I've noticed that a lot of people are using them with their workouts. Would you be able to offer me some good brands/pointers in shopping for one?
Thanks!

I have a Polar and I like it. I bought mine from www.heartratemonitorsusa.com (http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com) (they sell other brands too). Min tracks calories burned per session and also per week, % of calories from fat, time in hr training zone and average hr. Polar has some new models out -- I think they are F4, F6 and F11 or something like that. Check out the link and see what you may like;)

Mine is a Polar but it is a very basic model. I still love it though!!!! It simply measures your heart rate, nothing else. I didn't want to spend allot on my first one so I snapped this one up at Walmart for 38 bucks. I will probably upgrade eventually, but its great to know if you are truly where you are supposed to be during a workout.

Mine is also a more simple Polar model. It does measure minutes in your zone and workout time also. I definitely want to upgrade at some point.

I just bought a Polar F11 at www.heartratemonitorsusa.com (http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com) - it was on sale and had free overnight shipping. Previously, I had an M52. I LOVED my M52, and this F11 is very nice, though I'm still figuring it out. It allows you to program different heart rate zones. You can also download the info to your computer. I got a red watch - so cute.

Looks like Polar is a good brand. I'll check out Walmart and some sporting goods stores and compare with the online prices.
Thanks for your help. :D
