Hi Everyone - It's been a while since I've done this! I've been a Firm Believer, however, for about 7 1/2 years now. I have a question as to why the originals have been reproduced? I found Metaboost & Flex Posture together on one DVD, as well as Steamin' Cardio and Push Pull at a retail store in town near where I live to check them out, and although, I do love them as I do all The Firm workouts, I'm still curious as to why they have been redone, other than to put them on a DVD format and re-introduce the original class format as opposed to just a single instructor throughout the workout? As much as I love Heidi Tanner though, she does not quite have the same dance moves as Kelsie Daniels did in the original, "Steamin' Cardio"!

Hi there and welcome! :) Some moves and segments were also revised in some of the older workouts that were redone. I think the original FitPrimes were produced for a smaller, more specific audience - those of us who had always been former Firm followers and already knew how great Anna's workouts were. The production quality, even though it was always ok for me, was not good enough for mass marketing on the originals. It's just my opinion, but maybe they were redone in light of that - to produce these same great workouts with better production quality?

She didn't, from what her post says. She said she found the WHFN retail versions in a store.

The Firm is currently under GT Direct (Good Times Entertainment), but soon to be part of Gaiam, Inc.
You should check out firmdirect.com for more info. The new workouts and the TF series are amazing - you won't even miss your old originals!

I could talk about this for hours, but here's the short version: IMO, besides having different instructors (except for Heidi), the original FitPrimes are all advanced workouts. The new FitPrimes are intermediate; they have changed some of the exercises and made the workouts easier in Strong Bear, Fast Cheetah, Push Pull (originally From the Ground Up), Steamin' Cardio, Crunch Time, and Floor Burn.
The production quality of the original FitPrimes does not compare to the perfection of the new ones. Weights First, Core First, Up and Down, G-Force, Just Right Weights, and Just Right Flex Posture have not been duplicated.
I have all the originals, and I wouldn't part with them for anything. I think they are excellent workouts, and now they are collectors items. :D

I'm kinda new to Firm and FitPrimes and Kickbutts. Are the Kickbutt series remakes too?

I did Lower Body Burn the other day and, at times, it felt a lot like one of my favorites -- Core First. Anyone else have that sense?

Actually, the WHFN Kickbutts are remakes of the old FitPrimes, and the WHFN FitPrimes are new workouts. Clear as mud?

Why is all that going on? I left for a while and came back to find Tracy and Susan's FitPrimes remade! Are those girls still around?

Actually Tracie went out on her on over a year ago and opened a health club in Charleston, along with producing workout videos with her team of instructors. Susan is with her. She just released 4 new workouts at the end of December. 5 before that.
Along with Tracie and Anna not working together, there is also Lisa kay and Pam Cauthen that no longer work for the FIRM. Everyone is getting moved around and as long as they are doing what they love, more power to them. I wish all of them well, as they have given so much to us over the years.

The differences are small, but essential. The original videos only have an instructor in them, there are no students. Some of the moves were eliminated- like ball drills, which I found to be rather clunky and difficult to perform. The new videos are as effective and are much more visually stunning. I hope this helps.

Susan Harris? She isn't in WHFN workouts. She was in the original FitPrimes - Floor Burn and Crunch Time. For information on her most recent workouts you'll need to look at Tracie's web site. (Sorry, I don't know that off the top of my head.)

Are WHFN and the Firm the same company? I have just discovered WHFN and absolutely love it. Just wondering if there were any instructor updates as well.

Really, I didn't know that I thought Pam was still with the Firm when they do the Transfirmer set that recently came out. Did she leave after that. I believe her and Tamela have a place I remember seeing it on the web once. But that was a while ago...
