You advertise your bikini pack as a way to do periodization. Exactly what is the correct rotation? Or is it just pairing the "pairs"? The way I understand periodization, one needs to begin doing 30 minutes of steady state cardio for 5-8 weeks, then one progresses to 45 minutes-and that would be about 3 or 4 times a week, with strength training on alternate days. None of the WHFN workouts has even 30 minutes of cardio, at least according to the box. Now, it is true that one's heart rate IS up during weight work at times as well, so maybe it does count as time toward the 30 or 45 minutes one needs to spend in the target zone.
I remember Heidi Tanner writing of the effectiveness of periodization, particularly for weight loss. Would it be possible for you to come up with a list of actual time in the heart rate zone for each DVD? I think that would really help me to decide which ones are the best for me to concentrate on right now.
