable to myself than I already am. Or should I say the WW accountability is superficial if that makes since. Any way on my scale at home - and I usually weigh .6 to .8 more on my scale at home than the scales at the WW center I was down 2.4lbs. So I was very surprise considering that I only worked out 2 days last week and I wasn't exactly keeping track of my WW points.
I think I am going to go and purchase my sofa today. If I leave the house, that is. Usually I am zapped after a run so I need to stay far away from my bed.

Hi y'all, we have had beautiful weather here. I sat outside Saturday and read after I went garage "saleing", didn't find anything that I just had to have. But found a beautiful crystal dish for 25 cents. And picked up 2 vases for my church memeber. 8:00 was hard for yesterday. I slept after Mass and after dinner.
I took a rest day on Saturday, Friday I did Tough Cardio and Abs, Sunday I did Abs and Boomers. I think I do have a case of spring fever....that is for sure. Sunroof will be open wishing it was a convertiable. :D
DAve painted the railings and porch as well as washed my car. Dirt, bird droppings, mud jumps on my car. I have no idea how it happens.
This is my 10th week of 90 Day, if I can get over the bloat and water, I might have something to show....:D
Diane, hope your sister is havin' fun on the cruise. Saundra understand about the time change, it is hard to get motivated. Lori, I want to re-do the back yard but that costs money. But I do have plans....
I'll check in w/y'all later! Have a great day!

well Saundra, did you go look for a sofa?
Diane, when does your sister get back?
boy oh boy, did the weekend ever go by fast or what? it's Monday already!?
crm549
March 9th, 2009, 03:03 AM
Lori, the weekend did fly by. I didn't make it to buy the sofa. I was tired yesterday and laid down. When I got up it was after 6 which is what time the store closes. I already know what sofa I want. I just needto go purcahse it.
Annette, springing forward is not my favorite occurence. I have a harder time adjusting to spring forward than falling back.
I did a two hour workout today. I need to figure away to get it around 90 min. I have combined the STS workouts - doing select exericse for a total body workout. The individual workouts are 65, 48 and 54 minutes for this week. I figure I could do about 30 minutes of each workout for a total body workout. I usually have more time on Monday's to workout longer so that is what I am trying. We will see how long it last.
HI Diane.

Actually the workout wasn't that bad. With STS Mesocycle 2. You hav to take a lot of rest in between sets to let the muscles recover. That was were most of the time went to. So we would do a set and the take a minute rest. There is a clock on the screen that counts down.

I know alot of people don't like the countdown screens, but, I like them.
I like it especially on intervalling on the treadmill.
I feel so sleepy today. wonder if it's that turning the clocks ahead?
are you going to get your sofa, maybe this weekend?
my neices, not doing so good with the laying off the Facebook apparently.
the older one isn't as bad as the younger one.
my SIL says they are now only allowed 40 minutes. (they have an egg timer) LOL my BIL is right fed up with Facebook. he claims this is where they get all their viruses & worms from all the time.
have you made up a new rotation yet? or have a rough idea in your head?
goodness you can't work & then do 2 hour workouts Saundra. you'll burn yourself out for sure. plus, you'll have a rebound effect.
when you over do it like that, your body will want alot of food. be careful.
crm549
March 9th, 2009, 07:50 AM
Lori, I may try to go and buy the Sofa tomorrow or Wednesday. I will be off Friday and Monday and hope to have it deliver on one of those days.
My basic rotation is:
Sunday - outdoor run and stretch
Monday - STS workouts for that week
Tuesday - Cardio (Step WO DVDs)
Wednesday - IFIT Treadmill WO - Abs
Thursday - Pilates workout
Friday - Cardio (Hi Lo DVDs)
Saturday - Rest
We will see about the STS workouts. I was planning on including a total body strenth workout one day a week anyway. So I decided to combine the 3 STS workouts for that week into a TB workout.
The normal rotation is Monday - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
Wednesday - Back & Biceps
Friday - Legs
Cathe uses a lot of the sames moves for multiple sets so it is easy to limit a set. Honestly I don't feel like the workout itself is hard because I swear half of it you are taking rest. Also I will only be doing this on Monday. Although as I sit and type this, maybe I will be move the STS workout to Saturday but then I have school Saturday so maybe not. Just thinking out loud a bit.
Now I am tired today but that is because I didn't go to bed until 230am.
I don't go on Facebook so I can't say I know what the attraction is but apparently they are not the only ones. I hear this is going on quite a lot.

March 9th, 2009, 01:23 PM
Saundra, sounds like you have it all planned out in your head pretty much.
I meant to tell you, over at the VF forum, alot of the posters are feeling the same way as you, in regards to not totally sticking to the original rotation.
they too, are tweaking it & making adjustments as well. (you probably are well aware of this from your jaunts on other forums)
it would be nice to get your sofa before the end of the week.
Saturday seems like a good rest day for you, with school.
how come you were up so late?
I don't think I could get addicted to Facebook. not for that long anyhow. I'm too hyper & have the attention span of a flea after awhile. although I will admit, even surfing the web for things, I'm surprised at how much time I spent surfing.
I feel for my SIL. she says it's really annoying & has become quite a problem. teenagers. hmmm....we (me) never had that kind of problem. I was already working part time.
talk to you tomorrow.

March 10th, 2009, 04:31 AM
Hi Lori, Diane, and Annette.
Lori the reason that I was up so late was because I took a nap on earlier that day. And because I was still up at midnight. I went ahead and did my workout. I am just now recovering from the DOMS from that workout.
I haven't been over to the VF forum in awhile. I will have to go check it out.
So today I was running late and had to take the next train out, and would you believe it the next train had mechanical difficulties so I was even later coming to work than I intended to be. I will probably stay until 930 to make up the hours lost.
Lori Today I started with Level 2 of the IFIT programs and it was challenging. The workout is a maximum speed of 6, incline of 10% and duration 30 minutes. I had a tough time handling the incline and had to reduce it several times. Only time I had a problem with doing the 6mph was when the incline went above 5%.
I was supposed to do Step cardio today but I didn't get up in time to do the whole workout.
I will try to check back in later.

Hi Ladies:
Lori my sister got back last night but the kids stayed over one more night and boy what a night. My niece moves alot in her sleep around 4 am she was swinging her arms and legs and hitting me in her sleep but finally I said thats enough Bethany and for some reason she quited down. Of course I had trouble getting back to sleep and then didn't want to get up when the alarm went off.
Saundra I have a question is the of the STS workouts repeated as in the same workout as a previous week a thing or two might me different but alot of it feels like I am just doing the same workout.
Annette I was outside alot on the weekend also on Sunday I took my niece and nephew for a walk in the cemetary in back of my house and as we were walking there was an older man driving on the dirt and I am just thinking he is going to get stuck and sure enough he got stuck in the mud. He asks us to help him and my nephew does but he couldn't push the car hard enough so of course I help my nephew push the car and get the man out of the mud. We ended up full of muddy clothes and shoes. I told my nephew it was his good deed for the day.
I am Still doing STS Sunday, Tuesday. Friday
Other days the treadmill, yoga, 3 days of Walking 30 minutes or so.
A step workout for an hour.
Ab hits or ab circuits are added here and there.

Diane, that is exactly what is happening. Most of the exericises are exactly the same down to Cathe's verbage. She throws in one or two different exercise to give it the "new" or "different" workout feel.
In many cases only the warmup exericises and the ending exercises are different. The stuff in the middle is the same.
I personally think she **** 12 different workout and did a whole lot of editing to come up with 36 different workouts.
Which lends me to compliment the editing because you can barely tell that is what happen.

Hi y'all, went to do a little power shoppin' today. Did find my jeans, size 18 boys from Old Navy, returned the hoodie Katie gave me. Pier 1 still didn't have my ***** Spice room spray which I loved, so I just got 3 small reed scented thingamigjigs. Had to get rid of that boy funk out of Andrew's room. :D
Monday I did Nancy's Abs, Tough Aerobic Mix and Tough Tape 2. Today I did Lower Body Sculpting (from the Classics), 5 Day Abs (1) and Tough Cardio Mix. I am switching up a little bit because Katie has to be at Confession at 4:00 tomorrow for Confirmation. So I'll just be able to do TT and Abs. TT usually does it for me.
The weather has been nice here, it is supposed to rain by this weekend and turn colder. I did find lights on sale at TArget to go under the umbrella, a little too chilly for me to eat outside, especially after working out. And wouldn't you figure as soon as I got a coffee pot, I found one on sale....
Sorry about you sleeping late and train issues, Saundra. I didn't sleep well at all last night, it was warm here and on top of that I had a hot flash.

Annette, It has been ages upon ages since I have done Tough Aerobic Mix. I am going to try to add it into the rotation either in June or July. Have you tried or do you like Febreeze? That usually gets rid of smells.
Yesterday was cold and today is quite warm. The weather is doing its back and forth thing.
My schedule has been off all week. Mostly my own fault. I have been leaving things to the last minute and then I have to rush or make up time. Like today. I just said to myself I am not going in at 12, I will go in at 1. My intention was to go purchase my sofa but I didn't leave the house in time enough to do that and make the train that would get me to work at 1. Totally my own doing.
So today I am checking in with Pilates - 10 Minutes Solution. I did all 5 sections and some moves were quite tough and challenging.

How is WW going for you I was tempted to quit but I decided to stick it out. I didn't weigh in today, I had the attack of the cookies over the weekend. But I did stay for the meeting. I am trying to change around the things I eat, trying to add more protein and follow the guildelines bettter.
Annette I always hated going to confession, when I was in Catholic school they always made you go. I would always move to the back of the line so by the time it was my turn in was time to go home.
Hi Lori
I recieve my cell phone today they try to get you any way they can. Diane, I agree. It does seem like they try to get you any they can. I am going through something similiar with Continental Airlines. I had to change my flight which induces a change fee. I am not happy about the change fee but I new that I was going to have to pay it. Which by the way is $150.00. So my original ticket was $198.00. My new ticket is one way and will only cost $98.00. So instead of me paying the difference between all that - which would be $48.00. Continental is trying to charge me the $150.00 and then given me a refund certifcate in the amount of $98.00 to use on a future flight. I am irate to say the least..
This is all online. I haven't called them yet because one I want to be calm when I talked to them and two, I can't believe that they have their system set up that way. But I am very very irritated.
I am paid up with WW through the end of the month. I have the monthly pass. I may cancel but only because I never stay for the meetings. I may just go back to using Etools. I will see.

Lori, Does Canada do the daylight savings time? I have been off all week and I think it is because I haven't adjusted to loosing an hour.
So needless to say I didn't workout this morning. I will try to get my workout in tonight when I get home.
I have taken Friday and Monday off from work. I go to the orthodonist tomorrow. I am suppose to get my braces removed so I expect I will be there for awhile. Already looking forward to the end of this work day and I just got here.

Saundra:
Did you get your braces off today? I was so excited when I was getting mine off to find out that I needed to keep on the bottom ones on longer. It was something I never regretted was getting braces and getting the lasik.
I didn't do the monthy pass because I didn't want it on my credit card each month.
Do you have Saturday and Sunday off also?
Lori sometimes I don't know what to say either I feel like I am repeating myself.
I am not used to daylight savings time yet, I ended up over sleeping this morning my hubby turned off the alarm when he got up and I didn't get up until 40 minutes later so my whole day was off I felt like I was always trying to catch up.
Annette you got my hooked on Facebook, how do you do the chat thing, someone was kept trying to chat and I had no clue what to do.

I refuse to go on. If you get a chance - check out Cathe's facebook page and let me know what you think. I don't go on facebook so I haven't look at it.
I get my braces off tomorrow. Lasik will be next, probably next year though.
I have an hour of work to go. Next week I really need to get my b.utt in gear. And get so motivation back - workwise that it.
I don't watch the news much, but I do go online so of course I couldn't miss the nutcase and/or man - whatever you want to call him that went on a shooting rampage in Alabama. Stuff like that really depresses me.
Lori have you been watch ANTM. It so annoys at this time - 12 cycles in - you still have girls crying and complaining about getting their hair cut. Why go on the show? I get so annoyed with this because there is always one.

Hi y'all,
Just been busy doin' nothin' really. :D Besides washin' clothes and getting ready for Katie's Confirmation. I am a convert to both Catholic and Episcopal churches. I enjoy Confession until my priest retired. I would love to find a great confessing priest but that is as rare as a woman in a suthern baptist pulpit, that is for sure.
I cut my hair now I need to get it trimmed by a professional, doesn't look that bad though.
I try to limit FB but I have over 350 messages to read in my mail box, talk about power reading to catch up ;)
My body still is not accustomed to DST. I don't think it will until it is time to go back. Still don't get much accomplished no matter what the time or hour!
Insurance is a pain, I still haven't my insurance straigthened out from my surgery.
I did today, 3 day of 5 Day Abs, Tracie Sculpted Abs, etc. Core Cardio 1. Yesterday I did 2 day of 5 Day Abs and Tough TApe 1. I was done. I was going to do Paula Abdul's Get Up and Dance, but neighbor came over and had a beer. So there went that extra burst of energy.
I am soooo glad tomorrow is Friday! But a busy weekend, have to go dress shopping with Katie. Old Navy is having a sale,Katie hinted to me.....teenage girls, that is for sure!

ROTFLMAO Saundra. ANTM, I know, I know!
alittle annoying this year, more so than usual? I think because they seem alot younger & even more immature than usual?
I have to admit, I was like them at that age too. (with getting my haircut) there was always drama. Miss Prima-donna:cool:
I'm laughing here, I'm sure I'd be the "one" who would annoy everyone! that's so funny.
I think humilatity comes with age? LOL
I do love the makeovers though. one of my favorite parts of the show.
anything with the makeup, I'm so there. love the hair, love the hair too.
so cool, how they can change someone's looks dramatically. even with just color, forget about the cut.
Saundra, your pearly whites are going to be so much fun to flash your smile everytime you look in the mirror! finally coming to an end, wearing those braces.
when I come back from the dentist, soon as I get in my car, first thing I do, is take a look! how conceited. LOL
then I get home & go straight to the bathroom & look again. they always look so nice when you get them cleaned. I can only imagine what it would be like after wearing your braces. what fun. hey, no more elastic band thing-eys anymore!
couldn't run on the treadmill this morning. DH had to work graveyard tonite, so he needed to sleep in this morning. too noisy for me to run.
missed it.
one more day of sunshine & then it's to turn to rain. winter over in your "all's" neck of the woods?
Diane, one of my friends would IM me constantly. I had to block her. everytime I got online, she would see I was online & start IM-ing me.
LMAO, Saundra, getting Diane to do your FB-ing for you! so funny.
now Annette's always giving you & me a hard time about our buying frenzies...I think we might have to send Diane & Annette to a FB rehab.....watch out you two, we'll do an intervention.
maybe my SIL will have to come & get you two & have you sit down with my neices & the egg timer! 40 minutes! 40 minutes!

Hi Ladies:
A little change for the week, I am going out to dinner with a couple of friends that I haven't seen for a while.
Saundra I am finding STS a little repeatative, did you start the next phase?
I am finding my arms bulking up a little I that is not want I wanted to do. A couple of my shirts are tight on the bicep area.
Any plans for the weekend ladies? Nothing for me I am supposed to clean the apartment downstairs before they rent it out. It seems like they got a nice person coming in.

no plans here for the weekend. boring...well, the hockey game is on tonite & Sunday nite.
have a nice dinner Diane with your friends. (is your DH going too? or just you?) enjoy yourself. where you going? Italian? Chinese? Steakhouse?
hopefully your renter will be better than the last.
I imagine Saundra will be getting her sofa today? (Saundra, if you didn't procastinate...you could be lounging on it this weekend!) LOL
speaking of procastinating, I need to get outside & start/do alittle yard work.
I took Cheemo for a hour & half walk. he seems bagged. that only lasts for a few hours.
Annette, get off the FB!!! LOL
I liked how Diane was brutally honest with her view of Cathe's FB. at least Diane tells it like it is. I liked that.

Hi y'all,
I ended up doing Paula Abdul's Get Up and Dance and realize I am too old, but I had fun, great cardio workout. I did Bust/**** before I went to work. It was cold and dreary here, I made soup and tuna fish sandwiches with hushpuppies, took a catnap before I went to bed. :D
FB rehab, that is too funny. FB is a whooole lot cheaper than eBay, that is for sure.
TJMaxx/Marshalls have older Firm kits on sale. I am tryin' to get my aunt and cousin to get hooked on the Firm/Fitprimes so I gave them my extra workouts. I need to call them and tell them about the FL so they can get into the Firm/Fitprime workouts.
Diane, glad you had a nice dinner, it is great to relax and let someone else do the cooking for a change. I tell ya, my next house will be next to a restaurant, that is for sure and next door an optional gym!
Saundra, did you get your braces off? When I got mine off, it felt weird and they hurt a little. Of course that was a million years ago. Did you get a black mouthpiece as well?
Lori, no plans per se, besides find a dress for Katie for Confirmation and there is a indoor garage sale I want to go. Goodwill on Thur-Sun have $1.00 items. I went Thur and found another pair of workout pants and a khaki Columbia sports skort. I like the skorts I can workout and then go out in them.
I need to finish cleaning, and doing laundry. UGGGH!
Y'all have a great weekend!
Lori
March 14th, 2009, 12:22 AM
there's something about a skort just looking plain sexy:eek:
fish sandwiches & hushpuppies? ok, what are hushpuppies?
rain here this morning too. still warm though. we've been so spoiled these last couple of weeks with sun everyday.
now it's spring break & the kids get rain. LOL
Diane, sometimes it's just nicer to be one on one with someone than a b.ig group.
it was nice for you to get out & have some time on your own.
you earned it. gee, with looking after Nat & the kids, you needed a break.
Italian, yum, what you have? hope you had a nice glass of wine or two?
Saundra, Saundra, flashing her teeth...better put our sunglasses on...blinding our eyes!

March 14th, 2009, 03:56 AM
Good afternoon Ladies.
Yes I did get my braces off and I am very very please. I didnt' think I would be with the outcome. Thinking that I probably wasted 4 years for nothing but when they told me to brush my teeth to get out the gulk (glue and other junk) out, I pulled out my little compact mirror to make sure I got it all. And I was like wow, my teeth. I haven't seen you in such a long time.
Now I just need to get my gums healthy again because they are tender and bled a little and a couple of the teeth hurt but I am loving. I have to wear a retainer. I have a partial retainer on the bottom teeth that is permanent and then a retainer for the top teeth that I have to wear all the time except for when I eat , brush, and exercise.
I need to go and purchase me at least two more retainer cases. I can see me putting it on a napkin and then throwing away the napkin. The retainers cost $250.00 to replace. Hopefully I can find a couple of cases at Wal-mart.
Lori, after all the back and forth, I decided not to by a sofa, at least this year. I don't really need one. I just would like to have one for the living room, but if I get a sofa I will need to get rid of another piece of furniture and I don't feel like doing all that.
Lori what are web friends for, if not to go out and check out a website for me. I probably would have gotten around to looking at the FB page but now I don't feel the rush.
Thank you Diane!
Annette, I have both of Paula's workout but on VHS. Bought them well before she was on American Idol. If I find them super cheap, I may try to get them on DVD.
I am in class today. I spent part of yesterday cleaning my upper level, except for the bathrooms. Today, I will try to get the basement in some type or order and then tomorrow I will do the main level. That is what I do when I am tempted to purchase high ticketed items for my home. I go through and clean my house.
My car - my 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage wouldn't start today. It was the battery. I rarely drive but try to start it up every couple of weeks or so. Last summer I didn't start it for like 6 weeks and went Out to start it one day and it wouldn't start.
So today when it wouldn't start after 2 weeks, I was annoyed. I own one of the portable jumpstarts units - this one is made by Duracell and was able to start it with no problem. But I can't believe the battery started to drain after 2 weeks.
Okay - finally got caught up on my workouts. Yesterday I did Amy Bento ASC3 and today was The FIRM Tortoise workout.

Saundra, I bet it feels weird when you drag your tongue across the front of your top teeth, huh? I'm jealous, bet they look so nice!:D
maybe because it was so cold the battery drained faster?
you know my DH bought a Mercedes in 2002 (thinking it was a good idea) & I tell ya, it has had more little things like the battery, replacement bulbs, this & that & yadayadayada than my 1986 Fiero.
I tell ya, that little sucker starts up & is raring to go everytime. & we haven't spent a nickel on that car. looks brand new too.
(I'll take a picture next show & tell).
which leads me to think & say, they don't build stuff like they used to!
probably was a good idea then, that you didn't buy the sofa. if you hedged & waited, something was telling you not to buy.
better off to buy the retainers.;)

When is Katie's communion? My niece's is May 16th.
Saundra my gums were actually better after I got my braces off no room for food to get stuck. I hated the retainer more than the braces I would always find in on my pillow in the morning.
Lori I am a *** skort person, I am not one for shorts to much.
Lori I am not much of a drinker especially when I am driving one drink goes right to my head.
I thought hushpuppies are shoes.

Lori I am not going to buy 2 more retainers. I just want to buy 2 more containers to put them in. One for my batheroom, One to leave on my dining table and then one for my purse. Although I think I need one to leave at work.
Diane, I love skorts. I love the skirt look but don't actually like wearing skirts. Mostly because I am tomboy and forget to close my legs.
I ran 3 miles today in 38:19.
I need to finish up my Home Work Project that is due tomorrow. I don't know why I wait until the last minute to do these things.

Hi Saundra:
I am still doing STS the 4th week I couldn't move up in weights, the cleaning yesterday really got to my shoulders. I felt to much of a strain on my shoulders when adding a heavier weight. Do you have any idea why Cathe adds so many push-ups? enough is enough already.
Lori and Annette hope you had a great weekend.

Hi y'all, rainy weather here that is for sure. I worked out today, I usually do strength and then cardio but Dave was upstairs so I did Core Cardio 2, then 5th day of 5 Day Abs. They went to church then I did Better Body/Buns. Crashed, cooked dinner, ate dinner and crashed again!
It was so funny today because Andrew and I both had the same type of Old Navy jeans on! Talk about borrowin' fashion trends from your children.
Diane, I am think' that Cathe wants to build up our cleavage ala Tracie, she cracks me every time when she says that. Take it easy on your shoulders, I found out the hard way. Katie is being Confirmed on St. Patty's day on Tuesday. One child down one to go! I wish the Catholic church would adopt the Byzatine Rite of the church and get children confirmed during baptism better yet go back to the ancient church and do Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation as infants.
Lori, my dad had a Mercedes and Audi years ago, and they would stay in the shop. I had 3 Chevy's when I was younger and finally got a Honda, had it for 10 years. Then I go a Mits station wagon. That was okay but then I got a Volvo wagon. The only thing about HOnda's is constant brakes. Volvos always have light bulb issues. I also add pillows in my seats because they sit so low. A friend of mine said my legs were too long and I need a booster seat!
Saundra, when I am on the fence about something, it usually happens later when it is on sale. Which will probably happen, when you least expect it, and finding it on sale. We got a 2 piece sofa set when the furniture store was going out of business. We really need one.
That is smart about getting 2 retainers. Katie needs to call and get her contacts prespciption she has already torn one, but these were the trial pair.
Hushpuppies are made out of cornmeal with onions and green peppers, fried but I baked mine. I was reading an interesting article on pork:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/15/opinion/15kristof.html?th&emc=th
Dave doesn't eat healthy at all and bought more pork! I told him not too, but you know how that goes. I am also reading a book called, "Freedom From Disease" It is about insulin and sugar and how it effects or affects our body. Some info I knew like sugar feeds cancer, ADD/AHDA connection but didn't realize it about Alhemizers. Interesting stuff.
Y'all have a great week!

Lazy day for me. I took the day off but I plan to drive down to work. I bought a microwave for my office and it is not something I want to carry on the train.
Diane, there aren't that many pushups in Mesocycle 2. And I agree with you much of the workout is repetitive.
Lori, you are not going to believe what I did. I purchase 2 earth boxes. I am going try to grow oranges in one and I haven't decided what I will grow in the other. Except for the initial setup, it is suppose to be easy as pie. We will see. I am sure their definition of simple and my are two totally different things.

My niece's Church it ST. Patricks isn't that funny.

Lori did I ever ask you if you speak French?
Diane
Workout today along with STS was 40 minutes of walking
Lori
March 16th, 2009, 09:47 AM
Saundra, that sounds cool (the oranges). we have a cherry tree & blackberry bushes. love cherries. eat them by the tons in the summer. till I'm right sick of them.
growing up as a child, my parents yard was full of fruit trees.
we had tons of apple, pear, plum & cherry trees. raspberry, blackberry & strawberries.
you'll do fine. as long as you don't forget to water them.
nothing like fresh fruit from your own garden! alot tastier than the store bought.
can imagine what a fresh orange tastes like. yummy.
a neighbour on our walk, has a little lemon tree.
tell me what you decide to grow in the other. curious as heck.
Diane, I know alittle French. just the basics. can get by alright. I wouldn't say I was fluent. we don't speak any French here on the westcoast. but, it was mandatory for us to learn, because of our country being also French Canadian. even though we don't speak it alot around here, it is still on everything as well as English. tv stations, street signs, pamphlets, all food packaging, you name it.
I'm down to the end of my yoga dvds. I have 2 & 1/2 weeks left.
that was something I never would believe I would have stuck out.

better start supper first.

You can send some blackberries my way, they are so expensive in the stores. Do you have to worry about deer eating them?
How are the in-laws?
Diane
Added another 30 minutes of walking
Lori
March 16th, 2009, 01:01 PM
we dont' have deer close around here. farther up north, we do.
our problem with our fruit is birds, rabbits, squirrels, & racoons.
constantly in our cherry tree. I look like a crazy old kook, chasing & shooing birds away.
for some reason, I don't mind when the squirrels eat them. they look cute.
DH calls them tree-rats. LOL
at my mom & dad's place, they had such a b.ig acreage, that there were so many trees, that there was enough for us & the wildlife.
yeah, berries are expensive alright.
do you all like cranberries & blueberries? we are or are one of the b.iggest exporters of those.
Diane, my mom makes the best blackberry pie you could ever have tasted. it doesn't even need ice cream. making me drool, just thinking about it.
my FIL is not doing very well. he is still in intensive care. they operated on him on Monday. did some reconstructive surgery & he had to have a tracheotomy. he's still not able to breathe on his own.
he hasn't got a clue if he's alive or not. doesn't know who anyone is. hasn't come to yet. he's totally out of it.
my MIL is home with a nurse. she uses a walker & gets dizzy really quickly. but, she'll be fine, eventually.
thanks for asking.
I cut my darn fingertip off making supper. hurts like a son of a gun, but, again I refuse to go get stitched. my hands look hideous enough as it is. ugghh...trying to keep the bandaid dry is a pain.
Saundra, did you catch those idiot women who started a fight & rioting for the audition of the ANTM?

Lori, no I missed that news about ANTM. Although the only TV I have seen lately is what's on my DVR.
Sorry to hear that your FIL is still having a tough time. Didn't you cut your fingertip once before? Do you think it is the knives you using?
Oh and thanks for the list of fruit. I think I will try cherries. I love cherries but they are usually $4.99 a lb around here and the go bad really quickly.
Diane, what week of STS are you on? Have you decided what you are going to do for recovery week.?
Lori I like cranberry juice. I don't think I have fresh cranberries before. I have had blueberries and they are okay.
The other day I was in Wal Mart and saw this cool blender, but I said no Saundra, the blender you have a home is just fine. Would you believe this morning while make my daily smoothie, the blender broke?!. Well it didn't actaully break but I heard this funny churning - not normal sound. When I went to pour out my smoothie a piece of the blade came off and the other part of the blade was severely bent.
Checking in today with IFIT Level 2 workout 2. I liked workout 2 better than 1. They were both 6mph, 10%incline and 30 minutes. But I liked the way 2 flowed better than one.
Saundra
Lori
March 17th, 2009, 03:52 AM
time for a new blender. weird.
yes, I butchered up a finger badly before. but, it was actually with a broken pyrex dish.
this wasn't the knife's fault. I was hurrying. was getting alittle behind & trying to rush. (should have got off sooner (playing around on the computer)
scared to change my bandaid, to be honest.
cherries are really quite easy to grow. their so expensive because they have to be picked manually. which raises the cost.
make sure you buy a cherry that is for eating. like Queen Anne, Bing or Rainier. you want a sweet eating cherry.
lots are for cooking or wine making & are awful for just eating. sour, bitter & small.
fresh cranberry sauce with turkey. fabulous. on turkey sandwiches. (I could have one right now, thank you very much)
I first saw the girls (auditioning for ANTM) going idiotic on the news & then read about it in the paper. what the heck is wrong with people.
it was the same scenerio of the typical Christmas shopping maddness.
apparently there were injuries.
6 miles is too fast for me. I don't enjoy it. really loathe it. LOL
at a 10% incline I know I would HATE it!
good for you, I'm impressed Saundra.
funny how you liked the 2 better. you wouldn't think so.
I have to go to the mall tomorrow.
need to get my mom some birthday gift. so far I only bought a book from amazon awhile ago.
I hate the mall. I think because of so many years of working in them?
now we're really talking about loathing.
I have in mind what I want, hopefully I can find what I'm looking for.
as for my FIL, I'm worried about him. seems like a long time to be in that kind of condition at his age? sad.
he's a strong old Russian dude though. hopefully he'll pull through it. the guy has lives like a cat.
Annette, did you ever catch up on your over 300 email requests on FB? or are you farther behind now?
Diane, enjoying your spring break?
I should get my act together. Cheemo is raring to go. play the little ankle biter out for abit.
raining outside. now Cheemo really is a personal trainer, because if it wasn't for him, for sure, I would not be going outside. he definitely forces me to, somedays. (alot of days really)
catch you all later.

Lori:
We don't have spring break until April around Easter time. I am looking forward to it. We are supposed to look for a kitchen cabinets that week I hope it works out.
When we finally get into our house I wanted to plant Blackberries, I didn't know cheeries were easy to grow maybe I will try those to.
Well my hubby is finally going back to work on our house I told him he had to be finished by Summer or decide what he wants to do with it I am tired of waiting. As of August 09 it will be 2 years since he actually started building the house.
I like fresh cranberries but mostly eat them around Christmas maybe because we use them in cookies.
Saundra we must be on the same wave length I just finished the last STS today and I was going to ask you what you did for the recovery week?
For some reason I just felt like getting it over with and did all my STS 3 days in a row, today was actually the best workout day, I think I ate a little better yesterday keeping a more balance of food. Did you get a pull up bar or use the tubbing I think I finally found a way to make the tubbing work for me I am using my treamill when its folded up and hook the tubbing through it.
I think I was feeling a little depressed there for a little while. Feburary is the month my mother died 3 years ago and for some reason things seemed to drag out this year, I was harping on it too much this year.
Annette are you having some nice weather its supposed to really be a nice day tomarrow here.
Last day of STS and walking later on, my friend wanted to start walking again
it was a little hard for my yesterday she hasn't walked for a while so I really had to slow my pase down, it was like I was taking a strole my heart rate didn't even get up there while she was walking out of breath.

Hi y'all, it was rainy and dreay Monday yesterday and didn't have much energy. I came back from work and took a nap and got second wind. Did Upper Body Sculpt, Abs and Core Core 1. Today I did Abs, Standing Legs and Fat Blaster. Ate mid mornin' lunch and slept. Felt tons better. I think my iron is low again.
Lori, I put my Forum friends on the DOK prayer list. I don't write names, just Forum friends. I hope everyone pulls through. And please send fresh fruit my way as well.
My neighbor calls the sqirrels rats with tails too! And they get in attic and side walls. Nothin' like squirrels wakin' up in the middle of the night. Along with hot flashes how am I supposed to sleep?
The article on pork is a good one, I think eating in moderation is the key.
Diane, perhaps Katie should get confirmed at St. Patrick's church on St. Patty's day. :D This weekend we are having a St. Patty's meal at the church. Any excuse to drink green beer. We had a St. Pat's Day in 5 Points last weekend. It was rainy and overcast. I kinda wanted to go to hear 7 Nations but didn't want to pay 15.00 either.
The sun is finally peeking out. I need to do errands and perhaps Katie can wear my sweater w/o having to run to Old Navy to get a shawl.
Enough of the downward dogs Lori :) LOL
Saundra sorry to hear about blender. My coffee maker leaked over night so I had to get another one last week. Then I was in Target of course they had them on sale. I am so spoiled with my coffeemaker. I can't get through the morning without it.
Today is Grandma Lou's birthday, Dave's mom, I can remember her birthday! I talked with my step mother who had knee surgery. And my dad is playin' Dr. Leo again. He ended up going to the doctor.
Y'all have a great day!

Diane, if you do decide to grow blackberries, make sure you have plenty of room & plan on not getting rid of them. they are hard to get rid of. they bury deep into your ground & are impossible to get rid of.
they take alot of space & grow wildly. hard to keep control of. like bamboo.
they'll take over your entire yard if given a chance.
they need plenty of sun. same as cherries.
our kid's spring break is this week.
it got sunny here too. windy. better than walking in the rain though. better for the dog too.
I know, I know, enough of the yoga. I just counted, I've done over 103 yoga dvds in a row! more actually. because some have more than one workout on each dvd. some have up to 12.
I wish I wrote down when I actually started. I know it's been months. well before Christmas?
& it's been everyday, except one rest day a week.
I'm tired of it. honestly. need a break from it. not that I don't like it.
I would have liked to finish all the dvds, but, I'm just feeling like, "no".
I will say, that my flexibility is much better & that was my main goal with the yoga. then I got all fanatical about it!
Annette, it's no wonder your iron is low. your life tires me out, just reading!
just eating Haagen Daaz for lunch myself. mayan chocolate. bad, I know, but, I need it? LOL
I'm eating my pork chops today too. (grossing Annette out)
Saundra, you jinxed your old blender. that new one was saying, "buy me, buy me". you killed the old one!
Happy Birthday Grandma Lou! & many more!

Lori, eat your pork chops I want make you feel guilty, it is just flusterating when I tell Dave just to buy a family pack of 4 small ones instead we have 1/2 a hog!
I thought I was bad with all my workouts!! I stopped counting my workouts. I probably have some virgin workouts. :D LOL
Saundra, you stop making some many daquiri's with your girlfriends :) LOL

Lori, I am so glad we have you and you know all about this planting stuff. Thanks for the tips about the Cherries. Whenever I get my earth boxes in, then I will look for the names you suggestion.
I can't believe I killed my pour blender. I am going to be without smoothies until I replace the thing. I may try to go to Wal-mart after I get off the train. Or I could perhaps try my food processor.
Annette, I have over 400 workouts. Way too many. I will be donating some more of them to National Children's Center.
Diane, my spring break is from April 6 to April 13. My instructor has our third project due April 14. Who want to spend their spring break working on a project. My back went out right before Recovery week so I spent most of the time doing nothing. The last two days I did FIRM Cardio overdrive minus the weight segments and Amy Bento's Rumble workout.
Lori, I think it was the way 2 was constructed. With workout 1, every minute the incline and/or the speed was changing. With workout 2, I would be at the same speed and incline for 2 minutes instead of 1.
This has already been a long work day. Oh Happy St. Patricks Day by the way.

whenever something breaks, then you really miss it.
plant the cherries, they are so good for you. another super food. plus they look so pretty when they flower in the spring. & smell amazing. plus they look like pretty confetti. not a mess. the flowers just kind of melt away on their own.
if your cherries get mushy, put them in your porridge or cereal. they don't taste mushy then.
you can bake with cherries. they are a good substitute for raisins.
they are great in muffins. better than apples or other kind of fruit. they don't have that soggy thing about them.
when you get your cherries, make sure you pick them with the stems still intact. keeps them fresher, longer.
same as when you buy them in the store. look for one's with stems. better quality.
Annette, it really does make you wonder what is in our food nowadays though, doesn't it?
I mean everything. milk, meat, eggs not to mention the processed stuff.
back in the day, you knew what was in your food.
what was put on the table, was wholesome, no chemicals, hormones or addictives. home grown mostly.
even our fruit & vegetables are chemically sprayed & waxed.
no wonder why we are getting sicker than past generations.
scarey what we're doing to our kids, huh?
I don't like it when I try to give the dog something & he turns something up!
kind of a reg flag there. if the dog won't eat it, what gives?
yes, 400 dvds. OH MY! I never thought I'd end up with over 100 yoga titles!?
Saundra, I think it will be easier for us not to buy now though.
I have a feeling with the money market the way it is, that there won't be too many new titles being made. what do you think?
I've done pretty much nothing today! LOL
managed to waste a few hours online. ordered some more American Eskimo fridge magnets from ebay??? what is the matter with me. LOL
like Annette said the other day, stalling as much as I can to do some housework or something productive.
there are some programs Saundra like that on our treadmill too.
I think the constant changing tires me out alot faster. good to mix it up, though.
I'm looking forward to staying longer on the treadmill again.
I cut back to no longer than 45 minute runs. combining with the yoga.
I was doing the 5 mile runs daily. then burnt out. LOL
I plan to do that again, then maybe a yoga dvd on day 6.
we'll see?
oh yeah, Annette enjoy your green beer! LOL
Diane & Saundra, you doing anything for St. Patricks' day?
I better get off the computer. the dog's ready to go to the mailbox at the end of the street. I take him around the block one more time, before we call it a day.
do my best to tire the bugger out, so I can watch the hockey game without interruptions.
now you know why he looks so exhausted in his sleepy dog pictures! LOL
a sleepy dog is a happy dog!
Saundra, are you going to visit your mom & dad on spring break or in May did you say?
crm549
March 17th, 2009, 09:52 AM
Lori, I won't be visiting them until the end of May. And I hope you are right, that there won't be very many new workouts made. It makes the decision not to buy so much easier.
I just recently purchase and sent back a Kathy Smith workout. I thought it was a new workout. It was called Kathy Smith Dance Slim Down. But they were just older workouts - that I already have - put into new packaging. I get so angry at this tactic.
The thing about the blender is - I have had it forever - at least 6 years, but rarely use it until last summer when I started making Secure Smoothies with it. The only thing I ever put in it is ice, the powder and some type of juice. I did order a Wolfgang Puck blender last November but didn't like the way it looked so I sent it back without even trying it out. Now I did see a blender at Wal-Mart that I like but it is not Wal-mart that is on my way home from the train station.
I have an hour of work to go. Can you tell that I have been productive today?

I am not worried about room for the blackberries there is tons of room, in the beginning I would probably just have to worry about the deer.
Lori I didn't do much for ST Patrick's day besides dress in green and my son wants corned beef and cabbage on Saturday.
Lori getting bored with yoga what will you do next?
Saundra so for recovery week there is no weights at all?
Saundra I actually have a blender that my grandmother used to use, believe it or not it still works. While ones I buy don't last that long.
How do you decide which workouts to get rid of?
Annette I kept saying communion for Katie and not confirmation sorry.
Diane
Lori
March 17th, 2009, 01:11 PM
Saundra, 6 years is pretty darn good for a blender.
sometimes when you don't use small appliances very much, they can break down faster?
oh, those re-naming titles is such a rip-off! Kathy Smith titles are bad for that too. Gaiam is the worst of the bunch. glad you got your money back.
so you gonna take some time off (holidays) at the end of May. how long are you going to take to visit your parents?
must be something in the air, I was rather a slacker today myself.
I forgot to say, cherry trees are easier to grow than apple. or other fruit.
cherries you can basically leave them alone & let them do their own thing.
you don't need to do any thinning like other fruit trees.
& you don't need to start pruning until the trees are rather mature.
plus they are relatively pest free. occassionally they can get aphids (not usual), but apples are pickier. worms & really dependent on good weather;)
Diane, as for the blackberries, caution. find a good spot that is literally left to blackberries. they will ruin any grass in or around them. & if you try to remove them....just when you think you got rid of them, next year they start coming right back up through the earth.
I can't see any deer going near them. way too prickly. I've had some major scrathes from the suckers, over the years. got a nice scar on my forearm.
no yoga, more running. like to run again 5miles daily. 5 days, 1 day yoga.
Diane, how long did it take for your fingers to heal after you cut them? (Saundra, it was Diane you were thinking of)
I really butchered mine. it was worse than I thought. I put some clean bandages on & it looks like it went through the meat grinder:eek:
ready for the hockey game. catch you all tomorrow.
I haven't had corned beef & cabbage in ages. sounds good. lots of mustard. you cooking some boiled spuds too? what time's dinner on Saturday? LOL
Diane I

Lori:
I hate to say it but my finger still bothers me now even though it looks healed just fine when it's really cold it bothers me or if I jam it. I probably should get it checked to see if I damaged a nerve or something. but I don't think they do anything.
We have a couple of peach trees that were never really taken care of, but this year I pruned them and I need to get something for the bugs. Or some kind of tree food. I don't like eating the peaches because they don't look that good, but my mother-in -law eats them just fine.
Diane
Lori

Diane, you sound just like me. if I get the creepy crawlers, I just get turned off by it & won't eat it. even when everyone else does.
last year some blackberries had little bugs crawling on them & grossed me out.
even after washing, I wasn't fussy on them. I kept looking at them funny. & picturing the bugs.
I used to be really bad with chicken. preparing it (taking the skin off) always made me not want to eat it? yet, if someone else made it, no problem. LOL
about your finger, that is not what I wanted to hear. I don't think I did any nerve damage. without getting too graphic, my pyrex cut years & years ago, left one nasty scar & I'm sure I had some serious damage too. it had some kind of guts hanging out. nasty looking. & it hurt for years.
I'm hating the trying not to get the darn bandage wet. what a nuisance.
yeah, peaches aren't easy to grow. they always get caterpillars. or if it rains too much they split.
when I was kid, every summer we used to fill up our wagon with fresh fruit & sell it.
like little gypsy peddlers. we used to make a killing.
all this talk about fruit trees, brought back my childhood memories.
when I think back, I really do miss my mom & dad's yard! LOL
when your young, you just take all that kind of stuff for granted.
I'm dreading the mall already. haven't even finished my second cup of coffee.
Saundra, did you stop by the Wal-Mart?
ok, have a good one girls! bye for now.
crm549
March 18th, 2009, 03:23 AM
Lori, yes I stopped by Wal-Mart and of course the Blender that I wanted they didn't have. They had it on display but none in stock. So I got another one, much cheaper for $20. I used it this morning. It seems okay. I am going to put it to the test and see how it holds up. I have no problem taking stuff back.
I am very picky about what it eats and if it doesn't look right or smell right I would chuck it on a minute. When all those competition shows use to come out and they should people eating gross stuff, I would tell my friends, that if I was on their team, we wouldn't when any money because not even for a million dollars would I eat that gross out stuff. And I sincerly mean that.
But peaches are especially bad. It is tough to find a good peach that doesn't already look rotted out.
I will probably have my earth boxes by the end of the week. HSN sent me a shipping notice.
Diane, it is more like I decide which workout to keep than I decide which one to get rid of. Also, most of the VHS workouts (and I had quite a few of those) are either gone or in the pile to give away.

I went out to a restaurant with friends and did not like the way a dish I ordeded smelled, I wouldn't eat it and brought it home to my husband he said it was great. It had some funky cheese on it that I just coudn't take the smell.
I am bad with chicken also but I am the reverse, my husband will cook it on the
george forman grill for me and when I cook I make sure I scrape the white stuff off my husband leaves it on there and I just won't eat it.
Saundra I would swear we are all made out of the same mold not eating something if it smells bad, I drive my sister nuts when I smell things before I eat it, my Aunt just laughs at me because she does the same thing.

& for the record, me too, Diane, I don't like that white slimy cooked stuff that comes off chicken! what the heck is that anyway?!? LOL
Saundra, if you were on my team, & we were up against a million $, I'm telling you, I would do my best to cram it down your throat! LOL
I can, will & do eat just about anything. but, if I know it's creepy in some way, I can turn myself off from it.
your better off being ignorant, or not knowing, huh?
like I said before, for some reason chicken can make me squeem. the chicken legs are the worse for me. oh, if I see blood cooked or near the bone....you know that dark blood look, I don't like it.
ok, I'll change the subject. LOL
the mall wasn't too bad. I went early. so early in fact, that it wasn't open for 20 minutes!?
the only stores open were the Wal-Mart & the drugstore. looked in there till the rest of the mall opened.
I was looking for a wallet/purse combination (for my mom's birthday).
found one. hard, because it has to b.ig enough to hold her glasses & she always has a ton of change. but, she likes them small, not too b.ig.
just got back from our dogwalk. cut short. we saw & pitbull, which basically put a damper on it. I dragged Cheemo, hightailed it home. rainy & light winds anyhow.
I ran 2.5 miles & then powerwalked for 2 miles on the treadmill this morning. was nice.
we have nice peaches here in our Okanagan (up north). tons & tons of peach fields.
smells so nice in the summertime.
you can drive by & get them from kids selling them on the sides of the road. like 8 for a $1. sizes of a baseball.
you all need to come down here in the summer, real nice.
Diane, what was the premix of Cardio & Weights? is that a Cathe?
Wow, $20 for a blender? that's sure cheap. their at least twice as much here!?
do you have your own office Saundra? you mentioned you bought a microwave for work. do you share it with anyone or strictly for yourself?
well, I finished my lunch (better today, than yesteday's Haagen Daz). well, not really better per se, but, healthier. LOL
should tidy up the joint now.
going to watch DH play hockey tonite. freeze my buns off:mad:
check back later.

Yes it is Cathe I guess I forgot to mention that.
I also walked about 30 minutes later on it was really a nice day here today.
I don't even eat chicken legs or Turkey legs because of the same issue. I find that when other people cook it they don't cook it to death like I do. I don't like anything pink, red or looking slimmy.
I think the white stuff is fat, someone told me once to soak the chicken in salt for 20 minutes before you cook it and some of the fat will come out.

Hi y'all,
Diane don't worry about communion/conformation thing, I understood. It well, Father Paul who I just love did the homily. The service was about 1 1/2 hour long, and we were the last to take pics in the lottery. Then we went out to eat, so we got home about 10:00 or so, worn slap out. Katie still had an emotional high. Andrew served and Dave almost got drafted to usher.
I love turkey wings, marinate them in Italian dressing and then grill them. Add garlic and Old Bay. Yuuumy with sweet taters, I am good. :D
Lori, don't let me come and get you to see about your finger. We had an apple tree at our other house. We don't grow any veggies/fruits here. The deer would eat them, the first year we moved, I planted beautiful winter kale/cabbage and they were gone. We don't have as much deer but other wild life. The other day the turtles were out on the mud hole, getting a sun tan. :D
Saundra, I found an electric tea kettle at a garage sale, I love it, I do my unsweetened tea in it. I haven't used my blender in hears, I would do my protein shakes in them. I do have some rotten bananas I need to use.
Dave cooked today, he is starting to cook on my part time days, because he likes to eat early, I prefer to eat after I workout. Speakin' of which waitin' on DAve, so I can finish. I almost through with Push/Pull. I found BodySTep at the Thrift shop, still new. So I'll do that today, even though it is a rest day.
I did have a beer in honor of St. Pat's but it wasn't green :D
Yesterday was DAve's mother's birthday, so I called them last night, DAve's stepfather's birthday is also in March. Anyway Grandma Lou thinks I look like Michelle Obama. Perhaps in the arms.
I am so glad no one is focusing on ****s and boobs :), it is the year of the arms!

Lori, I am telling you we would loose the million dollars.!:p And yest I know it is a million. But still we would loose.
They had some expensive blenders. The one I wanted was $60. But all I do is make smoothies with that so I really don't need that.
I share my office with 4 other people. We already had a small refrigerator but had to trek to either the cafeteria or other people's office spaces to use their microwave. That got annoying. I was very happy today to be able to warm up my food without leaving my space. I got the cheapest microwave that Wal-Mart had which cost me $61.00. It was worth for the convenience of being able to warm up my food.
Annette, that is cool about the tea kettle. I don't drink hot tea unless I am extremely sick. Actually I rarely drink cold tea either. I prefer my tea with lemon in it.
Diane, believe it or not, I am less picky today, about food than when I was younger. Although I am still very picky.
Okay it is time for me to go home. Got go catch my train.

Saundraunfortunately I know we would lose. but, it felt fun typing it.
maybe, if I tranquilized you? or while you were sleeping?
hey, a $20 blender is a steal. especially if your just making smoothies. who cares, as long as it blends. those would be nice gifts to give someone at that price. we don't have any deals like that in our Wal-Mart.
ya, nice not to have to wander around with your food. heat it up right there. your coworkers must love you.
Diane, I overcook everything. so we'd get along fine with the food.
I'm not into that raw meat ever! on any kind of meat or fish.
DH gets mad at me for "ruining" my steaks.
I figured that was a Cathe workout.
Annette, your turkey legs sound delicious. I've never had turkey on the bar-b-q.
we tried growing peas, carrots, lettuce & radishes & the rabbits pretty much ate everything. drove Cheemo mad. LOL
pointless to plant anything in the ground here too. some kind of wildlife gets it before you do. unless your able to guard it.
there are so many markets around now, that you can get all this stuff locally...so you get to the point of being lazy & thinking what's the point? right?
Katie, on cloud 9..so cute....let her savior it for as long as she can.
so nice when kid's get to feel special.
Bodystep? is that a step-bench? or a workout?
ready to go to the rink. yuk...so cold. & way past my bedtime. but, I haven't gone & watched at all this year. feel guilty about that.

This must be the year of the arms! That is for sure. I think DAve is a competive cook. That I am not.
Saundra, Japanese meetings everyone stands up. ;0), just so they don't go 'round and round. Glad you are enjoying your blender.
Lori, I love turkey wings especially grilled. I don't care for the whole turkey though. Isn't that weird, similiar that I love onion rings but don't care for onions unless they are cooked in something.
There is a produce stand not too far from me that I like to get fresh veggies/fruits. I can't do sushi or anything raw but steaks for me are usually cooked medium rare. I usually ended up burning something or another when I cook, usually bread!
BodyStep are Les Mills workouts, only found in clubs. But the one I did had The STep Challenge part of the Les Mills with *** GAsper and othe aerobic champions. It is an old vhs tape. I wonder how much it is worth?
Diane, I hope you are having a great day. I tried taking a nap after working out but the telephone rang and then Andrew came home so I just got up. Need to finish doing chores. UGHHH!
Today I did Keli Roberts ASAP, such a beautiful workout. Then I did Upper Body and BodyStep dvd. I was starting to get shin splints, so I needed to change up my cardio. I guess my body is fallin' apart!

I really could have used that nap today too. If I didn't have so much extra stuff on my arms they would be great. My whole body for that matter.

Lori my husband is not much of a steak person, but when I do cook them he says I don't cook them enough.
Saundra how it the second set of STS going?
Do you ladies shave? I have a stupid question How many times do you a razor blade before you throw it out? I used to use it 2 or 3 times but they are really expensive now.
Feeling over hungry today gave into temptation a couple of times one of the worst was this pastry my mother-in-law gave me, it was the one year annivesary of her husband dying, my husband got up early to go to church I couldn't go I leave the house early to watch the kiddies.

thanks for posting those articles Annette.
I would love to have Michelle's arms too (& the rest of her body & heck her life while we're at it!). unfortunately, I have arms more like Madonna's sinewy ones that were mentioned. LOL
& yes TGIF. I am going to try & sleep in both Sat & Sun. I feel sooo tired. I think it still is that DST?
well, so much for no yoga. I did a dvd yesterday morning. I just didn't feel like running.
I think it was like what Annette said before...knowing that I have these "virgin" dvds kind of bothered me? maybe I just wanted to do yoga?
not sure what I feel like doing yet, today. neither to be honest. LOL
my finger does not seem to be healing. if it is, it's very slow. it doesn't seem to be infected. (which is the main thing, right?) I'm sick of the bandage. especially doing dishes or the shower. oh, & typing too.
I feel silly & selfish now typing that. when there's alot worse things happening to other people.
whining about a cut finger:eek:
round & round meetings? meaning they go on forever? never heard of that term around here? round table of a whole lot of people? who have a turn?
Saundra, "you've got some explaining to do".
Saundra, you'd get your wear out of the rainjacket here. it's rained pretty much all week here. supposed to clear up this afternoon & stay sunny for a couple of days. which I'm really looking forward to.
Annette, that was a find! the Bodystep/Les Mills! I think that would go for a pretty penny alright on ebay.
I've never got my hands on one. I've only read about them. when you do it, post what it was like.
Diane, I keep my blades for 6 shaves. I read that in some magazine. that's what they recommended. I'm not a very hairy person, I think that would take into account some too?
if you don't change them often enough, the blades get dull & that's when you cut yourself, huh?
I think it was 5 or 6 shaves, they said.
your right, they are expensive. everything has gone up in price, hasn't it?
I haven't exactly been a saint in the eating department either. still trying to fight off my Haagen Daaz.
I'm finding it so hard to stay at my goal weight. maybe it's too low now for my age? soon as I get there, I get right back to 116 in a matter of days?
every week I fight the same 3 lbs!?
maybe there's truth to a person's setpoint?
Saundra, do you have plans to take another course after May?
I love Amy's haircut. it looks so cute on her. I just noticed it on one of her newer dvd covers.
I missed ANTM was it any good? did I miss anything?
sushi, blech! no way, no how.
I've tried it twice in my lifetime & did not care for it.
everytime DH eats it, "he's says try it!", "it's so good!". & then later complains he has a bellyache! LOL
I'll check on you all later. have a great day & weekend.

Hi Lori:
No sushi for me either. your better than me I wouldn't even try it one look at it and I said forget it.
I would love to be able to at least sleep in one of those days or even take a nap during the day.
What are you going to do about your fingers, My hand looks heeled but if I pick up something with to much weight on my finger I feel it.

Lori, round and round - going in circles - means that it goes on forever with no meaniful results.
Diane, I don't have a set number I keep my razors for. Usually I just looked at the razor and decide whether or not I want to chuck it or not.
Lori I like Amy's haircut too. She has had it for awhile now. I DVR ANTM. It was okay. NIjah (i think that's her name got sent home) I didn't think she was very good. It was runway day. The girls did a fashion show.
Annette, thanks for the articles. I don't really cook and certainly not from scratch. I like working my arms.
Lori, yes. Most likely I will take some type of course. I think I am going to look for another course in Website design. Hope the finger heals soon.
I am checking in with the FIRM the Hare.

Diane, sushi is worse than I thought it would be. LOL
I tried it a second time, because I was told, "I didn't eat the right kind".
uh-huh, still gross.
I'm pretty gain to try something at least once. on chance I might like it?
maybe the rebel in me? LOL
I've eaten horse meat once before too.
yesterday, I thought I might go to the clinic & have my finger looked at.
I thought it might be better today.
I'm such a chicken.
I'm sure I'll just keep whining about it. LOL
& BTW, your razor question wasn't stupid. I like it when you ask questions like that. all of us. it's fun & keeps thing interesting. we find out alot of stuff out.
how come you can't sleep in? ever?
I just finished an hour & half of yoga. LOL
now I'm eating ice cream for breakfast! when will I ever learn?
I better sign off & shower.
back later....

Saundra, we must have been posting at the same time. yours snuck in before mine.
I knew you'd take another course. good for you. our little genius. web design. right up your alley. I'm sure you'll love that. you'll be a rockstar at that one for sure!
Nijah, is she the one with the lion's hare mane? tall, super skinny. If it's who I'm thinking of...I'm disappointed. there are so many gorgeous girls. there's only a couple who don't look like top models to me?
oh shoot! I love the fashion shows. darn it.
gotta go...I'll be back in a couple hours....I have more to say....but, I'm meeting someone to take Cheemo for a walk. their banging on my door now. LOL

March 20th, 2009, 05:33 AM
Lori, I think that it Teyona that you are thinking up. Although Tyra made her go get her hair done. I really coudn't tell the difference.
I like web design. This class that I am in now, I really don't care for, although I like the instructor.
I think I am going to get stuck working late tonight. And I am so irritated. And everyone is telling me that my manager said that he would give me a ride home. First it is nice of them to tell me. Second I don't want to ride home with him, that's a 45 minute drive.
If they would have told me before I left home. I would have drove down here today. I don't leave my house to catch the train until 1030am. The train itself doesn't take off until 1105am. Everyone said they were discussuing this in the morning meeting which occurs at 830am. Surely they could have let me know. Stuff like this is when I start to get ticked off with this place.
Oh Lori, if you are thinking about having yoru finger looked at. I would go ahead and do it.
I was over at the Cathe forum and someone else said they through out their back doing STS. Her situation sounded worse than mine. She said she couldn't get off the floor.
Today the NCC (National Children's Center) is doing their donation drive by. I always try and usually have no problem in finding stuff to give away.
Today I gave away more VHS workouts, some audiobooks on cassette. (I usually only ever listen to the audiobook in the car - unless it is a really good story and then I will bring it into the house). Anyway both of my cars have CD players so I can't listen to the cassette books.
I gave away pillows, 4 or 5 pair or jeans, and an iron, and my vinyl weights. These were my first set of weights that I built up. Since then I have replaced all the sizes with hex dummbells.

Saundra, yes, I'm thinking about Teyona. I love her. her hair mostly. someone with poker straight hair...LOL
actually she reminds me of this gorgeous gal that used to come into my work & buy loads of MAC. she had the same hair & would complain. I'd trade with her in a minute & she said she would too. why do we always want what somebody else has? LOL....truly thinking the grass is greener?
I told her one day with my hair & she'd want her hair back!
my hair can get as limp as seaweed. LOL
I tried to google ANTM...I can't find a link with this years show? like last Wed's?
before you could watch it online? oh well, I'll see next week.
there's so many girls this year that look the same to me?
oh, I think I know who you mean now. really short hair right? the one who got alot of the extensions?
speaking of hair, I didn't like the hair makeovers as much this year. did you?
I didn't think they looked better.
some of the girls looked better before, especially the colors. why did they make everyone a blonde, this year? or so it seemed?
usually I'm so good at names? I think I know who you mean though.
hmmm...that's going to be a long course then. 2 more months. thankfully you like the instructor.
wow, you gave away alot of good stuff. they are gonna love all that stuff. your going to make alot of people happy with that load.
I love that feeling of giving. feels great.
I like the hexabells the best. their easy to hold. they look nice. I kept my set, but, haven't used them in quite awhile. but, I would never give those ones up either.
your work does sound awfully frustrating.
I couldn't agree with you more. they should have let you know beforehand.
I wouldn't want to have a 45 minute home ride with the boss.
I'd be doing a slow burn. definitely ticked off.
I figured that was what you meant with round table. not as dumb as I thought.
my fingers....ouch. this time I think I might have pressed my luck.
Saundra, I am such a wimp at the doctors. I do not want a needle. I'd rather suffer at home in agony.
no Annette, I don't want you to see it. I won't let DH see it! I know you would say the same thing he would say, like Saundra, go see a doctor.
like Diane said earlier, it is so sore to touch anything. even doing downward dog, I can feel the pressure on the tip.
the thing that I don't like, is it doesn't feel any better & I know it should by now?
it even hurts when I take the bandages off to replace.
now, I know I'd get a lecture for not going in sooner? oh well, I'll stop whining to you all. I was hoping it would have fused itself back together. LOL I don't think that's gonna happen?
one thing is, the throbbing has stopped. so there's improvement there?
I gotta go see if I can find Nijah somewhere? bugging the heck out of me now.
Lori
March 20th, 2009, 06:33 AM
FOUND IT! ya, Nijah...that's who I thought it was.
she reminds me of someone? I can't think of who it is? driving me crazy.
she's pretty. she wasn't very good? huh? go figure.

Lori:
You sound as bad as me I hate going to have anything checked. But I have hated going to the doctor, hospital since I was young, when I was seven I was in the hospital a lot I barely remember going to the second grade I don't know how I passed it.
Lori I rarely get to sleep in because my hubby is not to quite and out neighborhood had a lot of traffic so even it I fall back asleep traffic usually wakes me.
So Saundra how are you going to get home?
I have had no trouble with my back doing STS, but my hip flexer has been bothering me. But my problem might be not adding the extra stretch in but doing a workout for over an hour with abs added in I don't have the time to add another 20 minutes.
It's nice doing good deeds, a lady at Bed bath and Beyond was so happy I gave her one of those 20 % coupons the other day, I didn't think it was such a *** deal.
have you been watching Idol I didn't get into this year after watching in since season one.
Have you noticed any changes doing STS? besides your back that is.
Lori what kind of flowers do you plant?

Hi y'all,
No workout, wanted to. Plus my left ovary was acting up and my left knee. Always on the left, now I know how Paul felt with a thorn on his side. What is this, after my birthday, things start fallin' apart. Like a car being paid off and it dies after the warranty? :)
Dave just got new cordless phones with different ring tones, speaker phones and paging. Can't we just get a simple, plug in the wall phone, but nooooooo. The one in the kitchen has an answering machine, but no one ever calls that much plus it doesn't reach to the kitchen table where my lap top is.
Sorry to hear about the anniversary of the death, (HUGS).
Les Mills is waay expensive, what gets me in his book Globobesity is that he advocates clean eating, exercise, etc but you can't purchase his workouts. You have to go a gym to do. What sense does that make.
DAve made salmon and crab cakes, didn't have much of an appetite. Plus I had McDonald's fish sandwich for lunch I almost died when I paid 3.26 for it, minus the tartar sauce. That woman thought I was nuts. Which I am by the way! :D
Saundra, your manager has gotta be more organized and take into consideration of your commute. Gee what was he/she thinkin? Web Design would be great, Andrew took a class last semester in web design.
If I have any problems with tech stuff I just ask my kids! I have not a clue, that is for sure.
I told y'all about Goodwill and on Thursday-Sunday $1.00 clothing sale. I did find 2 pairs of workout pants but put them back. Target had some items there but I didn't get. But I did find a brand new Irish coffee mug, gift bags and calculator. That was my *** shopping spree for today. Plus I need to save money.
I hope I can go to garage "saleing" and workout tomorrow. I gotta clean, it looks like Worse Homes and Gardens!

Hi Ladies,
I am at work. I went left early and went and picked up my car and drove back down. I certainly didn't want to spend 45 mintues with my boss going to pick up my car. And yes I am charging them for the time it took to go and pick up my car and drive back down.
Lori, my earthboxes should be here. HSN shows them as being delivered. So they should be in front of my door when I get home. Hopefully that will be by 2am.
Diane, I feel stronger and I have an easier time getting through the workouts. I won't really do an assessment until after mesocycle 3. but even if you don't stretch the day of the sTS workout. I would try to do some stretching the next day.
Annette, you always find such good things on sale. I am bad. The only thing I refuse to by unless it is on sale is soda. However, lately in the sale prices of soda is ridicolous - not really a sale at all.
Alright. Let me go back to work. Maybe I will get out of here sooner.

LMAO....Saundra, I loved reading you went & got your car!
I wonder what your earthboxes look like?
that poor gal with the hurt back (doing STS)....I know, I've read quite mixed stuff now, on the STS front.
you & Diane be careful.
Diane, I usually plant petunias, marigolds, dusty miller, pansies, begonias, lobelia & geraniums. I pretty much have it all down to a science now. change the color schemes every year.
I used to go all out, when we first moved here. we had way b.igger flower beds.
a few years ago, we really downsized them.
every year it costs more & more for flowers. it can get up there.
my DH is so noisy too. I hate that! why is that?! I'm not like that when he's sleeping. I try to be so quiet.
DH is banging doors, cupboards....tv blaring. it's almost like it's deliberate!
I feel sorry for you. you must get so tired. especially watching the kids all week. that's hard.
I slept in till 7:30 (I know, not what you want to hear). I went to bed at 10 last night. I don't sleep in very often. I just really needed it. but, usually when I do, I have trouble falling asleep the next night?
I hate hospitals. I can count on one hand, how many times I've been in a hospital! (visiting)
you poor thing. what was wrong with you?
I hate the smell of hospitals.
I don't like going to the doctor, because they always find something wrong with you!? LOL I'm not a b.ig fan of pills.
I feel good, try & do my best to not have to go to the doctor.
I go once a year. that's it. no kidding.
Annette, you know, that was a very good point you made about Les Mills.
I never thought about it, like that. why was/is his workouts so unattainable to the average joe? like he keeps this b.ig secret to instructors?
geesh, Annette! the tartar sauce is the best part of the sandwiche!? oh, your arteries are thanking you, though.
& no kidding about kids knowing more than the adults now! my goodness, they are so brillant compared to what I knew at that age!
my neices & nephews b.low me away sometimes.
have a nice weekend everyone.

What are dusty miller and lobelia or I should say what do they look like?
I did get to sleep until 7:00 this morning but I went to sleep later than you did.
tried to snooze a little longer but hubby nkept walking in and out.
Annette I hope you are feeling better.
Saundra I noticed the soda sale prices going up to, but we do have a descent
sale on Pepsi this week 4/10.00 at Stop and shop plus my son works there so we get an extra 5% off.
have a great weekend
no workout today I might clean the car.

Diane, dusty miller is very pretty. I like to mix it in with other flowers. in the summer I'll definitely take a picture so you can check it out.
I think it was bred here, if I'm not mistaken. no actual flower on it. hmmm, to describe it, it's very delicate & almost lace like. & it has a silver gray-dust on it. a soft minty background.
lovely in beds or borders & pots.
nice with red or pinks.
almost fern like.
lobelia is what you always see in hanging baskets or window boxes. those tiny trailing little flowers.
either in white, pink, or usually a vibrant purple, saphhire. loads of them & very full.
I have a rose garden with some azaleas, & some other perennials.
a currant bush & a couple of lilac trees. hydrangeas.
but, it's the annuals I love looking forward to gardening. always brighter colors.
I'll for sure take pictures.
already our grass is starting to grow. I'm sure I'll be cutting it soon.
& I see our blackberry bushes have started to sprout some leaves.
at our old house, I had bulbs. I was really into tulips & daffodils. crocus, & gladiolus.
I had so many dahlias. they were so pretty as cut flowers. peonies.
we had some pretty nice trees there too. b.igger property.
a lovely willow tree & rhododendrons. junipers.
we kept our old place nicer. LOL
it's alot of work.
got the dog, & he kind of takes up alot of my time.
DH hates yard work & it's hard to do by myself.
DH always complains to me about how nice our gardens used to be! I say I'm tired of doing it all by myself! that shuts him up. LOL
how about you?
just finished lunch. Saundra's tuna, egg white, cheddar & relish on toast sandwiches. man, those are good! they have become a weekend ritual for us! we both love them. haven't got enough of em' yet.
glorious day outside. sunny & warm. feels like spring.
catch you all later.

Hi y'all,
I forgot to add about the razors, I usually get the gizzillion pack for 1.00. In the winter I don't shave as much as it gets warmer. Plus Katie and I use the gizzillion pack, Dave gets the expensive razors and Andrew hasn't started shavin' yet. Thank goodness. We are in the "Axe" stage with Andrew. LOL
Saundra, glad you were able to go and get car. I hope you get your items from HSN.
Lori, Les Mills has great workouts, and has just come out with cardio/weights. What took him sooo long to figure that out, I'll never know. Gold's Gym offers cardio/weights at 5:30am but I am too much of cheapskate plus can't afford gym memebership. Gold's and Y are the closest to me. I wouldn't occassionaly goin' to the gym just to watch my form etc.
Diane, thanks I do feel a little bit better. I took a loooong power nap. Groceries are so expensive. I know I must spend at least 20.00 every other day getting groceries. I try and get my meat on sale. Still....
I love planting begonias on the side yard where we park. Dave and the kids usually plant the perninnals outside. Did you see that Michelle O. is planting gardens, reminds me of what I read about Victory Gardens long time ago. My grandmother had a garden.
I did find a case of Hammerill paper for 5.00. A pair of turquoise mules for 2.00 and pair of black sling backs which Katie wants for 3.00. A pair of pants 1.00 and vhs cases 8 for 1.00. I needed those vhs cases to put my rare/oop Firms in. I went to 2 neighborhoods today. I should have asked about those selectech weights, patio furniture and fire pit. I want to put a fire pit where the pool was and make that pretty. Oh well.
I did clean up or as I call it move dust around this morning, now I need to mop, I think that counts as a workout.
I got Triscuits with cracked pepper the other day, they are pretty good, I had those with cheese and salami and you guessed right if you thought DAve got the salami :D
It is cooler here but sun is out. People in NY are getting snow. We are going later on to the church St. Patty's Day meal.
Y'all have a great day!
Lori
March 21st, 2009, 10:41 AM
Annette, I wish I could have hung out with you today. sounds like you had fun.
I'd love to go shopping with you.
LOL, the Axe stage. DH uses it after hockey. I actually like it.
I haven't had Triscuts in ages. I was addicted to those at one time.
I'll have to check, I don't think we have peppered flavored here.
that sounds good, sausage & cheese on Triscuts. I could eat some right now!
I know what you mean, grocery shopping!! I've tried to cut down. I had friends over a couple nights a week for dinner & DH's buddies & man my bills were getting right up there! I got to thinking, no wonder they keep coming over here & eating me out of house & home!?
I try & go only once a week, which helps. but, sometimes I run out of fruit or you feel like some kind of treat & I end up dropping another $40!
snow...eww...it's snowed this morning on Vancouver Island too. poor souls.
have a nice dinner tonite Annette at your church.
Saundra, you working hard or what?
crm549
March 21st, 2009, 11:36 AM
Lori not working hard, just sleeping. I didn't get home until 230am. A friend of who was over in Iraq came to visit and we went out to lunch. And then I went to class only to find out that when I got there, there was a sign on the door stating no class today. I wasn't upset at all. Came home and went to sleep.
I did get my earthboxes. I was telling my friend, her name is Drew, she knows me very well. She is like Saundra you should just send those things back. You know you don't like doing stuff like that. I told her it was suppose to be easy. Then she started asking all these question (she is an avid gardner too). She is the one who planted the flowers in my front yard. But of course I hadn't thought that far ahead about what I wanted to do other than to grow cherries and oranges.
Anyway, I won't get to it the boxes this weekend but I will try to get it done next weekend. I am on call next weekend so we will see.
Lori, glad you are loving the tuna. I think you have eaten it more times than I have this year.
Diane, the sale prices are like 3 for $12.00. That's $4.00 a case. To many that is not a sale when the case cost $4.88. Although even the regular prices has risen. Safeway has 12 packs regularly price at $5.69. Outrageous. I almost never shop at Safeway anymore. Everything is price to high there.
Annette, I need to move some dust around. I still haven't clean up the main level of my house. I really need to do it tonight. so I won't have to do anything tomorrow. And I just remembered that I have clothes in the wash - that I put in around 8am and I haven't put them in the dryer yet.
Off I go.....

Hi y'all,
We had a nice dinner yesterday, they even had green beer, but I didn't drink any. I was tired. Then I went to my neighbors and had a beer outside by her outdoor fire pit. Watched House Hunters, love that show.
Fruit, veggies and meat are the most expensive. I try and get fruit on sale. Ditto for meat and sometimes veggies. But the mainstay for me are the pre-mixed salad mixes, I like to get those on sale. I think Publix is expensive. But they have great deals on salad mixes, I usually go to Food Lion.
Went to 8:00 came home and did 3 days of More 5 Day Abs and Boomers. I put on my knee brace. I can't find the other softer knee brace to save to my life. It is somewhere that is for sure.
I'll do Core Cardio 2 when they go to afternoon Mass. Cooking dinner and preparing to take a power nap. I am so dang on tired, it ain't evvvvven funny.
I did find Bobby Brown's "Don't Be Cruel" cd for 1.00, I am only 20 years late :D
Saundra, did you have a good lunch, glad y'all were able to catch up.
Lori, I heard on the John Tesh show going to church this morning that cherry pie is good for you! Something about preventing arteries from clogging. But have just a little bit though.
Diane, I hope it is sunny where you are. And having a nice relaxin' day!
Lori

Annette, that is creepy...that Bobby Brown cd is my all time favorite cd's. I love that cd! every single song is good on it. I know that cd better than the back of my hand! (too bad Bobby Brown messed his life up) (although he seems to be back on track?)
I love his voice. awesome! awesome cd.
the videos were so cool too, back in the day! LOL
cherry pie, yum. I made 2, right after Christmas. had a craving for them
no Triscuts peppered here. just the originals & some less-salted version.:(
guess, I'll have to put some cracked pepper on my cheese. LOL
of course you got me craving some Triscuts with cheese & sausage now.
bought the originals. not salami, but beer sausage...LOL
I can imagine what it's like trying to feed a starving boy like Andrew & a teenage girl. your grocery bills must not been fun either.

Okay I just ordered Cathe new system. This one is called STS Shock Cardio system. It is suppose to come with 11 different cardio workouts. And if we pre-order by March 31st, the cost is $99. I didn't even have to think twice about it.
Today I did my 3 mile course. Time finish was 37:18.
I sent you all some picutures.
For the most part is has been another lazy day for me.

$99 for 11 cardio workouts! that is a deal. how could you possibly pass that up? (seriously)
wonder when you'll get them? Cathe must have listened to everybody really wanting & needing these. wonderful news.

Hi Ladies.
It is a beautiful if not chilly day here in Washington DC.
Lori, you are right. Apparently Cathe listened to everyone cardio wants and is giving a little bit of everything. I am most looking forward to Mix Martial Arts workouts. And I agree, I think $99 is a great price. The 11 workouts are suppose to range in time from 20 minutes to 55 minutes. If you pre-order the workouts by March 31, she is going to give us a bonus Travel workout that uses the band. I don't really care about that workout, but it is still a nice gesture.
And yes I love my Mariner. And I like the color too. Although I originally wanted black but the dealer I went to didn't have it in stock and I didn't feel like looking or waiting around for it, so I took the red and I like it very much.
The only thing I wish was that I got heated seats.
I am checking in with select exercises from STS Disc 19, 20, & 21.
Oh I will probably put the earthboxes on my back deck.

Hi y'all,
Lori, That is one of those twilight things about Bobby Brown. I played it cd player today with my sunroof open. It was about in the 70's today. I did lay down a little bit today before going to work. I really am thinking about getting my ovary and hysteromecy done. I can't stand the bloat and the pain. I took one viadane and 3 midols to get rid of the pain, still had a little pain this morning. But by that time it was mind over matter.
Saundra, I have heated seats in my car but very seldom do I use them because I have pillows in my seat. Most cars to me the seats are too low. A friend of mine called them my booster seat! :D My neighbor who has the same house plan with modifications works for Ford Credit, and they have the Mariners. He also has the Ford 500.
Cathe's dvds come out to be about 10.00 a piece, how much was shipping/handling? I saw that announcement. Also Tracie Long is coming out with new dvds. I am sooo glad I still have more weight to lose :D
I did The Hare today and Lisa's The Bean, 7 Minute Abs, could really feel my abs after I got up. That is for sure.
Diane, I hope you are havin' a great day!
Lori
March 23rd, 2009, 08:36 AM
I like the color you choose better than black. more flashy. stands out more.
looks expensive. not the same old, same old basic black.
the earthboxes will be nice on a deck. especially with some trees.
Annette, you poor thing. I can't imagine the pain. I was whining with a cut finger. are you going to go to a doctor soon?
does exercising ease the pain or is it agony to workout with the pain?
heated seats sure would have been nice this past winter.
where is Diane? she hasn't posted for days?
crm549
March 23rd, 2009, 10:55 AM
Annette, sorry to hear you are in pain. I hope you feel better soon. Where did you hear about Tracey Long's workouts.
Lori, actaully I didn't know what I was missing until I had caught a ride with a co-worker and she had heated seats. I like this is nice. I should have gotten that feature.
Almost time to go ahead. Today's work day actually went quickly.
Oh Annette S&H for me was $9 bucks but I opted for UPS. It would have been cheaper going with USPS. I think it depends where you live as to how much it is going to cost.

Hi Ladies:
Saundra I am going to pre-order to.
How are your flowers so b.ig already, ours have just started growing.
I like color of your car also, but I do love the black, when we were getting my previous car I picked a different color for a change but then changed my mind back to the black.
Saundra I actually have a funny story about heated seats I was going to PA to Hershey Park with my sister and her family and my friends daughter, and we are chatting away and my friends daughter Amanda is figitting in her seat and I asked her what was wrong and she said her b.utt was getting hot, one of the kids turned on the heat for her seat, it was very funny at the time.
Lori I was a little busy, I got into taking apart the dishwasher to clean and the gunk out of it, because the glasses have always been dirty lately and it was making a funny sound, well I out it back together and the funny sound was still happenning so I took it apart again but this time I waited for my husband to take a look at it, he was able to take another piece off that I was not able to and it was a stupid little metal ball making all of the noise everytime I used the dishwasher.
I never got around to cleaning my car it was colder here on Saturday than I thought it was going to be so thats when I decided to do the dishwasher thing.
Annette just did Core Cardio 2 and More 5 day abs yesterday, I haven't done that one in a while huffing and buffing away. Another buffing away today I decided to do Imax 3 only the 37 minute premix though.
Nat is going to a wake tomorrow that I couldn't even bring myself to go to, he said his sister is going with him and its fine. A friend of his, sister had a baby a month ago and it was born with heart problems and he/she (not sure) died over the weekend. Appartenly they knew there was problems before the baby was born, I don't know the whole story I am sure Nat will tell me more tomorrow.
A little up date on the house we actually have water and over the weekend I got into planting some flowers also, Lori don't ask, I don't remember what they are.

Diane, so nice to hear from you! you've been busy!
that is funny..(my b.utt is getting hot story)
that is so sad about the little baby.
the heated seats would sure feel nice too, after a long day at work, from standing all day.

Diane that is funny about the seat. My friend Drew planted the flowers last year. So each year they are suppose to grow. I just need to pull the weeds out and water them. Last year they grew very tall. I did remember to water them this morning.
Ladies, This morning I had grill chicken and salad for a meal. Do you all grill your chicken? If so, how long does it normally take. I swear it took me almost 25 to 30 minutes to grill the chicken so it was done all the way through. The next I have it, I am going to try boiling the chicken and then grilling it? What do you think?
Diane, only I time I wish I got black, is when I see another shiny black SUV with tinted windows. I do think it is a cool look.
And I don't think I would be able to go to the funeral either. Sorry to hear about that.
Checking in today with 30 minutes on the treadmill. I started off doing an IFIT L2 Workout 3 but the SD Card reset on me 13 minutes into the program so I just finish doing my own stuff.

Saundra, that sounds about right (25 minutes). was it pretty thick?
if you pound it out flat some, it will cook quicker.
sure, you could boil it for quicker cook time.
I usually bake my chicken. for fajitas, chicken salads & such. takes longer.
you can buy chicken strips now. & a whole roast chicken (now, that's really cheating), but very easy. LOL
me too, an hour on the treadmill.

Hi y'all,
Sorry to hear about the death Diane. A friend of mine emailed me today, her mother in law died. (hugs).
I have a heated seat story as well, a friend of mine has heated seats and was taking a girl home. The poor girl thought she had wet herself because the seats were so hot and she was too embrassed to ask how to turn down the seats.
I usually grill chicken either in the oven with the broiler and/or on my Geo Foreman grill. I also like to flash fry chicken in my skillet and then bake.
I did Core Cardio 2 the other day, not as tough as Core Cardio 1. Today I did 4th day of More 5 Day Abs and Firm Strength with Pam. She has a great upper body workout.
My fav color is blue and when I we were lookin' for my other mommy mobile I insisted on a blue car with a sunroof. At least I can pretend I was in a convertible with a sunroof!
My knee feels a tad bit better, I put on my Nike brace, can't find my softer brace from Dollar Tree to save my life. About every few months I keel over in pain. And how said being a woman is easy and who said it gets easier as we age. I'll look to hit them over the head with sculpting stick, that is for sure!

Well Annette you have to let me know how you like all these workouts if you get them. I will try to check Stephanie out on QVC. I will have to DVR it. I certainly wish her success.
Lori, the chicken breast was pretty thick. Certainly in one part of the chicken it was. I think what I will do is boil it the night before and then marinated it overnight and then grill it the next morning.
Annette, I love my sunroof. Athough the winter before this winter, I dump a whole bunch of snow on my head. I thought I was turning on the overhead light but I push the sunroof ****on instead.
Checking in this morning with 10 Minute Solution Slim & Sculpt Pilates.
I was late getting home from work yesterday so I didn't get to watch what happen on American Idol.

Hi y'all,
I have left my sunroof open when it rained, luckly it was light rain.
I need someone to tape both segaments for me, and I'll send the dvd/cd.
Today I did Volume 2 and that was it. This is the last week of 90 Day for me.
Last night I went to CAbi clothing show. It is like a Mary Kay but for clothes. They were pricey and I didn't get anything. But my neighbor had all kinds of goodies, wine and beer, had a nice time with the girls though!
I love rotesserie chicken and Krogers has the cheapest at 4.99 or so, and they have all different types of flavors. My weakness is fried chicken from the gas station-yep gas station and Walmart. Then I just add veggies.
It is overcast, cooler here. Hope y'all are havin' a great day!
crm549
March 25th, 2009, 08:58 AM
Annette I will try to do that for you. I have a DVR. So I have to figure out how to get it from the DVR to the DVD. But remind me when the time comes because I am liable to forget.
I snapped at my boss today. It been one of the days that you wish people would leave you alone. I probably should have stayed home today. I am tired and sleepy.
Annette, I had fried chicken the other day from Popeyes. The Popeyes where I live have the worse (translated to mean slowest) service of any restaurant I know. I would go to KFC but they are much further away.
I have two more hours of work and hopefully no one will bug me until it is time for me to go.
Lori so how many more Yoga workouts do you have left to do. And then do you plan to start all over and do them again.

oh, don't even talk about yoga. LOL don't even go there. you won't believe what I've been up to! LOL
I gave a bunch of my yoga dvds away.
I had only 2 dvd's left to do. (well one dvd has several workouts that I didn't do on it yet, but, I did do half of them).
it just got all so repetitive.
so in a word, NO, I won't be doing them again.

Saundra you would love my Trailblazer then, the only thing we changed was the seats, we added the leather seats after, the orginal seats were a gold /tan colored cloth that got dirty easy. I have a sunroof also. I miss it when I drive the car.
I snapped at my niece today also she just kept pushing those b.uttons today when she slammed her bedroom door on my wrist was the last straw I let her have it. I think I did more than snap though it full blown yell feast.
Did you figure out you didn't miss American Idol because of the President was on instead?
Annette I haven't left my sunroof open, but while I was driving I had trouble with birds and their dropping and leaves flying in and scaring the heck out of me and bees of course.
Core cardio 1 the jumps are just to much sometimes.

That's cool Lori. I wish they had clips up so you can preview a workout. And this no clip thing is starting to become my pet peeve. I can see if you are a multivendor store but if you are a 1 product/system person/business, you definately should have clips up to promote what you are selling.
Annette, tracie's tracielongtraining site doesn't exist anymore. When you try to go there it redirects you to bluefishclub.com
Oh Lori I saw the pictures of Cheemo on my Iphone. he looks cute as a ****on. I saw the email with the pictures first and then I saw the first email you sent. So at first I didn't understand what had happen to him. I was like what's wrong with his ears? :) What has his momma done to him? lol
Diane, I think children require such patience, but it doesn't sound like she is always like that. Do you think it is because you have been spending so much time together.
I just saw my electric/gas bill and it is $168 bucks. Last month it was $170. I thought it definately should have been alot cheaper than $168 because almost half the month I didn't even have the heat on because it became really warm. I do have it on now. We have been averaging in the mid 40 here this past week.
Alright, I guess I will go back to work.

TLT used to have a great forum. a bunch of girls ruined it with their nastyness & Tracie never posted anymore. they it just fell to the wayside. sad.

It must be in the air, I snapped at Katie, then Dave snapped at me. So don't feel rained on. Sometimes we just need to let it go!!
Saundra, someone else wrote that TLT does link to BlueFish.
Lori, I agree that is really sad about what they write about instructors, who give their heart and soul into helping others workout. I got your email about pic but couldn't open it,maybe tomorrow. My laptop gets wishywashy at times.
Diane knock on the dowel, I haven't had bird poop but a few insects. I guess I blew them out with my loud music.
I heard great things about Classical Stretch. Yoga does get kinda of repetivitve I totally agree. I do need to get back into them though.

Annette, you reminded me of when I got stung by a bee in the car.
I was stuck in traffic & felt something crawling on my neck. it was a bee. I got stung.
I swell up terribly from beestings.
long story short.
I was sitting in traffic, crying & people were crawling past me, looking at me. LOL
by myself blubbering like a cry baby. I'm sure they were wondering what my problem was?! LOL
I agree, sometimes you just need to let off. snapping is alright in my books.
Annette, people don't only let off on instructors, I can't believe how nasty they can be to complete strangers online. whatever happened to being polite or manners? & why do they have to be so vicious. I'm still old school. if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it.
besides, I don't appreciate going online & reading a whole lot of negativity.
I can re-send the pic's. your not really missing much. but, let me know.
CS are different. I like the newer ones. working my way through them. like anything else, some are better than others. but, thoroughly enjoying them.
attention span of a flea, I've told you before, so I'm sure eventually the novelty will wear off. LOL
I do like the fluidity of the movements. cueing could be better on some of the dvds. all in all, I still rate them highly. if you like those kind of workouts.

Saundra if you can get into Firm Yayas, you get Cathe's cheaper. I found one at the Thrift Store.
My heart and soul wanted to workout, had Lean to do but I took a little catnap instead. I know I am so bad. :D
We are havin veggie pizza with shrimp tonight. It sounds good hope it tastes good.
I survived Walmart yesterday, and yes I confess I did get the fried chicken. :D
I do have a Fluidity and I am glad I only paid 20 or 25 for it, I used it few times.
Oh I found today a beautiful blue rug on the side of the road, yep I picked it up. It needs a good cleaning. Also found a bottle rack at the liquour store, that I am going to use for storage. I been looking for another large rug to go out in the garage. I love great finds! And all free to boot!

Believe it or not we are going to look at kitchens for my house during that week I am not sure what I want for cabinets, my appliances are going to be black, so I am not sure of the color of the wood for the cabinets. As you can see by now I like black I like how it looks when its clean.

Hi y'all again,
Diane glad you are feelin' better. I still have vhs on Firms, Fitprimes, etc., as well as dvds.
I ended up doin' Lean after all and feel so much better for doin' it. I fixin' to eat, pizza with shrimp and leftover salmon. Yep we observe Lent with no meat. Actually I do feel better when I go meatless for one day. But Dave is such a meat/potates person.
Saundra I hope you don't get wet! I noticed today Andrew left his jacket. Glad it cleared before he got home. It is clearing up here, my task is clean the rug tomorrow.
I have found other misc items, like a small rack that I put on 2 milk crates to use as an improtu shelve in the kids closest. And a large rack of some sort that I put my TF, Wedge, The Step and risers. I am not sure what I am goin' to do with the bottle rack, it is tall.
I also found at a garage sale a metal cd/dvd holder, I turned and made a plant stand out of it.
Did I tell ya' I found 2 risers for 1.00 at the Thrift Shop. So excited about that find!
Lori, I have black laminate counters with white kitchen cabinets. Those cabinets are a pain in the rear to keep clean. I wish I could get rid of them. I do have a black dishwasher which I love. Since my stove/oven is still good, I am not gettin' anyone of those soon, but it is white.
My microwave which is too *** because Dave is short is black. The refrig has stainless steel front with black sides. I don't care for the stainless steel about as hard to clean as the white cabinets. I keep windex to clean.
Y'all know how I hate to clean :D I think a medium or darker wood would go with black appliances. Also depends on paint color. My kitchen is painted a khaki color and wish I can finish painting the rest of the house khaki. I would love to pull up the rest of my carpet and put down floors. And re do the bathrooms. I love to wish, don't I! :D
Y'all have a great night!

I have all black appliances in my kitchen. I will take pictures and post them. I like the black but I think I have to much black - either as furnitur or accent pieces. I don't mind stainless but given the choice I would probably go for something else. I think if I were to choose today I would choose bisque as the color of my appliances.

It is a wet day here in Baltimore. I did manage to sleep in a little. I didn't want to get up and come to class.
Diane, I am going to cancel my monthly subscription but keep my Etools subscription. I do like going to the website from time to time.
I am slowly getting rid of all my VHS workouts. I do still have a lot of movies on VHS though. Whenever I see the DVD of the version priced really cheaply I try to grab it. Although in reality I rarely watch most of the movies anymore and probably wouldn't miss it if I just gave it away.
My problem is I am such a pack rat. I just have stuff and I can always find a reason for not parting with it. When I get home from class, I think I am going to try to weed my way through some of the movies.
Annette, what step size were the two riser for. I can always use extra risers because I like my bench to more up off the floor.
I can tell that Facebook is really popular. I was reading Cathe lastes email and in it she stated checkout Facebook and Twitter for daily update and of course I am thinking what the heck is your forum for. Quite frankly it ticks me off. Do you know how many forums I belong too? I do not want to join something else.

forgot to answer your question Diane, about the peach tree.
no, I've never grown my own peach tree.
all I remember was my dad making us kids climb the peach trees with brooms & swatting out caterpillar nests. he'd freak if he saw any nests in them.
we never sprayed or used any chemicals on any of our fruit trees. everything grown organically.
what's wrong with yours? does it need pruning? I can ask my mom. I know some trees you have to make sure to "thin" the fruit out when you pick them. like apple trees.

I am pretty bad with the black also my dinning room is black also, I wish the seats were black, they are white I am always trying to keep them clean especially after my cat sits on them, or most of her hair is black.
Hi Annette hope you had a great Saturday, did you have any trouble with the weather? I saw something on the news but didn't know if it was near you.

oh, Diane, you have a problem. my mom thinks it sounds like peach black-spot disease, or another common name is s.hot hole.
it's a bacterial disease that hit peach trees only on the east & central coast.:(
once your trees are diseased there isn't even a chemical that can really cure it. check your nursery to make sure that's what it is.
do you have other fruit trees near it? because it can spread.
organically, just lots of TLC. that's it. no pesticides or chemicals. hand cared for. natural compost.
which you got me to thinking of a favorite childhood dessert. we'd half a peach the sizes of grapefruits & sprinkle with cinnamon & then stick a couple of b.ig marshmellows in the center & broil them. yum.
& I agree with you Diane, I love coming & visiting this forum. you 3 are great online friends.

Ditto Lori.
Lori, that is so hard. Probably Sean Connery followed by Pierce Brosnan. But I like Roger Moore too. Yep it is hard. I didn't think I would like Daniel Craig. I think he is too short but I like him well enough in Casino Royale. I haven't watch Quatum of Solace yet.
Yes Lori send us pictures. I will try to send some too.
Diane, when I was at Wal-Mart yesterday I saw a black baker rack that I thought would look cool in my kitchen. I have a baker's rack already but I restained the wood and didn't do a very good job. The only thing about the baker's rack at WalMart was that it didn't come with hooks for me to hang my mugs on. I actually would have gotten it last night except for the fact that they didn't have any in stock but they had the display up. Can I say the blender situation all over again.

This morning's run was 37:50. Not as good as last weeks. Actually as soon as I took off I knew it was going to be tough going. I kind of had to muscle through it. There is always one part were the path goes up hill, I hate that part. I always have to lean my body forward to really run through that part.
Other than that nothing else to report. It is still raining and my flowers are loving it because they are really blooming (if that is the right term) although a couple of them are limp. If I go back outside, I will take a picture.
Right now I think I am going to go and crawl back in my bed.

Hi y'all,
I totally agree with best friends on the forum!! Raising my weights up to ya!
What I was tryin' to write after too (My microwave which is too *** because Dave is short is black) was large or ***.
I did the CLX sampler, lot of compounds moves that weren't bad. Also did V4 Crunch Time and added abs today. I finished the 90 Day Rotation! This week I am goin' to try splits with cardio and then decide on another rotation.
Dave has been in snit lately. MEN
I was reading on Craigslist about a weight rack, mine is too *** large because DAVe got it, so I am waiting to hear back if I can sell mine and get a smaller one.
Yes it did rain here yesterday and windy today. Something just fell over, I am not sure what it is. I did manage to go garage "saleing" yesterday before it rained, plus I had to take Katie and friends to church so they could do service project.
I found 3 workout shirts, all organic cotton, pair of yoga pants, a wedding present (photo album), a small journal which I gave to Katie's friend, a Clinque sampler of soap. I think I did pretty well. Came home and took a nap, did errands and moved dust around! I do need to get rid of clutter that is for sure!
Solace is on Icontrol but they ended up watching Hancock. I stretched across the bed and watched HGTV and FitTV. :D
Hope y'all have a great day!

Annette I swear I think men have their own PMS. Annette are you trying to write b.ig?
Saundra I started the 2nd Metrocycle, for some reason the rest in between felt to long except maybe when I was changing weights on the barbell. Do you have a pull up bar or do you use the tubing?
As for Walmart thats why I end up online ordering things a lot of the time, I finding it frustrating especially when you are going there specifically for a certain item and they don't have it. The supermarkets are good for that around here also.

March 30th, 2009, 03:35 AM
Well unfortunately I did have to get up. I had a dental appointment at 930. I have to have gum surgery - forget the technical term. I would have love to come back after my appointment and go to bed but I had to come to work.
Lori, I watch Quatum of Solace last night. I thought it was good. I was actually watching it while I was working on my database. I didn't get much done on the database during that time. I can do without all the car chase scences. Nowadays one car chase in a movie looks just like another.
Annette, I used to love watching HGTV but I havn't watch it in awhile. What is the CLX sampler?
Diane, the rest periods are for recovery. If you are lifting very heavy you need the rest. At first I thought they were too long but as I haven't gone through the program, I have appreciated the long rest. A couple of times I didn't feel they were long enough.
Oh these people at work in my office are talking and breaking my concentration.
I will chat later.

Hi y'all,
Got Get Chiseled today and of course I had to do it. Lots of compound weight work with cardio intervals. It is good for a change of pace. Added abs.
Saundra, insurance companies, UGGGH! I love HGTV especially House Hunters.
Lori, I did get your pics. Thanks, such a ham!
Diane, I think I was trying to write b.ig or large. Can't remember, :D Y'all must have gotten our rain from this weekend. We needed and it washed some of the pollen.
The flowers are showin' out here, the azaleas, look wonderful!
The CLX sampler was given prior to the CLX, it just has about 10 minutes of one of Chaleans. I am not sure which one, I just recall it was compound weights done slow. I could have done heavier but it was my first time through.
Yep MENopause is called that for a reason as well as MEANopause. I think I need to get the movie, Grouchy Old Men! :D LOL

Diane she is releases the 3 FIRM Basics workouts and Cardio Burn with Tamela Hastie. Although I thought Cardio Burn had previously been released on DVD.
The release date is suppose to be late summer.
Well it is too bad that they renamed Power Cardio - Calorie Killer 2. Otherwise Anna could have release that workout with Maximum Cardio for a nice 3 pack set.
I liked the FIRM Basic workouts but I never do them anymore. I wonder if Anna is going to keep the same Purple, Red and Blue backgrounds for the FIRM Basic workouts.

Hi y'all,
Yep our flowers are showin' out here! I guess all the rain we had, supposed to get more tomorrow. I hope it clears up for the walk on Friday morning though. I did do a split workout cardio and shoulders. I am sooooo done. The library called about a workout, I wonder which one? I had Shred and Results on hold.
Saundra, sorry you had to get called into work. I meant to ask you about the risers, in my "hunting" for bargains, did you want me to look for some. The ones I got are pink that fit the original Step.
Diane, the flowers are nice but the pollen. It is everywhere. Talk about looking through yellow tinted glasses! But I couldn't resist crackin' the sunroof.
Lori, hope you are doin' okay.
I organized the play room somewhat. The liquor store/bottle rack has some of my items on it. And I moved things around to appear to have more space. Low and behold as I was organizing I found those Basics/Beginner workouts that Anna is releasing on dvd.
Power Cardio 2 with Dale packs alot in for under 45 minutes, I am usually drenched.

I was supposed to walk with a friend today but she ditched me again a little annoyed because I was waiting for her I ended up cleaning up and raking outside. Last week she did the same thing asked me to go for a walk and not show up.
Annette some of our flowers are just starting to pop out. the raking of the old leaves are giving me the sneezes.
Saundra do you know how many Firms are still not on DVD? I still have some that are on video that I know are on dvd.

Hi ladies:
Feeling tired today also, a little rainy here today didn't help.
Lori we usually plant onion, potatoes, tomatoes cucumbers, peppers I like the red ones but so far not luck, we paid extra for the red pepper plants last here but they ended up being green. we also do zucchini and string beans and those long beans oh and one of my favorites eggplant.
Saundra feeling wiped out today that last workout for STS really got to the muscles I wasn't feeling it yesterday but as the day wore on today I was feeling sore.
I am sure digging up the garden last evening didn't help.
Lori I am more of a glower than a sweater, it takes a lot for me to get up a good sweat or a hot summers day.

Hi y'all,
I sweat, forget the "glow" and it doesn't help with the hot flashes. I have started using men's deodrant/antiperpesiant especially in the summer.
Saundra, I think you got them all. It looks right at least. You are a good woman planning your rotations. There is a lower body blast rotation I will try next. Okay I was a little early for Wednesday....
Diane, Dave cut the grass last week and trimmed back some of the bushes, my hydregana's haven't budded yet. And get this, we are supposed to have frost in the upcoming week. The sun shined today, expecting rain, still used my knee brace, I found it when I was cleaning up. We usually plant something on Good Friday.
Sorry your friend didn't show up but you got great exercise.
Lori, I thought about you today, looking at my yoga workouts and the BL while I was doing 30 Day Shred with Jullian Michaels. It is 3 levels of 20 minute workouts. Within those 3 levels: warmup/cool down, strength, cardio and abs. The eejit that I am, I did all 3 Levels.

Katie will probably have nightmares.
my FIL still can't breathe on his own. he has moved his arms & legs. (more like twitching). his eyes open halfway.
not good really. no real improvement. but stable.
still doesn't know who's in the room with him.
my BIL keeps saying, "he's a goner" & "he's done". (how would you like this BIL in your camp?)

good morning everybody:)
let's start this day better off than yesterday?!
I had major DOMS this morning in my arms, shoulders & inner thighs...some even in the glutes!
go figure! who would have thunk? just from doing a Classical Stretch dvd.
I'm really into these dvds now.
so much so, I bought/ordered the text book. it's for an instructors course on teaching CS. not that I want to be an instructor. I'm just really fascinated by the teachings of this technique & am very insterested in learning more in depth.
wasn't too happy about paying $70 for it, but, I figure it will be one of those texts that you will go back to alot for referencing. (I hope)
Saundra, that BIL is always like that. he's the kind of guy, you really don't want on your team for sure. very negative person. he's the oldest & I think he thinks he's the wisest? your right, that's what DH said basically. even if you think that, it's not really appropriate right now to just say something like that.
keep your thoughts to yourself. even if everybody knows it.
oh well, I just feel sad for my FIL. he's old now & been through alot.
Diane, long beans...you mean fava beans?
I haven't watched ANTM for 2 weeks Saundra. hockey game always on. I've seen clips & it seems like it's been pretty heated with the girls?
my coffee's are drunk. off to try another CS workout. supposedly the hardest of the bunch. see if I can get through it. Saundra, you'd be interested to know, there are 1/2 a dozen of Canadian Olympians on this dvd. geared for athletes.
it has a bonus section on how to do the full splits. (that should be a laugh on my part:eek: )
catch up to all in awhile.
Lori
April 2nd, 2009, 02:18 AM
hmmph...the splits wasn't as bad as I thought:confused:

Lori that is pretty cool about the Olympic Athletes. And that is great that you are enjoying your CS dvds.
I am checking in with Cathe's 4 Day Split Double Cardio Premix. I really like that one.
Well I DVR ANTM so I can watch it whenever I like. Yes there was a lot of DRAMA on yesterday's episodes. Most of which I fast forward through. The girl called Sandra got elminated. I didn't think she was very good either and thought she could have gone earlier than last night. Usually each season I can find one or two girls that I can get behind. This season so far, not really anyone is saying to me that she be chosen.
Saundra
Lori
April 2nd, 2009, 03:22 AM
I know what you mean. for some reason, I didn't really even care that I was missing the show. before, there was no way. or I'd at least be switching over on commercials.
I could only relate to Sandra, because I would think of you. even though I know it wasn't pronounced the same. but, her full name is Cassandra too. almost like yours. I guess alot of Saundra's & Sandra's are shortened?
you know who was starting to get on my nerves, was that little gal with the b.ig buggy eyes. I can't remember her name. with the long straight blonde hair.
her little pouty face was starting to get old. every time the camera was on her, she starts to make faces & the pouty mouth & the b.ig eyes.
my b.utt is so sore...already. there seemed to be more athletes listed & pictured. about a dozen. maybe more are on the other dvd I haven't done yet. this one had 5. I loved it. it's certainly tough enough.
Diane, if you leave your peppers long enough on the vine, they will turn red. the less mature peppers are green & the more mature they are they will turn red. if your talking about bell peppers.
Saundra, when is your gum surgery scheduled? did you get your extra retainers?
crm549
April 2nd, 2009, 03:42 AM
I only wanted extra cases. And I got those. I had to order them from Amazon. None of the stores had them. This way I can keep one case in my bathroom, one in my purse, one on the kitchen table and then I have an extra one.
Her name is Allison and you are right but I think she does have model potential if she could diversify her look a bit. She seems to have only one look.
I did not know her name was Cassandra. Actually I am surprise she goes by Sandra. Most people I meet with that name - shortens it to Cassie.
The gum surgery hasn't been schedule yet. I was hoping to do it at the end of April but I have to wait for insurance. Most likely I won't do it until June because I will be on vacation in May. It is not that bad. The doctor is just going to cut off the extra gum tissue I have on my lower teeth. I already had the upper done but she didn't want to do the lower until the braces came off. The worse part of the process is the deep cleaning afterwords.
Okay I really do need to do some work today. Yesterday I really goofed off.
Also I need to find out whose on call this week so I can give them the duty blackberry.
Saundra
Lori
April 2nd, 2009, 04:13 AM
Allison is the only one who sort of stood out. your right. she draws attention somehow, someway. just what a model needs to do.

I did not want to get up this morning! I am sleeping in tomorrow for sure! I feel so tired.
Saundra, are you off this weekend?
sounds like you need a vacation. hey, there's a long weekend coming up next weekend. or do you have to work that too?
work-funk....I always got those in the summertime. wishing I was anywhere else other than work.
Diane, my DH is a much positive person. but, he is realistic. I think everyone pretty well knows it's not looking really good for my FIL. he hasn't changed much for the better, which he should have by now.:(
Saundra, that's really good. (for us medal wise). especially we haven't really done that great for a few years. we haven't had very good athletes since are older ones retired. last I can even think of was Elvis. can't even remember our pairs? um, Shae-Lynn Bourne & Victor Kratz? embarrassing.:o
my mom loves the figure skating. I did like Jamie Sale & David Pelletier.
some Olympics are better than others. because of all the drama & scandals that go on behind it all. you know what I mean? like the Tonya Harding stuff.
I think some athletes are just more exciting in general & draw you to them.
all our venues are up & ready. athletes from all over are here already using them & practicing on them. exciting.
fun to see & read about them being here.
gonna be fun to watch the events. coming fast.
apparently the rink for the speed skating isn't gonna be breaking any world records. the athletes are complaining that is very slow. something to do with being so close to the ocean? the closest it's ever been than in any other Olympics? or right at sea level?
anyhow their having a tough go of it. for speed. LOL....speed skating...apparently not.
Annette, is it all weekend too? LMAO, a couple of times after reading about even your hair hurting! did your hair have DOMS this morning?!
gone to run on the treadmill. ughh.
sunny & warm today & all weekend:cool: ahhh.

Super raining here today.
Annette I always feel as if I am a day late and a dollar short.
Lori, that amazes me all the science that goes into making the facilities and that the location of the facility can decide whether or not it is a fast rink or not.
I am going to try to sleep in too tomorrow. Didn't get home until almost 3am. If I didn't want to offload the duty blackberry I wouldn't be going in now but there is no way I want to hold on to this thing for the whole weekend.
Althougth I considered it with all the rain it is definately a day to stay in.
Diane, AI is okay. I felt the judges really messed up with there wild card selections. I thought there were better singers they could have chosen to make the competition that much more interesting. The guys are the strongest this season. Out of 8 there are only 2 girls left.
Checking in with The FIRM Strong Heart. Another great oldie.

ya, you would think though some engineers would have known this (the rink), & would have advised them, not the best location?
now the experts are all saying it should have been in the Whistler location?
alittle late now.
the only thing not completed is the Athlete's Village. sore spot here, because it has gone way over budget & the citizen's are right pi$$ed because, taxes will go up.
short sleeve weather here. we had that rain Saundra. finally getting a longer stretch of nice weather. not just one or 2 days. we're above 70 degrees. you'll get it soon too. sweeping it's way across the nation.
catch you in awhile.

47 more minutes of work and then I am out of here. I might even play hookey from class tomorrow. We will see. I should probably go just to get started on the next project which is due the day after spring break is over.
Okay 46 mintues now. It was raining cats and dogs when I left home. By the time I got to Washington dC it was bright sunny and hot. I had on my *** polar jacket and had to take it off.
Don't know what it is like out there now.
45 minutes to go. Did you all here about the nut that **** up the ACA in New York? I tell you stuff like that makes me mad.

Hi y'all,
All I can say is goodgoshamighty, *** sista in Irmo is so achy, my aches hurt! Didn't make it today, will try for tomorrow. I think if I take potassium and msm, I will feel better. I think I'll have DOMS for alooooong time!
Thank goodness for the weekend. I do want to sleep on Sunday but nooooo. Dave and Katie have to serve. I want a weekend where I don't have to do anything when the girls are in town.
Yep I saw that shootin', very sad indeed. As my momma used to say, "the sap is a risin'", when people are comin' out of cabin fever.
It is sunny here, too bad they cancelled the walk.
Thanks for the prayers, the girl who got hit was unhurt. The young teenage didn't see her crossing the road.
Y'all have a great night!

Y'all,
What a whirlwind of a weekend! We walked the Lake Murray Dam Saturday morning. It was cold at first then it warmed up. Then did Annie's Slow and Heavy class, wonderful class. Partied like a rock star,,,,,perhaps to forget how sore we were! In a few minutes getting motivated to do Better Body and Buns.
Yes thanks for the prayers.
My neighbor will be out of the house until Tuesday. I might just live in the tub until she gets back! :D
Dave still in a snit, they have left for church, enjoying the peace and quiet!!
Y'all have a great day!

Hi Ladies:
Saundra I like the pictures of your kitchen.
I think my colors in my house will almost be like yours is.
We are going to look at kitchens I think tomorrow.
Are you still working on STS. I am noticing differences I did slim down in the chest area I am kind of glad, now if I can see some sliming in the hips I will be happy.
Lori we moved the grapevine that we have at our house now to the house we are going to move to. Hopefully it makes it. Now I just have to read up on how to take care of it.
Annette I went to church with hubby today, my Father was there he was in a snit also, he is annoyed of Nat because of a job they did together a money disagreement of course. But any way his girl friend said good morning and sat next to us and my father didn't say a thing to me. After chruch he walked out without waiting and didn't even say hello to me. I couldn't believe it no matter who you are mad at you still say hello to your daughter.
No workout today
Yesterday was AM yoga and the First 2 cycles of Low impact circuit Cardio only with Cathe and the abs at the end

Hi Ladies. I am in Active Recovery week for STS. So this week I will be doing the Core Rhythm and Crunch workouts that I have had forever and a day.
It was a gorgeous day in Maryland. I can't believe it is already time to go back to work. Time has been flying by.
Diane, where do you go look for kitchens at? Home Depot or Lowes? I based my colors off my dishes. I have a set of dishes with different colors - cream, manderin, sage, and plum. So I painted one part of the wall sage green and another part of the wall orange. Of course I always get comments about my orange wall but I like my orange wall.
I was sitting in my living room today thinking I want to put a ceiling fan in there. Each year I say that but get preoccupied with other things.
Annette glad you had a good time.
Lori did you get all your yard work done?

Lori did you get all your yard work done?
yes, we did. & my arms are so sore this morning. my biceps are killing me. I could barely move them. the worse DOMS, I've ever had in my arms, I think?
we ended up doing the backyard too. we liked what this de-thatcher did on the front lawn so much, we decided to do the back. a b.igger task than anticipated.
glad it's done.
it was hot here yesterday too. today's supposed to be even hotter. I had on shorts & a muscle shirt. had to put a t-shirt on. started to burn.
same here, this weekend went by way too fast.
have you done these Crunch or Core Rhythms yet? or are they brand new to you?
Annette, did you take any pictures?
now I have a whole lot to do inside the house. being outside all weekend, the inside got neglected.
Saundra, do you know if Appollo Ohno is going to compete next year? we we're wondering. he hasn't come here to train yet. & he's from right next door in Seattle.
we love him. I tried to google & find out. can't seem to find anything.
do you happen to know anything?
I wanted to go watch him train. but, so far, there's been a bunch of Germans, Koreans & Dutch & other countries here?
my friend thinks he retired. but, I don't remember hearing that? he's still really young. she said that's why he was on Dancing With the Stars?

Lori I don't know. I usually don't keep up with the Speed Skaters until the Olympics Trials start.
I have had both the Crunch workouts and Core Rhythms workouts forever but this is the first time that I am doing them. I actually had the Core Rhythm workouts schedule for after Meso Cycle 3 but decided to do both sets of workouts this week - The plan is to do a morning and evening workout. Although I went ahead and did both workouts this morning. This week is my active recovery week from STS.
Well at least the yard work is done. I really should get out and do my stuff before it gets too hot and humid. My neighbor cut both of our grasses yesterday. So the yards look real nice.

I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
Core Rhythms looks fun. is it? looks like you would really feel it in the abs too?
have you noticed changes with STS in your body? what's coming up next? when will you be finished again? will you have the STS cardio by then?
Lori

found it. was spelling his name wrong (Apolo correct spelling). apparently he plans on competing in 2010.
he was just in some World's Championship last month. ahh, I knew he never retired.
I better get back to doing something around here.

STS Shock cardio won't be out until the fall at least that is when Cathe says it will be. I just want it to come out by the new year and then I will start the STS weights and cardio in January.
STS has 3 cycles and each cycle is 4 weeks. (Personally I think that is one week too long) but between each cycle you are suppose to take a week off where you don't lift any weights. So that is the week I am in now. I will start STS Meso 3 Next monday and will finish up like 8th of May I believe.
Well that is good about Apolo. He is a cutey. I think he does short track speed skating.
I have only done 1 workout from Core Rhythms and I like the first workout. I have a total of 8 workouts from them and I am going to try to do six of them this week. I say try because who knows what will come up this week.
