In the last two months I have revisited my original Fitprime and WHFN workouts and find that I enjoy them more than any of my other workouts. Before that, I was following a TLT rotation I got off of Tracie's website, but I like Anna's workouts more because the music is fabulous (very motivational) and I can heavy up on the weights. Last night, for the first time ever, I used 15 lb dumbbells for the leg presses in Strong Bear-I was so proud of myself. I also like Anna's workouts becuase of the jumps she incorporates without going overboard (helps with my low bone density) and the balance work. My current favorites are:

WHFN Steamin Cardio
WHFN Strong Bear
Fitprime Fast Cheetah
Fitprime From the Ground Up
Fitprime Crunch Time

I also like G force 2. I don't like cardio and this is one of the few cardio workouts I do regularly.

Anybody else still use these workouts regularly?

I do!!!

The WHFN workouts are my current favorites even though I have all the original FIRMs and FitPrimes.

I tried getting into Cathe a couple of years ago, but just couldn't. I can't say they were too hard because you can always lighten up on weights, I just never reached for them or changed the rotation at the last minute.

Anna's workouts are soothing to the soul as well as a workout for the body.

Me, too! Anna is the best! (and I'm even starting to get what she was up to with G Force 2!)

That's great that you bumped up your weights, mec! I think a big reason people get tired of a workout is that after a while, it is just not challenging anymore. Periodically increasing the weight keeps it challenging (to say nothing of the changes you will see in your body!).

I love the original Fitprimes when I'm feeling feisty, Kickbutts when I'm feeling somewhat less energetic but want to work hard, and the WHFN Fitprimes when I want a workout that's fun and easy but surprisingly effective. Throw in the old Firms and I never get bored.

I didn't click with Cathe either, Willow, for a lot of different reasons. I particularly dislike that she stops for rests. Sometimes I welcome them; more often than not, however, they interrupt my flow and are irritating. I far prefer being able to pause the workout when I want the rest, not when the instructor does.

Anyway, when I try other workouts, the result is a whole new appreciation of the brilliance and elegance of Anna's workouts (except for Gin Miller, who puts out the only non-Benson workouts that I adore).

I wish Anna would put together a little FF/WHFN weekend - I would LOVE that!

Speaking of Firm workouts, I just started revisiting the classics and I'm really enjoying them! I had a break from working out for about a month -- just sort of lost my excitment for it. I finally decided to go back to what got me in shape and excited about working out -- Vol. 1! I'm now totally reinspired to work out and am planning on doing the classics and pre-goodtimes firms for a while. The only classics I don't have are Vol 2 and Vol 4.

Hi Donna!!

Hi Everyone! I have to admit, I have been doing mainly Cathe for the last 15 months or so. I found myself getting burned out, just not making any further progress and have commited to doing "just" WHFN for a month, after taking a rest week. I also have to admit that I think all the talk about WHFN being "too easy" got to me, and I left these workouts out of my rotations for far too long. I am in love with them all over again and I have NO problem at all finding them challenging. They are so good for the mind, body and spirit - I am definitely keeping them in my rotations from here on out. :) Lori

I use WHFN, Anna Benson FIRMS, and TLT on a regular basis. The main body of my rotation is WHFN however. These are all I own. (Can't get into any FIRMS Anna didn't create).

Any news on any new workouts by Anna, any time soon?

I've gotten back to using the Kick Butt series and really like them. I did Steamin' Cardio this a.m. and it really got my heart rate up. I wonder why the forum has been so quiet, though. Are people falling off the wagon or tired of FP/KB?

I used to come to this forum a lot, but it just got really quiet. I don't know know what happened to everyone.

I heard the WHFN infomercial was supposed to be on a major network - wonder if that was a rumor?

I never saw the infomercials at all and I haven't seen any of the instructors respond, either. It seems they're either not on board anymore or have no information to share.

Unfortunately , I think it's the "nature of the beast" in us, in respect to the fact that we tend to be drawn to the sights with alot going on. VF is the hub of information for all sights b/c it doesn't sell one specific product. But in regards to the other sights such as Cathe, TLT, etc...if they are getting ready to launch new workouts, that's where I tend to go to be kept up on the latest news. Plus, not hearing from Anna or the instructors gives me a feeling of being left behind and/or alone.

I value the ladies that come here to chat and motivate one another, but many times, (like probably now), I'm posting this with no one really here to read it. It will be read hours from now. I would love for this sight to become a huge gathering place, like back in the day when Anna had the FIRM. It was impossible for me to keep up with the threads!! :D My house would go unclean for days b/c I was glued to the sight. (I should probably get some counseling). :p

Well, I am drawn back here, I guess because I have been doing the WHFNs for the last couple of weeks.

Yes, it was a great forum when we were waiting and waiting for the new workouts! I miss it!

I definitely still use these workouts quite a bit! I only have two WHFNs (UBB and Pump), but I have 5 FitPrimes, and they're some of my favorite workouts. I would say that on average, I use maybe one of these workouts per week, but this week has been more: I did FitPrime Fast Cheetah on Monday, WHFN Pump today, and I'm planning on FitPrime JustRight Cardio+Weights+Yoga on Sunday. I just really click with this type of workout, not just Anna's version but also Tracie Long's two independent series.

I only do Anna Benson workouts and *despise* non-Anna "Firms". It is so nice to hear from other kindred spirits. :D

I have been doing a WHFN rotation for a month or so now. I started out with all Fitprimes then have been weekly increasing the Kickbutts and phasing out the Fitprimes. For some reason, I don't even feel like doing original Fitprimes or Firms. I'm just HOOKED on WHFNs!

I lost an inch off my waist after doing WHFN for a month again! I was very pleased. :)

Since I have been on the Fat Flush Plan, I mostly used Fitprimes/Kickbutts and the older Firms. I realize the more I workout with them, the more I appreciate them. Thanks, Anna

Annette, how long have you been doing FFP? I loved how effective this plan was when I did it 2-3 (?) years ago. I have been trying to motivate myself to follow it again, but I know if I'm not ready to give it 100%, it isn't a good time to start. I'd like to start it sometime w/i the next month though. I'm gradually cleaning up the contents of the kitchen so I won't be too temped when I get moving on it. Are you finding this effective for you?

Hi G-this is my 3rd week going into it. But I need to do phase 1 again due to female problems and stress. I found the first week I lost 6 lbs but gained 2 back over the past 2 weeks but my overall body fat I lost 3lbs.
However, it is not recommended to do over the top workouts but keep in simple including mini trampoline workouts. I have the workouts but no mini-trampoline/rebounder. The Fitprime/Kickbutt works well for this type of diet as well as everyday workouts without this diet.
I find since I already take the supplements that cranberry juice was the biggest obstacle in finding. The rest of increasing protein and veggies is a good reminder.
I enjoy reading Ann Gittleman's books. Very informative nutrution info. Hope this helps,. Annette

Just curious to hear more about what the FFP involves--anyone care to elaborate? I assume there is a book on this method?

Yes, the book is called Fat Flush Plan, (FFP) by Ann Louise Gittleman.

I found my book this weekend, so I'll have to get started soon. I remember FFP being very effective, but requiring more supplements than what I take now.

That is the downside about the supplements, there are alot. But Dollar General has the Omega's with flax and boarage for about $3.00. DG is also good for the vitamins etc. Eckerds and Walgreens ususally have buy one get one free. My last resort is Vitamin Shoppe because I spend waaaay too much money. And Walmart because I don't like Harbinson that much! :D

I do take my Omega's in the morning along with B's, Cinammon (for sugar cravings) and Vitamin C w/rose hips (a friend of mine told me take before working out), along with my diluted cranberry juice and fiber. I use Yerba Perma from the Vitamin Shop. I open it and mix with my water.

My other supplements such as CLA, etc I take at night. Annette

Thanks for sharing those tips. I remember it being costly getting started on FFP. As I began reading through again, I'd forgotten about some of the supps she suggests. It can add up pretty quickly.

The supplements are the key but I always go to Dollar General first. Even Dollar Tree sells CLA with green tea. Then Walgreens and Eckerds for the 2 for 1. Walmart doesn't have bad prices either. The Vitamin Shop is good as well as Earth Fare. But sometimes I check the clearance section as well and stock up. The cleansing system basically is Liverite and Milk Thistle. Also a natural laxative with some of the same ingredients are in the kit.
I would love to do organic food but I have to compromise somewhat. So I try my best though. Have fun with FFP. Annette
