Can the nondominant side become your dominant side? http://www.whfn.com/board/images/smilies/confused.gif

Like when they used to force left-handers to write with their right hand? The brain is always wired one way or the other. You can develop your ability to use your non dominant side, but your brain wiring doesn't change.

What a great question. I never even thought about it.

In terms of developing strength, I think it's possible at least in theory for the non-dominant side to become dominant. In reality, it would take a lot (and I do mean a lot!) of work.

I'm left-handed, but in terms of strength, I think my right side is generally stronger, in part from years of doing workouts that start on the right, but also from years of holding things in my right hand while using my left hand to unlock/open doors, etc. My coordination is better on my left side, and I have better balance on my left leg than on my right. At least for me, being left-handed makes dominance/non-dominance more difficult to determine.
