Greetings Workout Partners.

Here's an update on future Fitness Favorites workouts:

1) Fitness Favorites has a new set, and the technical facility is ready. Productions will begin later this summer; and FitFaves will release workouts on a regular basis, perhaps as often as quarterly.

2) The workouts will follow your requests as much as possible. (Thanks for the many contributions!) It seems like dumbbells, step and medicine ball are your favorite equipment choices.

3) The designs will be based on the original concepts (weights + cardio) of the early Firm workouts, with the addition of more modern inclusions. Most will be variations on weights-cardio-yoga-core fusion.

4) Some of the workouts will be specialized for different markets, but most will be hard-core, sweat-a-bunch sessions.

5) All will reflect the shooting and editing style to which you have been introduced, plus the best selections of available music.

6) Packaging will be streamlined, in order to keep the price as low as possible.

All best wishes,

Anna Benson

Anna,
So Excited!
I swear other workout creators are simply "music challenged". You are the one and only that combines movement with music in an elegant and motivating fashion.
I am glad that you will continue to include some yoga.

I hope they are as tough as the Firm Classics/original FitPrimes and look as good as the WHFN!

Hi Anna!

This is great news! I can't wait for new workouts from you. I know that in your prevous posts, you mentioned using the BodyWedge. I hope you can make at least 1 workout that includes the BodyWedge - it sounds like a fun, effective piece of equipment! I, too, love the 14" step, the Medicine Ball and your former FitPrime/WHFN workouts. Whatever you make, I will purchase! Looking forward to it!

A fan forever -

Chris

So glad to hear about these workouts. So glad also not to have to purchase any other equipment right now. Even happier about the "enhanced Firm Classic" format. Nothing works for me like the original Firm Classic format. The minute you say these are ready, my card will be ready!!!!!

Good news.http://www.fitnessfavorites.com/board/images/smilies/smile.gif

Hum, I probably should not write this but I would not be true to myself if I did not. So here goes:
I do not like the voice over idea at all and maybe that is not an option any more. Was not clear on that. Anna does such incredible work preparing her trainers that I would miss that aspect with the voice over concept. Some of my favorite instructiors (all of which Anna mentored) have moved on and I realize that life changes so I must also adjust to that. I would love to see you use Janey Poteet, Kai, Kelsi, Heide, even Lorraine Chabut (she is so athletic looking to me). I'd rather not see Keli again -- she is a great instructor but to me she just doesn't have that Anna Bensen thing about her that is so trademark Anna. I love that trade mark. I am 50 now and feel like I grew up with that trade mark. I would rather not see Melissa Grill again . I like that workout (lower body) but I find myself not doing it because of her. I would love to see Tamela again though. She is fun and athletic. It would be a real treat to see Nancy (can't remember her last name -- but one of the original Firm trainers - heavy southern accent. She is a great instructor and so traditional Anna to me -- that is a great compliment. I would not rather see the one that led GForce II. I did not connect with her for some reason. Of course the ones I would really die to see working with Anna are the ones that have moved on and made a place for themselves in the world of fitness. I love their present work as well ,but I really miss the Firm Classic format. I'm glad the world of fitness is large enough for both styles. What a lucky bunch of home exercisers we are!!! Well, I've sounded off enough. If I've offended someone, sorry did not mean to but I would really love to see some of these "very seasoned Hands"(i.e. Heide, Nancy, Jany, Tamela, et.al.) leading us again through Anna's awesome creative work. Hey, and even though I am a guy, I have at least one copy of all of Anna's work starting with Vol 1-- I think that is why I am healthier , more tone, and stronger than most of my 40 plus year old male friends. http://www.fitnessfavorites.com/board/images/smilies/wink.gif
Thanks,
Allen

I'm also excited to see what Anna comes up with this round. I would like clarity on the statement of: 6) Packaging will be streamlined, in order to keep the price as low as possible.

Does this mean no chaptering, scene selection, etc.?

I hope not Tina; I was thinking no pretty picture on the case sort of like the Prime Power and Ballroom workouts were in plain white boxes. But that is a good question. http://www.fitnessfavorites.com/board/images/smilies/confused.gif

I am very excited about the idea of new footage. I just did Metaboost for the ***** time since last Fall, (due to neck/shoulder injury), and I must say, I miss everything about how Anna puts together a workout.

Right when you think you've seen it all, something new emerges. I like the idea of these being challenging/advanced, etc., but one question is: Will you have modifiers showing a easier version for those who may not be at an advanced level? I know I will have to start out slow and careful due to my neck. (no jumping, plyo, etc). Visually being able to see someone else modifying can be very encouraging and helpful.

I know I could probably figure it out myself after so many years of working out, but seeing it on screne is the best!

Metaboost is a good one. It is challenging, especially when I heavied up. It is a kick**** workout to say the least. How is your neck? Hope you are feeling better Tina T.

As an aside, I took some of FP's on vacation. In the hotel was a workout room so with my fanny lifter and laptop, I proceeded to workout. This girl was in there (chatting on her cellphone while working out, didn't see the point in that all), she kept coming closer and closer to see what I was doing. I even managed to do lat rows at 25lbs! Yes! I didn't have 25lbs at home. Needless to say I had major DOMS but in a good way. I can't wait until I get a set of 25lbs.

Could I please ask why the my post was edited? I believe the word "1st" was taken out. Due to my injury I have been unable to workout like I used to. I hope this is not a crime.

It wasn't edited out. I think there is a glitch somewhere. That happened to me as well. Annette

Let's try again and we'll know for sure:

(edited to say, it is a glitch).

I don't believe it is a glitch and it wasn't edited either. We have been battling offensive spam. I am not certain, but believe the words you see as "stars" are words that have been added to a censor list because of the way they have been used in frequent spam posts. We are working on a way to deal with this more effectively, so please hang in there while we continue to deal with this problem.

I agree with pretty much everything Allen said. I'm not fond of the voice over thing, maybe for the cool down section only.

Tucker, you are thinking of Nancy Tucker. Nancy has taken over the old FIRM studio, it's now called BodyFit Columbia, I too would love to see her lead some of the new Anna workouts. Jayne was on the horizon some time ago, I hope that can be worked out.

I've used voiceover workouts with several yoga tapes. It doesn't spoil the workout at all. If Anna was doing the voiceovers, it would be lovely--she has such a beautiful voice.

I also hope that some of the new workouts use the wedge.

I'm so glad that the medicine ball is coming back:) .

There are some instructors that are more suited to Anna Benson style workouts than others but so far I have not encountered anyone that I would be unhappy to see again.

I've been away from working out for awhile so I'm not sure what a wedge is.
If it does take up space, can it at least be stored away in a closet when not in use? While I wouldn't be crazy about buying another piece of equipment, anything I've ever purchased for any of Anna's ***** workouts has always been worth the expense. She even got me using the rebounder my husband bought me almost 20 years ago- in G Force!!

Thanks Annette!! It looks great because it is inflatable like the ball we use at the Y.
I got the rotation calendars you sent. Thanks so much. I started the ***** week of Kick**** rotation. This series isn't so much harder as it is different.
My son, who is 5, really enjoyed "Fast Cheetah" 'this morning with all the plyojumps and kickboxing moves it has!!

You are welcome! I also pasted the rotations as well. I forgot they were on the WHFN page. I have done both rotations they are awesome.
I had a chance last December to workout at Fitprime and try the BodyWedge. The best way I can describe working out on it: is similiar to working out with a stability ball and the transfirmer at the same time. I am hooked also on rebounders. Now if I can find someone to weld the legs I will be able to use both G-Forces. The children found it out in the woods. And it still bounces!!

Don't you love it when kids get into working out. I noticed my son had my 3lb weights in the bedroom. He is getting ready for football season. Andrew is too funny.

Enjoy the rotations!!! Happy Exercising! Annette

I just checked out this link. I'm thinking that the bodywedge seems really versatile and much more comfortable than the stability ball.

Greetings!

The Body Wedge 21 is now in the Store. Even though the price and shipping have increased, (both the foam and transportation are petroleum based) the wedge will make any workout better. Once you are introduced, you will use it with all your workouts.

Next week I will try to add the cheaper, inflatable model to our Shoppping Cart.

All best wishes,

AnnaVere
