Hi everyone,
I'm a new WHFN fan! I love the variety and how much energy is left from working out intelligently.. I can't wait to see more results. I really think that this is the workout that is not going to sabotage my diet.
I did Metaboost first this morning. The tricep pushups.. is there anyway to modify them up so that they are more difficult?
Thanks for the tips!

Hi, Lisa, and welcome! You could add an extra set of tricep push-ups to make it more challenging? To be honest, I don't like tricep push-ups, so I tend to do kickbacks or overhead french press instead. :p

Hi Jennifer,
Is bring the hands closer together a way to intensify the tricep pushup? On a mission to keep perking up my tri's in the middle of tanktop season..

I totally agree! Love to do the french presses! However,I also know it's important to balance the work so I do the triceps push-ups too. Didn't Heidi mention in one of the workouts that it's more difficult if you position your legs farther away from your body?

Cate, I do remember Heidi saying that - that would make the tricep push-up harder.
Lisa, you could try putting the hands closer together, but be careful of form with your elbows, etc. If it feels like it's working you harder, and doesn't feel uncomfortable, I'd go for it. :)

Hello
Start off in a strong core plank ( like a redwood tree) on you toes.
Draw your shoulders back by "retracting the scapula(aka shoulder baldes gently together) then draw the ribs in and squeeze your inner thighs ( this gets the Iliospoas muscle to strengthen)
You could really focus on keeping your hands right underneath your chest and your elbows "shaving" the bottom half of your rib cage as you lower yourself to the floor - hover "like a table" over the foor - Do not adjust you hands! Push back up with out sinking into the lower back or sticking you buttocks out. ( just like the tree) Nothing moves except your elbows throught the bending action.
This should be extremely challenging

Hi Tamela - Thank you for taking the time to offer a more difficult, inspiring move.. I'll give it a try next time. My triceps are quivering already I think.
