Hi!! I have decided to start low carbing again to lose some weight. I have used Atkins successfully in the past but have always found Induction tough to do while following an intense exercise program. What programs are you low carbers out there following successfully? Thanks, everyone. Peggy

Hi Peggy,

You should visit the low carbers thread here on this forum. The ladies are just a wealth of information (and laughs!).

Personally, I'm back on Atkins (and Induction right now). I'm lucky in the fact that I've always been able to keep up my regular workout routine, even during Induction. Right now I'm working out primarily with WHFN's and Cathe's, with a Firm thrown in every now and then.
Good luck!;)

Peggy- I find induction to be a tough time. I have modified my routine for this week to Wt. trg. only any cardio or Aerobic Wt. trg. I do is completely optional but not necessary.

I find if I do too much at once something always suffers. And in my case, it's usually the eating.

Good Luck!

I just started Carbohydrate's Addicts Lifespan Program today. After much prayer, the book kind of fell in my hands so I decided to give it a try. Only on day 1....but so far haven't been that hungry.

for breakfast I had scrambled egg with cheese and tomatoes, 1 cup of coffee with Stevia and half & half

snack: 2 string cheeses and cherry tomatoes

Peggy - While I had no problems going low carb, I know from many others that induction can be hard. As I'm sure you read in your book, sometimes you have to cut back on the exercise in the beginning :) . And it's okay - you'll be able to pick it up again in no time. Switching your eating is a major step and it takes the body time to adjust. Be patient - you will adjust and be back to the workouts in no time ;) .

It might help to supplement with magnesium and potassium. Potassium is especially important in the beginning stages as your body releases water stores.

And in answer to your question, I have been on Protein Power for over 3 years and am thankful every day for my improved heath - and new physique :D !
