View Full Version : PUMP! A deceptive workout.

The first time or two that I did Pump, I took it easy to learn the moves. Friday, I really put my all into it and let me tell you. I am majorly sore even today. Those heel presses burned my quads like no other exercise. I walk like a crab and wince non stop. Another area that is sore is between my shoulders and elbows along my upper arms. I am thinking it might be the uneven pushups. I have done these pushups before and never got this sore. Anybody else have this reaction? I love this workout!.:)

Pump always gets me sore in the glutes! This is a perfect workout!

I had the same experience. I liked Pump the first time, but didn't love it. Once I "knew the tape" and could concentrate on form - WOW - great workout.

Wow, this is good to read. I just got Pump & Lean in the swap, did Lean last Sunday and am now really looking forward to doing Pump. Now I'm really looking forward to it & hope I'm up to the task. Maybe I'll try to do them both this weekend again.
BTW as a pregnant person (22 1/2 wks), I'm really glad that these w/os are only 45- minutes long and don't require working out at your "hardest" intensity, you know what I mean?;)

Yes, but please be careful too. Don't forget to check with your doctor and listen to your body. Modify, slow down and/or rest if you need to.

Thanks, Ginger you are so sweet to post that. Yes, I finally did Pump yesterday and have good DOMS today. For me, at least, the new FPs that I've tried have been perfect for me right now. I really enjoyed Pump a lot, thought it had good weight work, and I thought the cardio tune was fun! :D

I did Pump for the very first time yesterday and my butt is more sore (and evenly distributed) than it ever has been with any other video. I'm really surprised, and I loved it. At first - while I was doing it I was annoyed with how often I had to change equipment - but then I realized, this is what makes it interesting and fun. I finally got some yoga blocks and am so impressed with how effective squeezing them is for the triceps & inner thighs. It's SUCH a great workout, I'm so happy I got these...

I liked Pump the first time I did it. By the third time, I was IN LOVE.
I found I could actually heavy up on this workout. Sometimes people say you can heavy up on a certain workout, but I'd try and not be able to. With Pump, I actually can heavy up quite a bit. What an excellent workout with heavy weights!
My first experience with Pump: I was doing an exercise that felt really good so I thought I surely must be doing it wrong. Just at that point, Heidi said, "This feels good!" :D

I also can heavy up on this workout which I really love because, like Redeye, I have found few workouts that I can increase my weights with. Love this one!

Does anyone actually do this back to back with Lean?
I havent dared yet..I just put a 100% cardio video or kickboxing in the middle.
