Hi everyone!

I have a question; do you think we need more cardio or more strength training as we age? http://www.fitnessfavorites.com/board//images/smilies/confused.gif I have been reading about this and some say we need more cardio because our metabolism is slowing down, but some (and I believe Anna is included in this) say we need more strength training. What do you think? What do you do more of? Thanks for you input.

I guess I have always read that we need more weight work, because we start to lose muscle as we age. To my understanding, muscle keeps metabolism burning.

My doctor also tells me it is increasingly important to closely watch my diet as I age, especially restricting bread and "bready foods."
